The 360° hinge lets you switch between laptop, tent, tablet, and desk modes. Type out a document, fold it back to sketch, or set it up to share your screen during a presentation.

The included MSI Nano Pen fits into a built-in storage groove, which also charges it. A 13-second charge provides up to 45 minutes of use, making it easy to grab for a quick note, annotation, or sketch.

A closer look at the design:

The chassis combines curved edges and a diamond-cut lid pattern, with a profile that measures 0.55~ inches (13.9 mm) at its thinnest point; approximately 4.2 lbs (1.9 kg).

Discussion Called MSI about replacement 5090 in case mine dies....

Was curious.

Called and asked thw warranty department about my Gaming Trio OC 5090.

I asked if the GPU connector is burned out while using an appropriate native 3.1 atx PSU and using the PSU cable. What would happen.

Rep was pretty nice (called US) and said that as long as I bought it from a seller (like Newegg) I would send in the GPU and they would try to repair it. If not they would replace it. I specifically asked if they would replace it even as 5090s are being de-listed.

Rep said they would try to repair first then replace. He repeated it twice. Told me to make sure I registered my card on the MSI site..(which I did a year ago.)

It was a good interaction IMHO.

Anyway...I've had my 5090 for over a year and even had it spike up to 610w playing Cyberpunk 2077 with DLSS5 at 5k2k.

No issues.

It is nice to hear that it seems like MSI will try their best to repair or replace dead 5090s at least.

Troubleshooting MAG 274QPF X30MV Issues

Anyone else had/has this monitor?

I am trying to set it up. I am not really happy with it. First of, text is not sharp.

Second, what kind of crappy setting options are those. I have never ever experienced anything like it.

Like I choose a User preset, image is reasonably sharp. I change it into lets premium color preset, the image becomes really unsharp. FPS, racing presets, also do something very strange to the image. In all my monitors so far it usually affected how colors looked, etc., but it never made image look unsharp. And this is not the only settings where I encountered really unexpected issues.

Then there is backlight setting, first 3 settings don't do jack shit as far as I can see. Then the third sends into very dark image territory.

Then, when I was checking settings in windows, monitor would simply disappear. For example when I set it from 60 Hz zo 240 Hz, it simply stopped working. No signal received message. Why the fuck I bought 300 Hz monitor? To use it at 60 Hz?

Is this something firmware might fix, and it is worth a try. Or is this send it the hell back kind of situation? I did buy a returned monitor at solid discount, branded as new by amazon.

Troubleshooting MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI Driver Issues

Hello Guys,

I am making this post because I have had several issues with this motherboard paired with AMD 9800 X3D.

I bought this motherboard apart of my AMD build in November of 2025. I noticed after a little bit that I was unable to sync my Iphone 12 to any apple product as it was unable to see the Iphone. The PC just saw it as MTR USB Device. I also noticed that I was unable to install any of the related drivers through MSI center for the AMD chipset.

After a few months of messing around in my free time, I decided to contact MSI support after noticing all intel builds connected just fine but any AMD with MSI motherboards at my work had the same issue.

I noticed that my iphone 8, 13 and 15 connected just fine to my computer. It had to be something specific with the device ID related to iPhone 12s.

MSI initially replaced my CPU socket and that did not fix the issue. I then went through around 2-3 new motherboards from end of May to October. Please note that this had to be shipped to California then assessed by the technical support team and then shipped back to Illinois. (Each time I did a fresh install of windows).

I was without a computer for months because I did not have a motherboard. Eventually I got fed up with going through motherboards I ended up buying ASU TUF Gaming X870E Plus WIFI7 and i was able to install the motherboard drivers and my Iphone 12 was able to connect properly.

MSI then requested I try one more time but I had enough after 5 months of trouble shooting.

I then requested a refund as i was not willing to risk damage a PC component due to the price.

They rejected my refund stating all of a sudden, they got an iphone 12 to work on their build when they did not.

This is not only about the iphone 12 connecting properly but also about the chipset drivers downloading properly. Many times during gaming sessions my keyboard and mouse would disconnect because of this issue.

They offered further troubleshooting support but that isn't good enough at this point. I have been more than patient over the past few months waiting for RMAs with no fix.

