What is the problem these days with people meddling in others' affairs, repeating negative gossip without even knowing the person, and simply passing judgment based on appearances?

​Hi guys! Quick question for current or former MRU students (especially international ones).
​I'm based in Brazil right now and working towards getting into the Bachelor of Nursing program at MRU. I know how competitive the grade cutoffs are for Bio 30/Chem 30, so I'm considering taking online upgrading classes through an Alberta institution (like RDP or similar) from home before applying. ​My plan is to crush Bio 30 and Chem 30 online, get my transcripts, and then apply directly to MRU for Nursing. Has anyone here done this while living overseas? Was it doable, and did MRU accept those upgrading credits without a problem? ​Any tips or experiences would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

hi friends, i applied to MRU around two weeks ago and ApplyAlberta tells me that MRU has recieved my transcript.

on the other hand, when i check the future student portal, it says that it does not have my official transcript.

ill try calling them tomorrow morning, but other than that, does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi guys, Ive been sick the past few days and I am afraid I wont be able to make up for my shift tmrw I think It'll just spread infection to my patients as Ive been sneezing and been really nauseous. Am I able to make it up for it somehow

Hey. Some background is that I’m trans. Today I went into the change room of my preferred gender and someone reported me to the staff saying that I was a pervert trying to peek at people. No matter what change room I’m in, my eyes are glued to the floor because I don’t wanna see anyone’s bits. I feel gross that I gave off that impression. I obviously will use the change room of my assigned gender next time but is this something that I’m “perverted” for doing?

I’m hoping to do a short interview with a student for one of my class projects. Looking to talk for like 5-10 minutes with someone who has gone through the process of being accused for AI usage by a professor and the steps they had to go through to prove they didn’t.
Alternately, I’d also be interested to talk to someone who did use AI and got caught. To talk about what that process was like, why they decided to use it, etc.

I want to confess to someone but in order to do that I want to drink enough lagers at west social gate to the point where I’m not stressed or scared to say it to them. Do west social gate allow more than one lager? Anyone else done it?

We have our INBU 3301 midterm next week. All I know is it's MCQ and case based short questions. People say his slides are enough. Im just curious to hear from students who took INBU 3301 with Hedi, what was the focus for his Midterm / Final? Were the questions mostly definitions and concepts straight from the slides, or more application and case scenarios?

For one of my classes I’m required to do a writing workshop so I’m doing Research Papers 101.

However I work 3 jobs plus school so I have very little free time. Do you have to be active and have your camera on in these workshops and be actively engaging? Or can you have your camera off and listen to them?

Soo just wondering why MRU's business program is so ez to get in 😭 and also how come it accepts 30-2 math, Since UofC is much more competitive and it requires applicants to have 30-1 math. Just wondering as to why if anyone knows, and if the business program at mru is worth it or not!

What GPA did you guys get into nursing with if you guys took the UEO or open studies path?

Anyone else having trouble paying for their application? I have money in my account and my credit card is perfectly fine but everytime i try apply for a program my card keeps getting declined. Is it a problem with Mirapay? Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?
