Many years ago there was a time when I attended LAN parties and I remember those fondly. Games are definitely meant to be played with other people. Sure, there are some single player pearls out there, but the true fun comes from sharing these moments with your friends!

My steam library consists of quite a lithany of games, so I'll just post what can be played together:

1. 7 Days to Die. I haven't played that one in a while and I'm willing to give it another shot, but with another person.
   
2. Across the Obelisk. A cool co-op card game, but it requires a lot of time for a single run.
   
3. Age of Wonders 4. Great strategy game, but like the predecessor, requires a lot of time.
   
4. Ark: Survival Evolved. Like no 1, definitely not playing solo anymore.
   
5. Back 4 Blood. Just some quick fun every now and then.
   
6. Baldur's Gate 3. I have another person willing to play with me, but we're trying to gather a full squad of 4 people. One of the best co-op games out there, can be played seriously, can just have tons of fun.
   
7. Blood Bowl 2. A silly little game where we can bash our heads (literally and figuratively) trying to score touchdowns in Warhammer universe.
   
8. Dead Space 3. Haven't played it in a while, never played it co-op. Willing to give it a go!
   
9. Divinity Original Sin 2. Like BG3, though I played it many, many times before. Slightly less inclined.
   
10. Helldivers 2. I'm on a hiatus, but with good company I could play it again.
    
11. LotR: Return to Moria. I only scratched the surface, but like no 10, with good company, heck yeah.
    
12. Magicka. It's been a while since I've touched it, but never played it in co-op. Fun game at times!
    
13. Project Zomboid. Love and hate relationship with this game, but if somebody wants to, I can do it again.
    
14. PUBG. I can probably play a few games, though I'm not big on pvp games. If you're fun to play with, though, I don't mind dying some more.
    
15. Returnal. Ooooh, I love that game. I tried playing it co-op for some time, but never found anyone.
    
16. Riftbreaker. Great game to just relax and shoot a lot of stuff.
    
17. Sacred Gold. Anybody still plays it? I wouldn't mind going again!
    
18. Slay the Spire 2. Especially with the ARAM mod for some fun chaos.
    
19. Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Great for some D&D hunger.
    
20. Total War: Warhammer. Though it is a massive time-sink and would need to be played over the course of several days, I love the game.

Besides games, I like lists. Can you tell? Yeah, you're a smart one. I also love science, astronomy, astrophysics and the philosophy of reality. Sometimes I'm a dreamer, sometimes really down to earth. I'm usually very talkative, but sometimes I like to be quiet and just focus on a game. Overall, I'm very chill and an owner of 2 beautiful cats and one majestic almost-three-legged dog. Can share pictures!

I want to create a kind of community where you eventually recognize usernames, notice when someone hasn’t been around for a few days, remember what someone told you last week,
develop inside jokes, and actually have the chance to form friendships. You don’t need to share one particular fandom or hobby to belong here. You don’t need to be amazing at starting conversations.

Were a small group of friends from Switzerland who rented a Nitrado PVE server to play trough the story maps and beat all the new bosses. The new base tier for Nitrado servers is now 20 Slots for some reason, so I thought we should get some more players. We intend to either play as a single large tribe split into smaller groups or as a set of smaller allied tribes. One of my friends plays the game for the first time and I am veteran on ASE but I only recently got a PC that can run ASA. We will start on the island and go trough the maps in chronological order. I installed a few QQL mods like adjusting The Island’s level curves and some construction mods. But I want to keep it close to vanilla to get the og Ark experience. You can also make suggestions settings and mod wise. Hey everyone!

I'm 22M, originally from South Africa, and I moved to the United States earlier this year. I'm currently living in Pennsylvania (EST), and I've been trying to build a proper gaming/social circle here in North America since most of my old friends were back on European servers.

I'm making this post because, quite frankly, I'm getting really discouraged by how difficult it seems to find people who genuinely want to become friends.

I'm not looking for another Discord username to add to a growing list of people I'll never actually speak to. I'm looking for a genuine friend.

A little rant, because I'm honestly frustrated.

I've reached out to so many people over the past few months. People who make posts saying they're lonely, want genuine friendships, need gaming buddies, want someone to hang out with regularly, etc.

And then what happens?

We exchange a few messages, maybe play one game together, and then... absolutely nothing.

Some people never respond again. Others are seemingly never available. Some will happily play if I ask them, but wouldn't dream of reaching out themselves. And others just sit on my friends list indefinitely without ever making an effort.

I'm genuinely tired of it.

I don't want to feel like I'm begging someone to be my friend.

I don't want to constantly be the person who sends the first message, asks if someone wants to play, tries to arrange something, and keeps the entire friendship alive.

I want someone who actually gives a damn. Someone who might randomly message me and say, "Hey, wanna play something?" or "You around tonight?" Someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with me and wants to hang out because they want to, not because I keep asking.

