The Mark of the Beta Quest lil video teaser thing was well done and gave me a few laughs.

They launched with 40 channels as well, well done Nexon!

I'm sure problems will come up but the world feels a little more alive like how it used to.

But man i am happy and in nostalgia bliss!

I feel like the boss respawn needs to be changed, the target audience for this game is people in their mid 30s most of which don’t have time to sit in a map doing nothing for an hour in hopes a boss appears. Have like an instance based map you can only access once every 3 hours and summon a boss would be such a better healthier system that respects player time. I’m all up for grindy levelling games but this just feels egregious.

1080p things were too small to comfortably see. Enlarge feels better because actions are so close to char anyways.

Hey guys, just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for this bullshit.

Joined a KPQ party listed as "RUSH" (fast clear, no bonus/loot). Whole run was fine, but two guys in the party kept typing in Korean, and something felt super fishy about how they were acting.

I screenshotted the chat and threw it into a translator after the run... and yeah, they were literally plotting the whole time to trick us and hog the bonus stage for themselves.

Here’s what they were saying in Korean:

1. RAVENER: "We need to pretend it's a rush party"
2. RAVENER: "Just a bit" / "Before going into the bonus stage..."
3. AkiHayakawa: "Someone is here, I think they noticed lol" / "There's one person" / "MOVE"
4. RAVENER: (then switches to English): "I'm playing from Korea and my game just froze, leave the party plz"

So their plan was to bait people in with "Rush", and right before entering the bonus map, pretend the game froze due to lag from Korea so everyone would leave, letting them take all the bonus loot for themselves.

Pretty pathetic stuff.

Watch out for RAVENER and AkiHayakawa. Avoid partying with these guys if you see them around.

So far I had a blast. With the 40 channels I haven't really experienced any of the inconveniences related to training spots that founders mentioned prior to grand launch. Also no login queue or emergency maintenance.

I leveled my archer to lvl 15 so the 24h timer would start that hinders new player to trade.

After that I finished some quests and went to buy some arrows because I changed half my arrows for bow to arrows for crossbow until I noticed my mistake. Planned was the other way around.

So in the potion shop I saw the notice at the top saying to join the event in lith harbor in ch 10, 13 or 16. It was something like 2:20 am in middle Europe. Took a cap to lith harbor because I knew the event was supposed to start at 2 am. Even though I thought it would be held on the 22nd in server time not 22nd in European time.

When I arrived in lith harbor on ch10 I wasn't able to enter the event and after half a minute the notice disappeared. Nobody knew what was going on and some ppl spammed that the event was over. I decided to stick around a little longer and after some time a message from a GM popped up telling us that there was still plenty space on channel 16. So I switched channels.

Well on ch16 I was still not able to join the event. Still no more information was given. Some dude had an omok room saying that the event starts every 15mins so I waited a little longer. After some time a GM spawned and told us we should be able to enter the event after 10 seconds. But still no luck. Some ppl dissappeared and no further information given. Then some random dude started to spam that every event only had room for 30 players. If this is true this is really disappointing and 3 channels isnt nearly enough for all the players wanting to join the events.

I tried it the next round too but had no luck and then I gave up and dicided to log off. This wasn't what I expected from an GM event on an official server. I don't know if I will stay awake for the next event to happen if I'm not even able to enter it anyway.

What was your experience did you guys get to join the event? Did you get a secret scroll? Did you get something valuable out of it?

The game has been amazing but I just want to say we need chat channels ASAP!!! I know some have said we should just be able to filter the smegas, but i actually like being able to see them. The issue is I can't read my party/buddy/whisper/all chat because there's so much going on!! Inkwell please!! You gave us more channels! It's time for CHAT channels!!!

Why can't I swap the left stick and dpad controls? Why can't I navigate my inventory with the stick/dpad? I'm tempted to download the Steam version just so I could use the Steam Controller.

Do we know if stumpy still spawns here in East Rocky Montain V or is it the hidden room in Parched Land?

Be careful when using hair salon in classic maple, it doesn't work the same way as in retail maplestory. When you change your hairstyle to one in your saved salon slots it swaps out that save slot for your currently equipped hairstyle, effectively deleting the hairstyle from your salon unless you save it again. This makes it very easy to delete hairstyles you didn't intend to delete if you use a hair coupon. In retail even if you swap to a hairstyle that is saved in your salon it still keeps that hairstyle in that salon slot. Anyways be careful out there... also damn you nexon give me back my vivacious waves!!! Video attached to show how it works.

I was sad he wasn’t in EA but happy to see it was added today! Happy release day!

After seeing the server issues and constant maintenance during Early Access, I was honestly impressed by the Grand Launch.
40 channels available, no issues creating an account or connecting, and I could just log in and play.
As a system administrator, I know how much work goes into keeping things running smoothly under heavy load, so I really appreciate seeing a launch handled this well.
