Question❓ Nomad of Moft Magsafe Wallet ?

Anyone found a MagSafe wallet with a finger loop that fits the Duo? Lucked out on a preorder but want to have a wallet day one. I have AppleCare so I’m not looking for a case.

Question❓ Recommendations for a MagSafe power bank that can charge 2 devices

Can anyone recommend me a MagSafe power bank that can charge two devices at the same time? I’m trying to help my partner as she always keeps using her phone and ipad, specifically an iPhone 13 and iPad A16, and I’m trying to find a portable power bank that can charge both, by MagSafe and by cord. While i know a portable power bank may not fully charge both devices, i guess it would be okay it were just one device that can be fully charged by it. I’ve tried researching this before but I can’t seem to find a good portable power bank for this. Do any of you have any recommendations for something that fits on what I’m trying to find?

MagSafe Compatible Hit two speed bumps, phone didn't budge

Post image
2 Upvotes

Didn't notice the two speed bumps until I was basically on the first one. I was doing around 30. That one's on me.

The second hit knocked my sunglasses off the top of my head and into my lap. Immediately looked over, expecting my iphone air to be somewhere near the floor.

Still on the lisen mount. Navigation still going.

Phone bounced a little, but it stayed on and the base didn't move. I knew it was magnetic, just didn't realize how strong the hold was.

I'd seen a video before about a girl whose eyeliner stayed put through a car crash and didn't really get the excitement. I get it now haha.

Picked up my sunglasses at the next light and carried on. Considerably slower.

Review 🤔 BlackBrook Arden leather case (iPhone 17 Pro)

BlackBrook Arden leather case

I’ve been using the BlackBrook Arden in Burnished Tan on my iPhone 17 Pro. The first thing I noticed was the real-leather smell when I opened the box. It faded after a few days, but the feel of the leather is still the main reason I keep this case on the phone.

The leather and how it’s aging

Burnished Tan is tricky to photograph because it shifts with the light. In some shots it looks warm and orange-brown; in others it’s darker and more muted. It looks great with the Deep Blue iPhone 17 Pro. I’ve also had a few random compliments on it while using the phone out and about, which is unusual for a case.

I haven’t babied it. It picked up a few scratches early on, including one deep enough to catch my fingernail. After two or three days of normal handling, that mark was still visible but no longer caught my nail. I’m curious to see how the leather changes over time, so I’ll add an update after longer use.

Fit, protection and buttons

It’s thicker than the ultra-thin aramid cases I normally use, but it doesn’t feel bulky. The screen lip leaves enough clearance for me to put the phone face-down on a table, while still feeling low enough for edge swipes. The raised camera ring sits just high enough for everyday table contact without making the back feel like a huge wobble plate.

The metal buttons are clicky and easy to use. My one design gripe is the black finish against the tan leather; matching brown or bronze buttons would look more cohesive to me.

MagSafe and wireless charging

The magnets feel strong in my use. The case snaps firmly onto my stands and holds my Baseus MagSafe battery without sliding around.

I also compared an iPhone 17 Pro charging from 0 to 80% on an ESR CryoBoost with the fan on, once in this case and once caseless. The case-on run took 60 minutes; the caseless run took 51. That’s a 9-minute gap in my run. I saw a similar pattern with my uncooled Baseus battery: the phone felt warmer and charged more slowly than it does in my PITAKA case.

If you want more context on the charger itself, see my ESR CryoBoost.

The chart below shows the recorded 0–80% times for the fan-on CryoBoost runs.

The annoying bit: the USB-C cutout

Apple’s USB-C cable fits, but several thicker third-party cables I own don’t seat properly through the bottom opening. It means I have to pay attention to which cable I pack when I travel. A slightly wider cutout would solve it.

Final thoughts

If you want a case that stays pristine, this isn’t the one I’d pick. If you want real leather that feels good in the hand and will show its use, the Arden has been a lovely case so far. I like the grip, the look and the strong-feeling MagSafe attachment. The trade-offs are the slightly slower wireless run I recorded and the narrow cable opening. Neither makes me want to take it off, but the USB-C cutout is an everyday annoyance worth knowing about.