I understand that everyone has their own lives. People work, study, have responsibilities, need time alone, and aren't available 24/7. That's completely normal, and I'm not expecting constant attention or immediate replies.

All I'm asking for is mutual effort.

If I'm interested in becoming your friend, I'll make time for you, reach out, and put in effort. I'd just really like that to be reciprocated.

Maybe I've just been unlucky, but moving to a new country and trying to rebuild a social circle from scratch has been a lot harder than I expected. At this point, I've genuinely started wondering whether I'll ever manage to make a proper, lasting friendship here in the US. Some days I feel like giving up on looking altogether.

But I'm giving it another shot because I'd really love to find someone I click with.

I'm primarily a PC gamer, and I enjoy both competitive games and more relaxed co-op experiences.

My main games and interests include:

• League of Legends — Probably my main game overall. I mostly play mid and enjoy Summoner's Rift normals, ranked, and Arena. I used to play around Emerald on EUW before moving to NA. I'm not really an ARAM person.
• Deadlock — I'm REALLY interested in getting into this game, but I'm still extremely new. I'd absolutely love to find someone to learn with, or someone experienced who doesn't mind playing with a beginner!
• Dead by Daylight — Another game I've played quite a bit and enjoy.
• The Outlast Trials — Love this kind of co-op horror.
• R.E.P.O. — Definitely interested in playing more.
• Phasmophobia — Always down for some ghost hunting.
• Minecraft — Especially fun with someone to regularly build and explore with.
• Valorant — I enjoy competitive shooters too.

I'm also interested in survival games, horror games, competitive multiplayer games, and generally anything that's enjoyable with good company.

I don't expect us to play every single game on this list. Even having two or three games in common is great if we actually get along!

And honestly, I'm happy just hanging out in Discord sometimes, chatting, watching something together, or doing our own things while talking. Not every interaction needs to revolve around a game.

The kind of friendship I'm looking for:

Ideally, I'd love to meet someone who:

• Is male, around 20–25 years old, and living in North America.
• Is preferably in EST or CST, although other North American timezones are fine if our schedules overlap.
• Plays on PC.
• Is comfortable with Discord and voice chat.
• Actually wants a long-term, genuine friendship, not just someone to fill a lobby for an evening.
• Is friendly, chill, relatively mature, and non-toxic.
• Can joke around, have fun, and not take everything ridiculously seriously.
• Doesn't mind occasionally being the one to initiate a conversation or invite someone to play.
• Has interests and a life outside gaming too. I'd love to get to know the actual person behind the username.
• Is interested in a strictly platonic friendship. I'm not looking for flirting, sexual conversations, NSFW interactions, or anything of that nature.

As far as personality goes, I get along best with fairly laid-back, down-to-earth people. I'm not particularly progressive politically, so I'd prefer someone who is comfortable with that and isn't looking to turn every conversation into a political argument. We don't have to agree on absolutely everything.

I'm also not looking for somebody who expects me to be available every waking moment. I value personal space and independence, and I'd give you the same respect.

I just want something that feels natural and mutual.

A little more about me:

Besides gaming, I'm an accounting graduate and currently working toward building my career here in the US. Moving internationally has been a pretty major life change, so I've been spending a lot of time getting settled and figuring things out.

I'm fairly easygoing, enjoy having a laugh, and can be quite talkative once I'm comfortable with someone. I enjoy competitive games, but I also like just messing around and having fun.

I'd consider myself someone who puts genuine effort into friendships. If we get along, I'll absolutely message you, invite you to games, ask how you're doing, and make time to hang out.

I don't expect a friendship to develop overnight. Obviously, we need to see whether we click first, and that's completely fine.

Hi, I'm a 20F from France and I'm pretty exited about MW4 coming out soon - only downside is I'm not very good nor experienced with the game... I've only ever had MW2 and didn't play much since I didn't pay for PS+. Im really enthusiastic about the lore that we're getting on campaign mode but I'm also ready to pay for PS+ if I get to make new friends on multi! HMU if interested 😛

Being an 'elder millennial' it's difficult to find gamers about my age who play fairly consistently in the evening and weekends. I play mostly horror games (all year round), indie (Invokyr, REPO, Escape the Backrooms), and bigger titles (Halloween the Game, DBD, L4D, WWZ, etc.). I'm also open to non horror games! I really enjoyed Peak and RV There Yet (off the top of my head).

It would be awesome to connect with people who are like minded and about the same age who enjoy these kinds of games and stick with them. I've met some great people so far, but find they like to game hop (I.e. my DBD group recently all moved on to other games, and other friends won't play a game more than once or twice).

About me: I'm married with 3 cats, have a busy full time day job and run my own business. I'm super into fitness, reading, all things horror related (books, movies, the paranormal - which I approach as a skeptic but I have done paranormal investigations in the past).

I am friendly and outgoing and will chat outside of games, it's nice to get to know each other. I'm one of those people who will remember things we chatted about or shared and will follow up with you. I also appreciate when the other side is the same!
