One of these is not like the other ...

Checked the brake to change the rotor (and pads) and realised that I put one of the brake pads in the wrong way.

(It's my own bike, which has only been ridden like this to and from the workshop. The brakes broke and leaked fluid on the pads and rotors. I repaired the brake itself while still waiting on new pads and rotors and put it together like this to ride home. Disappointed in myself, but quite glad that happend now before I had to change everything anyways.)

Cranks seized up after only 1yr/1000 miles ish, pulled the BB to find out the race had auto-uninstalled itself on the drive side.

Enough stopping power to rip the adapters right off the fork.

broke while braking. it was bending when braking a lot, I know something was wrong but there were no cracks in welds so I just kept riding

Legit looked like something from Stranger Things. The ammonia smell was intense and there at least 8oz of sealant in the bottom.

The wire only came off during disassembly

HS11 brakes. Pre-bled all in one kit was installed as-is, no hose cutting or bleeding. It's leaking past the seals which is pretty disappointing. For now I'm wiping it, advancing the grub screw, and I'm Just Riding Along™️ but at some point I'd have to reconnect the older HS11 lever that's still mounted, just swung to the side (metal lever in the background). It's the rear brake so it's not that critical. I'll give the warranty a try.

He's been commuting on this bike in the salty sea air going on 10 years now. It finally gave up. Luckily only his wallet was injured!

picked up a vintage mtb tange frame but the bb shells a bit rusted. soaked and brushed it wirh evaporust and some old toothbrush and the threads were fine. just this black bits i couldn’t brush. Is it deep level corossion or just clean and soak and scrape it more?

I already have anti seize and boeshield t9 to seal the insides of the whole frame.
