I had Claude take a pass at a brick design, referencing the other repos and improving. Claude thinks it would be possible to design a custom board and stuff in a brick. Built a web emulator too. This makes it pretty clear how it would be achievable.

When box first opened, both bricks would light up. But after building sets and installing the bricks, one of them doesnt turn on, light up etc. Charged for over 5hrs & still nothing. Other brick working perfectly. I downloaded the app and it shows bith bricks are up to date & charging. Any advice?

I've seen a SMART Brick/ SMART Play LEGO Store display for sale — even if it shouldn't be to the public. I'd be interested if they've used a real Smart Brick. If it is a real one, it's at least modified to be powered permanently. Maybe it also has some specialised demo firmware. But it could also just be a dead brick on a slider and there's completely custom electronics just simulate SMART Brick behaviour.

Had anyone of you interacted with such a store display and what are your thoughts on this?

Has anyone else analyzed the internals of this or other store displays?

Not looking for the press release bullet point stuff. I'm looking for the descriptions for how the communication system works, what data is contained in the the smart tags, encryption, potential expandability, BLE, reversing, etc.

If the system was fully open, my first proof of concept project would be an internal log for battle wins and losses for each Pokémon. I know that sounds lame but it would introduce me to all the various systems.

I have managed to collect as many of the Smart Play tags as possible. Some are already available online but I have acquired several that don't seem to have been shared anywhere.

Only 6 are now missing from my database:
Force Training Seesaw, Docking Ring, Throne Chair, Turbo Laser Cannon, A-Wing and Yoda's Cauldron.

If anyone has the rest please let me know if you can share them.

edit 2: Turns out 9 were missing as Greedo was just a mislabelled duplicate of Luke and I forgot the seesaw when counting.

edit 3: Through the amazing power of buying more LEGO, i have updated the database to include Greedo, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Beverage DIspenser from set 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina :)

While doing some LEGO Smart Play experiments with the upcoming 11374 arcade pinball machine, I scored that dream run through the bridge: thought I’d better document that it can happen.

In the mean time, I’m experimenting with sound designs using existing Star Wars Smart Tags.
Here I am using the Light Saber tag to signify a strike on the asteroid, while I have adapted the spinner to engage with a Smart Brick /xwing tag - the spinner activates/deactivates the bell. There are a couple of minifigures underneath to give voices to the astronaut and space baby.
*the pinball set comes with NO smart bricks and NO smart tags

Experiments are still underway…can I fit 4 bricks in?
Set provided by the LEGO group (I bought the Star Wars smart play sets myself) All opinions are my own.