I ended up buying a ASUS TUF Gaming X870E-PLUS WIFI7 just to see if I was able to get my iphone 12 to work and it did. It was also able to install the correct drivers right off the bat.

I am making this post to warn others who may possibly have iPhone 12s who use their computer to sync their libraries using apple software.

I went ahead and attached screen shots showing the dates of the RMA start to Finish. As Proof.

Troubleshooting MSI Thin A15 B7VE (MS-16RK) only boots into BIOS and bootloops during Windows install. Any fix?

Hi everyone, I need your help with my laptop before I give it up for dead.

Specs: MSI Thin A15 B7VE (MS-16RK motherboard), bought in January this year and used for school and light gaming.

The problem: About 2 months ago, it started bootlooping when I turned it on. At first I could get Windows to start after several attempts, but over time it got worse until it stopped booting the system altogether. Currently, with nothing connected, as soon as I power it on it goes straight into the BIOS and stays there, without restarting.

What I tried:

  • I ran MemTest86 on the RAM: no errors.
  • I prepared a USB drive with the official Windows 11 ISO. The installer starts normally, but it freezes at the Windows logo and the laptop goes into an endless loop: the MSI logo appears, it shuts off, the MSI logo appears again, and so on.
  • I entered the BIOS carefully, without touching any sensitive settings, but I couldn’t find any solution.

Technicians’ diagnoses:

  • First technician: Tried booting from USB and replaced the RAM. It didn’t fix anything, and he said he had never seen a problem like this on a machine.
  • Second technician: Said I made a mistake by accessing the BIOS and that it was now “locked like a safe without a key.” They tried to rebuild the BIOS, but since this is such a recent model, there is no tool to do it, so he concluded the laptop is beyond repair.

I don’t want to give up without asking the community. Has anyone experienced something similar, or is there any real solution, such as external BIOS reflashing or another alternative?

Thanks! 😁

Troubleshooting Pc doesnt restart after enabling secure boot pls help me

Im trying to enable security boot so i can launch faceit anticheat.

I have enabled windows 8.1 in bios. i have put boot mode to only support UEFI and not legacy. I have downloaded the default factory keys. until this i press F10 and the pc reboots. but when i go to enable secure reboot the pc shut down and when it restarts it shows "msi" then it doesn't show bios or windows. my screen is on but only displays a black screen.

i've tried changing bios settings many many times. i reset bios to default settings every time because there is no way out of the black screen. my windows is downloaded on GPT not MBR.

Is there anything else i can try please?

Motherboard: Z170A tomahawk (ms-7970)
windows 10
intel core i5-6600K cpu
gtx 1070
16go ram
128go ssd + 1To DD

i dont know that much about pc!

Edit: i updated my bios to the latest version and it still didnt work :/

Troubleshooting Can’t get into bios after changing it from csm to uefi (msi motherboard)

Thumbnail
3 Upvotes

I’m trying to turn secure boot on but I have to change it from csm to uefi, then restart my pc for it to clock it but then I can’t get back into the bios after changing it to uefi. The only way I can is taking the motherboard battery out and back but then it resets the settings back to default and csm and the loop continues. I have tried getting into bios every way possible, using cmd prompts and doing it in the settings. I also know this isn’t a hardware issue as I used to have this on my pc when it was on windows 10. Pls pls pls help I’ve been at this for 3 days will be eternally grateful

Troubleshooting CPU Installation Question

Would not having the latest Intel chipset drivers cause a motherboard to not recognize a new CPU?

Some background:

I recently bought a new CPU, Intel i9 11900K, and attempted to install it into my Z490-A Pro. I had updated the BIOS before installing the CPU, but nothing else. When I powered my PC on the CPU light on the motherboard was immediately lit up, solid not blinking, so no dice on the boot.

After re-installing the old CPU (Intel i7 10700K) my PC booted just fine, so no bent pins thankfully, and then it started installing MSi center software which I didn’t have (before starting this process, my BIOS hadn’t been updated since 2020). I noticed among the installation options “Intel Chipset Driver”, among other driver related options which I then installed.

Would that be the cause of my board not recognizing the newer CPU? Just want to cover all the bases before go through the installation process again, or I call up mister Amazon and ask for a refund.

Last note: I have a 1000W PSU, running 32GB of DDR4 and an RTX 4070 Ti, so I believe I have enough power for the new CPU.

Thanks!
