PROMO CODE THREAD - Post your promo codes here, one per account.
Looks like we need another code thread.
If you’re here looking for a code, it doesn’t matter which code you choose, you will only get the sign up bonus for the city you are applying for.
So if someone posts a code that says $2,000 sign up San Francisco, but you’re going to drive in Denver, you will not get that $2000. You will get whatever sign up bonus is in Denver. Don’t let anyone fool you into using their code for their bonus.
If you post more than one comment with your codes we will ban you. Don’t get greedy.

Lyft shame on you!!
The audacity that is lyft. Rake in billions in profits on the back of drivers. This is $0.33 cents per mile before factoring in the drivers expenses(gas, wear n tear, labor, insurance, 30%taxes)...absolutely insulting!!!

WTF? Why did driver obey wrong Lyft GPS and put us in danger?
Two minutes into my ride on one of the busiest and most dangerous roads in NJ, the driver made an illegal u-turn, then stopped in the right lane when I asked what she was doing.
She pointed to her GPS, which had the address I was going to, but the visual map had her routed back to my house. She said I need to change the app to the right address. It was correct on my end. I showed her the route. I also showed her she had the same address in her phone, but the route was wrong. She still pointed and said he had to follow it. She did not speak much English and was texting this through a translation app (in traffic)
We sat in traffic for 15 minutes and she brought me home because she refused to disobey the app against all evidence. She was also done with the "loco" lady yelling at her.
I was pissed that she would follow an app to the point of putting us in danger and taking me home instead of to the address written on my phone and hers.
Lyft said they don't punish drivers for not following GPS. Is that true? She followed it like it was a god.
Tl/Dr: Driver put us in danger making illegal u turn and stopping in the road, the drove me home instead of too my destination due to an error in the Lyft GPS routing. Does Lyft punish drivers for not following GPS route even if it is wrong?

Lyft HQ Question Lyft vs uber drivers
Hello people
I recently posted asking about feedback of Lyft drivers about the app. I received many comments listing map issues, payment issues, taxes etc.
Since I’m soon gonna be behind the algorithm of driver earnings, I’ll also like to know or receive feedback from you guys on how any other driver app like hopp or uber are better or worse than Lyft?
I’m really trying to help you guys here, any feedback is appreciated.

Driver Question Payment Issue /Advice (Canadain Driver)
Question for Canadain Lyft Drivers
I've been having an ongoing problem getting payments sent to my bank account. Lyft Support has been no help. I cannot seem to do Express Pay because my Royal Bank debit card doesn't have a CVV code. And my Visa Debit can't accept payments - it can only be used for online transactions. I've tried setting up weekly pay outs but for some reason they don't work. The funds just end up accumulating in my Lyft Driver account. I have all the information for my account entered in correctly so I'm not sure if it is a bank issue or Lyft ( I've gone to Royal Bank and they said the information is correct and entered on correctly). Any idea why payment won't work with RBC? Any suggestions for a workaround to get payments into my bank account?
( I also do Uber and have all my payments go to my Uber Pro account, no issues).

Passenger Question Got picked up in a hoopty
This happened months ago here in Ohio, but I still think about it till this day. I called a Lyft, I don’t use it often, but I’m 5 stars and I always tip well. The picture showed me a newer model, but instead it was an older, shit box with no AC! It was hot that day so he had the windows down, but he did in fact get me to my destination safe. I didn’t complain and instead I gave him a positive review because you never know what a person is going through!
How is the driver getting away with driving the older model but a different; much older vehicle?
Anybody in Marin have access to Lyft Teen?
Supposedly San Rafael has access, but I'm not seeing it.

Who else thinks it would be cool to be able to exchange shop points for rides on the platform?
I feel like it would be an easy thing to program and it would be nice to get a cheap ride to a bar on my nights off.

These passengers are out of control!!!!
I live in New Orleans, which allows 5 miles over the speed limit. I was doing 5 miles over the speed limit and got flagged for “driving too fast” so I started doing the speed limit, and guess what folks. Now I’ve been flagged for “driving too slow” between Uber and Lyft, they got some deactivating to do of these accounts where they make false reports, or report bullshit just to get a free ride. I know that’s been a problem lately. You’re messing with our livelihoods!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Passenger Question Driver doesn’t respond
Twice now I’ve had drivers accept the ride, and then not move in my direction. I’ve called and sent texts both times and they don’t answer those. I canceled both and got hit with a service fee to compensate the driver for their inconvenience. Is this a scam? They were definitely not coming my way and I wonder if they ever intended to. I complained to Lyft but was told I cancelled 30 seconds after the driver accepted, which is absolutely not true. Guess I’m an Uber client now.

Passenger Question Booked a Lyft and saw a “30 minutes included then $X/min” under the cost…but I cannot find anyone talking about this or on their help pages
Trying to book a Lyft in a month to go from an airport to a hotel. We noticed this line under the cost “first 30 minutes included, then $0.38/min”. We can’t figure out if that’s a wait time charge, or if they’ve now started charging if rides go too long.
I’ve scoured their help pages, forums, here, and can’t find anyone talking about this. Is this new? What does it actually mean?

Lyft’s Insurance Trying to Pull A Quick One
Over the summer I had my first run in with their annoying support. I cancelled a no show pick up, person was still working and I didn’t feel like waiting. I back out of the parking space and bumped in to someone’s front driver side bumper. Small dent nothing else nothing crazy. Immediately get out check what happened and make sure the other driver was ok. He was fine and obviously pissed but after a minute and once he realized I wasn’t gunna be a dick and just exchange info and take care of it he was cool.
So after I initially checked with him I go back to my car to get my phone. Realized I was still logged in to app. I log off once I grabbed phone. Other driver luckily snapped pic of my car for his records as I was grabbing my phone. Later on Lyft’s insurance (Mobility) had taken care of the other driver since of course I was still logged in when the accident happened so he was covered. But right after the other guy had dropped his car off for repair and going to get the rental car, the rental place said the insurance company reversed their decision and put a stop on everything.
So he reached out to me to update me this had happened and I of course reached out myself to Lyft and Mobility. What happened was the claim was approved and the person was being covered, taken care of….then over the weekend well the adjuster person handling the claim was off, someone else reviewed the case. They looked at my logs and tried to claim I wasn’t logged in to the app when I hit his car and therefore couldn’t use them to cover his damage. I was able to speak with the person who was handling the claim and they themselves acted like they didn’t know why it was reversed (whether she was being honest I’ll never know or care). I told her I had further proof I was still logged in, and would provide it. Sent them the picture the guy took of my car since it showed me grabbing my phone out of the car, you can see the app still pulled up and logged on at the very time I said the accident occurred. Once I got that sent to them they changed their tune real quick and went back to covering the guy’s damage and his rental.
Moral of this story, once again as well all know, insurance companies suck, their only job his to find every possible way to not pay out, and unless you had a bullet proof piece of evidence your likely to get left holding the bill.

Lyft deactivated me for something I did not do
So I recently discovered that I have been permanently deactivated on Lyft for alleged unsafe driving (swerving in and out of lanes). I absolutely did not so that at any given time during any given ride. Of course they claim they can’t tell you who reported you so I don’t even know which day they are referring to. I am now wishing I had a dash cam to prove that this is an absolutely false allegation. It is total BS. I actually just received several compliments from passengers for fantastic safe rides. I have a 5.0 rating and almost 900 rides in 1.5 years of doing Lyft.
I don’t understand how I can fight this if they can’t tell me who reported me. I just wrote them back an appealed it stating that this is absolutely false.
Advice???
