There's a lot of foundation already set by Brand New Day for a very deep connection Jean and Scott will share in the X-Men movie.

Jean was abandoned and orphaned by her parents, her older sister Sara got murdered and she was experimented on by the DODC.

If they stick to Scott's OG comic origin, he's also going to be orphaned by his dead parents, his younger brother, Alex, will either be "murdered" after the plane crash or taken away from him through the foster system and he will likely be experimented on by Nathaniel Millbury.

And maybe Scott committed some major damage when his powers first were triggered that took the lives of many people due to the rage of losing his brother Alex and he threatened to go on a vengeful pursuit to finding his brother but Charles appealed to his humanity and showed him a better path.

This could be something both Jean and Scott can relate to with each other, and what brings them together as a couple. The trauma bonding of having a shitty life that mirrors each other.

This means since Captain America: Brave New World, they have been utilizing Adamantium now. What a coincidence as we get closer to the Mutant saga.

I think we got a lot of wasted projects in the mcu surrounding characters nobody really knows or cares about. I think it was a mistake waiting this long to introduce the mutants into the MCU. Fox X men has had like 3 or 4 "send offs". I don't think they really needed any more. If it was up to me, I would have introduced the x men (with the current cast) in 2022/2023 around the time Ms. Marvel released. Kamala khan is a great character and her show would be the perfect way to setup the x men, given it teases her being a mutant.

I’d love to see Polaris introduced in the MCU, especially alongside Jean Grey and Storm. Although I know we probably won’t get her anytime soon, here are my top four choices for Lorna Dane.

Lorna generally seems to be portrayed as slightly younger than Jean in the comics but I wanted to cover a range of ages (20–28) with actresses that could possibly play younger or older depending on how the MCU approaches her character and relationships.

I’ve also included a little bonus fancast for Magneto. Lee Pace has been my top choice for Erik for a while now, and I’d love to see him portray Lorna’s father alongside any of these actresses.

Mystique Gives birth to night crawler and it chased out of town as a witch using her powers to escape and floats Kurt down river Moses style
Kurt is found by a gypsy family in Germany

Act 2

Rogue was raised on a commune by a bunch of hippies, taking drugs and psychedelics who didn’t really pay attention to her as a child one night her mother vanished

The Gypsy family raises Kurt him in the circus
Kurt and his stepbrother make an oath by the water
Kurt’s amazing performance in the circus and freak sideshow.
Meet lots of unique characters, talents, and mutants. People with deformities make him feel at home, and he finally feels accepted.

Kurt befriends a pirate wants to be a sword fighter in the circus but
His adopted mother forces him to learn the trapeze for discipline
Kurt catches his sister falling during a trapeze performance, and that is what manifest his teleportation abilities

Towns folk in Mississippi blamed her father and a mob came for rogue when she grabbed a man to stop him from hurting her father the man collapsed and the mob turned and came after rogue chasing her into the woods
rescued the next day at a gas station by … mystique

Kurt hears tale of a shape, shifting woman and sees a picture of her as she used to work for the circus with another fellow mutant.

Rogue and mystique stay in a hotel
The two bond and Mystique feels bad for rogue orphaning her and giving her room and board and rouge begins working for mystique and learning her ways
World comes to find out that mystique is part of a mutant gang called the brotherhood of mutants.
It is not until then that mystique reveals her powers to rogue. And tells her she is unique and they need her abilities to help protect mutants from the humans

Act 3
Mystique and magneto become romantically involved
Mystique convinces rogue that her first mission for acceptance into the mutant gang is to steal captain marvels powers
Which she does killing her
This makes rogue extremely guilty and she can not sleep at night
Rogue also overhears mystique arguing with other brotherhood members about not letting rogue know some of the darker choices they make to save mutant kind
“She is a child she won’t understand”
Mystique overwhelmed runs to magneto for comfort unlocking an argument and exposing both of their demonds
Rouge runs away

Rogue escapes the pursuit of the brotherhood ducking into a church for shelter from a storm and finds Kurt Vagner
After acceptance of one another rogue, overcome her fear, and Kurt tells her he is headed to a place he heard of, a school where mutants can seek refuge safely

They journey together to Xavier mansion
And end scene

It's officially been two months since we got the news Inde Navarrette will be playing Rogue, and even still, people are calling it a "miscast" and saying stuff like "Hope she gets fired / hope she gets recast" stuff like that and people need to get a grip

You literally cannot this is a miscast until you've seen her in the role. You're literally judging it on her looks, which can easily be changed for the film as well. And if you read her recent interviews, she is very clearly passionate about it, and wants to do it right. So I really think people, even those who don't love the casting, should give the benefit of the doubt before jumping into calling it a "miscast"

First of all, I don't think the institute has even been made yet. I feel like if it was Xavier would've taken Jean before the events of Brand New Day.

We know Jean is in secret wars, possibly doomsday. I think in secret wars, Xavier is dying and gives Jean the memories of the past fox x-men universe that is now destroyed. Jean realising what mutant kind could be seeks out Xavier in her own universe and shows him these memories. Together they go and find other mutants throughout the world.

First movie the institute is small operating more like a shelter and less like a school. They don't want this institute secret getting out so for now they only target high profile mutants who are more irresponsible with their powers or have struggles controlling them.

This includes

Cyclops who just got out of juvie

Street thief Storm

Ex-terrorist Rogue.

Etc.

They all adopt codenames so it mskes it harder for government to track them.

Over the franchise it builds more into a school for young mutants to learn and train their powers.

If rumors are true that the first movie would introduce Nightcrawler and Gambit, I have a stronger feeling they’ll try to adapt the Mutant Massacre and the Marauders. (The 2031 year is just hypothetical).

I don’t know how they’ll do it but I would love to see some of these characters in-universe soon. Not saying they should all just be rounded up and thrown in the danger room or even meet the Professor at all yet but teasing them and their abilities on the side before a massive threat to mutantkind (ie. Apocalypse, Bastion) forces them to all join forces would be interesting.

I’d like to see Bastion since we haven’t seen him adapted in any of the live action films yet. Operation: Zero Tolerance could definitely work after the events of BND, Secret Wars and the X1.

Hank McCoy was one of the core founding X-Men and one of Xavier's first students along with Scott, Jean, Warren and Bobby in the comics.

And in the comics he's around 18 years old when he first joins Xavier's school.

But if rumors were true and Marvel was looking at Charles Melton (who reportedly turned down the role for Beast) then that means Hank is likely going to be older than we expect right?

Charles Melton is already 36 years old. Surely he can't play a teenager lol. He can't even play a convincing early 20 something year old.

With Jean, Scott, Ororo, Rogue and Warren's castings so far, it looks like they're leaning for a late teens and early 20s X-Men.

Could they be looking at a more professor type role for Beast in the reboot than a student?

Interesting to consider.

Like do you believe it will be that Xavier has already had the school open for years or is in the process of building it and Jean, Scott, Storm, Rogue and Emma Frost will be the first students living there?

I love Inde Navarrette but i've travelled in the future and i saw the 2028 X-Men movie and the rest of the casts were okay but while Inde's performance was alright it got Rogue WRONG.

Devon Bostick is known for portaying comedic drama roles and for us he’s Rodrick Heffley or Jasper Jordan. But hear me out, if he’d dyed his hair to that sandy wheat blonde/brunette hair, put himself to gym as common superhero actor and really did auditioned for X-men.
I mean it’s just my own fancast. He’s such a good actor and person. Canadian. And he’s around 34-35 I think.