Just Got Mine! ONN (Walmart brand) travel 3-in-1 clearance deal.

Was in Walmart the other day and found this guy on clearance for $16.50. Great little travel charger for anyone that might need one. No it’s not as fancy as others, and the primary charging pad is only Qi2 15W, but it has a 5w certified watch charger and 5w pad as well. Pretty nice find and will be handy for trips. I tested it on my power meter and the phone peaks around 17w, while both the others deliver the 5w as advertised. I ended up buying three.

Just wanted to share.

Question❓ Looking for a MagSafe wallet that is a wallet first, but has magsafe (and stand) capabilities.

I have been searching the internet for a wallet that is a traditional wallet first, with multiple pockets, sleeves, a cash sleeve, and a fold. While also doubling (when needed) as an on-the-go stand. Basically like the Satechi magnetic wallet stand with a larger capacity.

I carry a round 5- 6 cards daily, including my University ID, which I need to unlock my dorm door, but the most convenient way (keeping it in the wallet) only works when the ID and any payment cards are separated by an RFID-blocking layer.

The traditional wallet that I am most considering is the Double Oak Cloud Wallet. (I love the layout and design, but it cannot be used as a stand)

For actual MagSafe wallets, I have entertained the following:

-the Satechi Magnetic Wallet Stand (small capacity)

-the native Union MagSafe wallet (small capacity)

-the various MOFT wallets (lack of compartments in general)

-the ESR Classic Magnetic Wallet Stand for 5 cards (lack of compartments to separate the payment cards and ID)

Question❓ Anyone else carry a fully charged power bank and forget the cable?

Post image
15 Upvotes

Switching between a work backpack and a smaller bag on weekends keeps leaving me with a charged power bank and no cable. Somehow the bank makes it into the right bag, but the cable stays wherever i last needed it. Usually discover this when my phone is nearly dead.

Lisen 10k power bank caught my eye because it has an attached usb c cable and magnetic wireless charging. The cable is honestly the bigger draw for me. Magnetic charging would be handy when checking directions or taking photos without a cord hanging between my phone and my bag.

It's just for my phone, so how awkward it feels to carry matters more to me than the maximum charging speed.

Anyone using one regularly? Do you switch between the cable and wireless or mostly stick with one?

Question❓ Any experience here with Ku Xiu chargers?

Post image
13 Upvotes

I am intrigued by the Ku Xiu X40 3-in-1 MagSafe charger. Especially the design and compactness. But I know very little about this brand, and most of the videos/reviews I’ve seen are more paid and sponsored. There isn’t much about long term reliability to be found.
Anyone have experience with these? Would you recommend it? Or should I shift to typical ESR or Ugreen products?

Question❓ PopSocket Magsafe Low Pro Grip

Hey guys! I got the Low Pro from PopSockets and it’s been great so far except for one caveat.

With Magsafe accessories, it works great as expected, but, when I try to stick it in metal surfaces like, the fridge or a metal surface, it’s weak. It slides down even, unlike in the advertisments where it’s solid and stable. Before anyone comes for me, I tried in different surfaces already. I have a magnetic case for another device and I know which surfaces are supposedly weak or strong. Tried it with and without my magsafe phone case too.

PopSocket’s Customer Service is great and has been so supportive of this concern! I was just wondering if anyone else has this experience so I would know if I’ll get the voucher to buy another one or just refund it fully. (i paid in a different current so there will be a little Exhange Rate diff. Bear with me)

I don’t live in the US so they can’t send a replacement.

The overall flatness and that magsafe feature is mainly why I paid that price tag for a pop socket so…

Help❗️ Moft MagSafe findmy wallet randomly beeps. Anyone know why?

