Question / Discussion Looking for Tips and Tricks
Hey all,
This is my first mech (without) instructions and I would love some feedback, all kinds I'm not soft lol, and any tips or tricks would be so very appreciated.
I'm limited to what I have in my Rebricable collection, SuperDaddio, is my username if you want to see the sets I have.
My main issues, as I'm sure the master builders here will see right away, is that my "hips" aren't strong enough at all to hold the weight from the upper body and I don't even have the arms on it yet. Or even built for that matter lol, plus I need to figure out how to attach them.
The last pic in the series is some ideas I have. I'm going to use the glass canopy as the new front of the mech, I'm going to try to make the black circlular piece as the bottom of the other leg, the black and red wing shaped things I was thinking of using as wings, but I think it'll be way to heavy, so maybe I'll use them as the other leg.
I'm also going to add braces from the center of the mech's "skirt" and have them angle down to give the legs another anchor point to try and strengthen them so they won't bend in, using technic pieces.
So, any help at all would be immensely grateful. I might have bit a bit more off than I can chew with this one, especially as my first lol.
Thank you Master Builders foe your time.

MOC 2 new mechs by Brassbound: 1919 rules (but for a futuristic setting)
Two brassbounders have joined the Direwolf Security Group! Orienting from the 1st picture, the left one is the Paladin, the right one is the TItan:
MBM Mk. XI "Paladin":
The newest generation of the combat mechs used by the DSG, this giant provides heavy fire with his 14.5x114mm rounds, deployed from the heavy weapon systems on both arms.
MBM Mk. II "Titan":
The second ever brassbounder made by the DSG, it's now rarely seen on the battlefield due to its age. But when it does come to play? All hell breaks loose!

MOC Full Mech - Dual Breaker ✅
Hello Friends 🙌🏻 This is my first mech model using my Mech Frame, featuring a dominant blue color. This mech is a close-combat fighter who utilizes his strong, bulky physique and Wrist Gun to fight and destroy dangerous enemies.
I was planning on releasing it on Rebricable, so hopefully many people like it, hoho 👐🏻
The inspiration for this mech comes from Blue Destiny Unit 2 (RX-79BD-2), the Gundam Series with plenty of modifications 🛠️

MOC MiniFigMechs
I was going through old photos I found and I came across these I built some time ago. I don't know anyone really who'd be excited to see them so I thought I'd post them here

MOC Update
Hello again, everyone. After a lot of struggle, I finally managed to integrate this stud shooter into the torso. It has ended up looking much more boxy, though. I’m thinking of making the pelvis a bit larger—what do you think?

MOC - Instructions Available Hands on with the 2nd Assault Regiment Expansion for Brassbound 1919
Gaul is the name of the French faction from Brassbound 1919. One thing I wanted to do was try to get the uniform color as close as possible to the one worn by the French Army - a color called Horizon Blue. Lego has a color that's very close called Sand Blue. However you cannot get many parts in this color.
This is another major selling point to Brick With - I can now design Gaulish soldiers wearing period-appropriate uniforms!
You may also notice the two guys in Blue. That's the Hero Unit, Capt Napoleon Blownapart III. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree so he refuses to wear the more muted colors of his countrymen. Instead he wears the bright blue jacket and red pants the Gauls stopped wearing in early 1915. He wears it for the exact reason why it was abandoned; high visibility! He wants to be visible to his troops.

MOC Hi everyone, I have a question. I want to build a cannon that uses a stud shooter, but I’m not sure how to go about it—maybe like a heavy machine gun, or a pistol-style weapon like the one Kopaka had in 2016, or perhaps even mounted directly onto the chest

MOC Blacktron 2 SPYDER
Blacktron 2 SPYDER
A new mobile assault automation by Blacktron Future Generation. Its arachnid form factor allows maneuverability like no other and can equip various types of weaponry on its two hard points. This particular unit is equipped with a pulse cannon and rocket pod.
Just another robotic unit to bolster the Blacktron 2 forces.
This was a fun build and just in time for Spooky month or #spooktober
I initially bought several of these 3 in 1 Creator set 31159 mainly as a parts pack (those 1x1 with bar) and they were on clearance so I bought quite a few and an idea struck me to convert it into an assault robot.
Well at any rate, thanks for viewing! 😃

MOC First time making a mech, how did I do?
Sorry if the lighting and shots are poor - this is my first attempt at a large scale mech. It's only the initial version so I do intend to add arms and turn what is currently the arm cannons into shoulder-mounted cannons.
I'm only 16, but I've been building with lego my whole life, and so far I'd call this my masterpiece. Anyway, how did I do?
The fourth slide shows the light brick I implemented.

MOC Little cube buddies
Tried a technique of making different sized cubes using (6) plates (at 6x8, 4x4, and 3x3 sizes) and (8) 1x1 bricks w/ studs on three sides at the corners--was surprisingly stable once all together. Decided to turn them into robots (of course), and ended up with these three characters--the big one as the mom or dad, and then the two kid siblings.
