Question How bad is the generative AI integration?
I have been saving up for years to buy Logic, and I am finally able to do so. As I was getting ready to buy it, however, I noticed the advertisements for "AI assisted tools." Now, of course I understand that Logic has always used AI assisted tools like the drum tracks, but I feel like that definition has changed a lot the past few years and it makes me wary when a company like Apple advertises it. There is a big difference between "drum tracks that are always the same to choose from and can be slightly tweaked" (which, I never like to use in my songwriting anyway because even that feels a bit wrong to me personally) and "Logic Pro, write me a chord sequence." I am vehemently against the use of generative AI, especially in music, and I don't want to have to work around an "imagine ✨" button.
How bad is the amount of generative AI assistance in Logic Pro, do you think it will continue to get worse, and is it still worth it to get the DAW in my case? I don't want to waste my money on something that is going to turn to shit a few years later, as generative AI seems to make things do so often. Thanks.