My Moft MagSafe Findmy wallet just randomly beeps all the time. In my pocket, on the phone, removed from the phone, when I’m home with it, when I leave it home. It’s driving me nuts. Slow beeps. Fast beeps.

I assume Moft has bought some after market tracker, and other MagSafe Findmy wallets have similar issues.

Does anyone know what I’m doing to set it off?

Has anyone solved the beeping? Can I turn off all beeping unless I specifically ask for it?

I’ve tried a lot of different settings but nothing works.

Also, it is fully charged.

DIY🪚 My vehicles OEM wireless charging pad sucked (Lucid Gravity). So I installed Magsafe pucks that are giving me 25w charging now!

Thumbnail

My Lucid Gravity has (like almost every vehicle on sale today) a horrible wireless charging pad that would just heat up my phone.

My solution is 2 Apple MagSafe pucks and some dBrand vinyl stickers to help them blend in better! I also colored the white cables black so they match nicely.

The 2 USB-C ports are 100w each so I’m getting the full 25w charging per puck.

Question❓ Planning an e-commerce site focused on MagSafe wallets. What matters most to you?

Body: I’m planning to build an e-commerce store selling MagSafe wallets. I’ve used several myself and know there are a lot of pain points out there.

I’d love to hear your honest opinions: What’s your #1 thing you care about when picking a MagSafe wallet?

  • Magnet strength (won’t fall off in pocket/car)
  • Slimness & thickness
  • Card retention (holds 1 card securely, not only when stuffed full)
  • Material durability (leather, woven, metal, etc.)
  • Find My / tracking capability
  • RFID blocking
  • Built-in kickstand/grip (or do you hate extra bulk from gimmicks?)
  • Price

Also: What’s your biggest frustration with current MagSafe wallets on the market?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Question❓ How come when I charge with a MagSafe battery pack it charges past 80% but with the cord it stops at 80% like I got it set to?

Guess I just have to keep an eye on it & take the battery pack of when it gets around 79%, as the phone ignores the setting with the battery pack.

Question❓ Could I put a veryyyy thin piece of metal between a magsafe case and accessory?

Let me start of by saying that I absolutely know this would not work with any kind of magsafe charging lmao. I'm fine with that, I'm very used to just using my USB anyways and I've heard magsafe charging heats the phone up a lot. I'm more concerned with magsafe accessories like a pop socket or grip loop.

I've never really used magsafe before so I'm not really sure about how strong the magnetism is, but I've got a phone case coming which has it. I'd like to glue a paper thin metal bookmark with a cute design to the back of the phone, but it would cover the magsafe ring. Does anyone know if that would prevent magsafe accessories from locking on?

Help❗️ MagSafe wallet recommendations

I recently upgraded to a new iPhone and I’m looking for some accessories.

I have been using a pop wallet to hold my cards and a grip. The pop wallet pushes the cards out just right so it doesn’t get stuck under the camera with my phone case.

But now I’m looking for a new one.
Requirements:
- slim/thin profile
- I only carry 3 total cards, and don’t need more capacity than that
- I don’t need a money clip or a stand or anything like that.
- I want to be able to attach an ‘ohsnap’ grip.
- I want to be able to take my cards out WITHOUT removing the wallet from the phone.

My basic requirement is a thin MagSafe wallet that I can attach a grip to on the other side (or car mount).

Also plus if it is available in burgundy.

Thanks!

Feature 📲 Magsafe wallet idea - 2 pieces

I have been looking at magsafe wallets but I cannot find the perfect solution for my uses.
It's easy to find a simple magsafe card holder, but how about a separate companion wallet that can attach to the card holder when a full wallet is more desirable?

My exact use case is that I am cyclist. I don't typically carry any wallet/ID/cards when cycling, but I do carry my phone. A magsafe card holder would be handy for this, but I desire to carry a full wallet other times (other ID cards, cash, business cards, etc). If the magsafe card holder would snap on the rest of my full wallet that would be very handy.

I'm hoping some entrepreneur will see this and create the product (or someone will point me in the right direction if the product does exist)
