Haven't lost a game up to this point with 6 in a row. But they're playing a juggernaut called the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks who are looking to repeat. This team won it all in 2024 and it's a rematch of that year

Prior to this, there was a strong resistance to Badam being split up with reasons ranging from they're too iconic together to it wouldn't be as entertaining.

Then season 18 happened and with Adam's sixth win in a row, and half those wins being Badam wins, people were getting a little bit tired of his expertise and thought a solution would be to split Badam up. That's exactly what happened in season 19.

Although there was still some hesitancy among diehard Badam fans even up to the first episode of Japanorama being released, saying the dynamic was totally off and the season would suck because of it.

Now that the full season is over, how do we feel about Ben and Adam being separated? I had been advocating for it and was quite happy with the result. I think Adam and Tom had a different type of synergy that was interesting to see, and Sam and Ben together is really fun.

Additional question, would you be okay with Badam still being broken up for the next couple seasons, or do you want them back together right away?

hello!! i've been a fan since tag across europe, and after a few seasons that didn't click with me as much, but japanorama got me excited about the show again.

the new teams, fun challenges, and actually having room to recover from a terrible start were some of the biggest things for me. also fishing. extremely important. we're so unbelievably back

so i made a video about what had stopped working for me and why this season won me back. it's very biased, but i love this show and wanted to put my thoughts into something :)

did japanorama feel like a return to form for anyone else, or have you been enjoying the recent seasons just as much? curious how other people felt!!

Now that Japanorama is done, we know what Season 20 will be: Hide and Seek in Italy. Shame that it will not be the team-based "Redemption" edition featuring past losers that I have been imagining, but speaking of redemption, I know what Season 21 should be:

Capture the Flag in Singapore.

Singapore has one of the most extensive transit systems in the world. And in a game as reliant on transit and mobility as Jet Lag usually is, this is the perfect place to play it in.

Better yet, get Joseph from Real Life Lore back as the guest. Remember, his and Sam's run in Circumnavigation ended when they ran out of money in Singapore. Here is his ultimate chance at redemption, but I will give it a twist:

His partner in this new game will not be Sam. No, it will be Ben. Yes, you heard it: for the first time ever (excluding temporary pairings in individual seasons), Sam and Adam are on the same team.

You would need to allow driving and flying, but the shape of the country is too unique not to explore.

The line is the Abukuma Express Line, a third sector railway which runs between Fukushima and Tsukinoki. The picture of the train is from Wikipedia, I forgot to take a picture of my train (it had a yellow front) but it's the same EMU that JR use in the area.

I don't think the guys missed much, the scenery is pleasant but it's much the same as the rest of that part of Tohoku. Despite the "Express" name, it's not a fast line and there are a lot of stops, taking over an hour from the middle of nowhere south of Sendai to Fukushima.

I also understand how they missed it, the platform is way off to the side of Fukushima station and basically separate from the JR section. The bridge they saw the train leave from is a good few minutes walk away.

I even camped there for the night. It’s an approved free camp site (and yes I played the song)

Not to be a spoilsport, and I know it didn't matter anyway because of the Golden Ticket, but I feel like Adam and Tom's lamb challenge shouldn't have counted as eating the local dish. The local dish of Hokkaido is Jingisukan, a *grilled* lamb dish. In my opinion, boiling the lamb means that they're not really eating Jingisukan, just boiled lamb. It's like if they had to eat Texas barbecue for a challenge and boiled some ribs instead – the preparation is part of the dish.

Anyway, I know it doesn't matter, but I'm glad that Ben and Sam won purely for this reason.

Definitely deserves it in my opinion.
