The 400 years old Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu (Kagawa Prefecture) is designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty (Japan's highest cultural landscape status) and the largest cultural property garden in Japan.

The garden also holds the highest three-star rating in the Michelin Green Guide Japan for Attractions.

Our visit was a couple of weeks ago which was before the start of autumn foliage. It must be really pretty during the sakura or foliage season.

Chill hike in Kamikochi 🏔️

It's a long shot, I know. Was taken two years ago on almost the same day. Took the train outside of central Tokyo, but still in the city and near the station. Could be Minami-Asagaya, the entrance had a somewhat similar pedestrian-only area if I recall right...

This huge monument is in between Queen's Square and Landmark Plaza. I highly recommend checking those two places out if you find yourself in Yokahama.
