If i move up to a new rating level from 800 will i match up with 900/diamond players ?

First time playing MLB the Show, and have only been playing a month so sorry for the stupid question.. Basically should I continue to farm and complete all post seasons programs eventhough I dont need/want many of them? Im assuming at the end of the WS there will be a collection reward for some crazy good card from the WS.. Im currently 32/38, and will naturally unlock 2 more, but need to do moments for the last 4 which id rather not do unless I need too.

I struck him out once and that was possibly my greatest achievement in the game to date.🤣🤣But he was kicking my butt and hitting everything.and I had to carry my kid to bed so I just forfeit. He would have mercy ruled me anyways. Honestly so cool though. Has anyone else played real 99’s?

SDS must be happy that they can shelve 99 Yandy and Caminero from us for now...cowards.

Hello. If you’ve gotten the top 50 badge before, can you plz lmk when they give you the badge?

I’m a pretty sweaty player, hit 1000 every szn, but never even tried to push for top 50 because I just didn’t have enough time to play. Well my girl is taking a girls trip to Miami this weekend and I’ll be able to play 10 hours a day Friday-Sunday.

I’m currently rated 1280. 96 in the world last I checked. Only 150 rating away from 50th.

Do they give it after classic ends? Or before? Thinking bout making the push.

Don’t know if this has already been talked about here, but something that really annoys me, and that I would like to be changed in coming MLB the Shows, is making hitting easier for same side match ups. I hate how every single year my Diamond Dynasty team (and pretty much every online player I face) is just 1-9 switch hitters, because it is so clearly an advantage and makes hitting much easier. Of course you can say skill issue, which is fair, I’m only a decent player, but I feel that everyone in the community plays the same way I do. When I have a lefty pitcher in and I see my opponent has multiple lefty hitters I start drooling and just spam fast balls on the inside corner and they almost never get hit. There are so many classic players who I loved watching growing up whose cards I have who just sit in my inventory because I am forced to use exclusively switch hitters. Anyone else feel my pain?

As John Donaldson, I want to try him out in left field and when things get sticky throw him in as a pitcher. Is that possible to do in game on DD ranked games ?

109 legend players on the list in 2026 compared to 53 in 2025. I remember that I thought that 53 was a lot of players last year.

I then got curious to see which players appear on both lists, which obviously means, at least to me, that SDS does not value these players as much since they were left to linger two years in a row.

I made a 5’8 185 lb player and I also have a 6’2 210 player . It feels like the taller player hits bombs more . What’s your experience and/or opinion with this?

Not really excited about it with Weekend classic right around the corner. I don’t wanna be stuck playing on legend as I’m not that great at hitting. Played 2 games so far and had way too many strike outs. Luckily my opponents were all that great either even and I managed to atleast win one game.

How many of you out there play weekend classics on +900 rating? What can I expect to see online as I prepare my brain mentally lol

I'm new to the online MLB world. I've played a couple matches. I usually play through even when getting beat 10-1 but when I get an early lead other players seem to quit right away.

Is the etiquette to bail early so others get more matches? Are there penalties for quitting? (I think there should be before the 5th)

Anyone use AI to help create story lines through franchise mode? Any ideas for that?

Thinking of use ChatGPT or something else to create those story lines. Maybe random prospects fizzling out, random prospects gaining steam (maybe just % chance wheels or something). Story lines for players throughout the offseason like demanding a trade, got way better vs lefties, etc…just curious to hear your thoughts

I will make a comment posting the video, I had to put it in a frame by frame. I was rewatching it, and now I just think I got on base here through a bad call. I also guess if the AI team doesn't challenge, they won't show a cutscene or they had no option to challenge.
