Hello, currently seeking help with my 2001 integra gs. It’s has been dying on me recently
while driving and having trouble turning back over. I’ve replaced alternator, ecu, and main relay and still dies. It’ll die if i’m sitting at a light or even driving on the interstate and trying to see if you guys have any suggestions. Thank you for reading

Brakes!

Hey yall, I have a relatively stock 1998 Integra GS and im trying to decide on a brake setup. I am planning on eventually swapping to the GSR drivetrain with a bolt-on only NA build. So i wont need crazy 4 piston calipers per se, unless it would be totally fine with clearance. Running 15in rims. I was looking at doing Brembo front snd rear rotors, with Hawk HPS 5.0 pads. The only issue if finding good OE calipers for a decent price that arent pairing them with pads. Id like to be less than 600-700 all around before taxes - which that setup would allow.

Just wanna get some ideas on the best oe size setup, or a setup that would be bigger but still allow full clearance.

Ive seen some people say 01 Type R calipers, 07 rotors (280 mm), with 04-08 TSX pads (which i could use the Hawk ones like id like).

Any other good combos? Thanks yall!

Hey guys - have been lurking for a few years. finally found myself a 2000 GS-R. i'm 36 years old now and had this car from ages 17-19. Had to sell my first one to pay the bills from a DUI at the age of 19. I am now 6 years sober and once again a GS-R owner. Have been waiting for this day since the day i sold my original in 2009.

Third Generation Registration card doesn't say Type R on it. WTF?

Hey everybody,

I've been building Hondas since the 90's and they're really nostalgic to me, since they remind me of when I was a teenager. The missus and I decided that for old time sake, we should pick up an Integra as a restoration projection.

So I found a 1998 Acura Integra Type R USDM that had a JDM front end swap down by the last owner. It's still LHD though, and has the OEM HID kit and everything.

I already know how to spot the difference between a rear Type R and a clone, so that's not the problem. The car is a legit Type R with no sunroof, no sound deadening, 5 lug hubs, Type R brake calipers, strut tower braces, subframe braces, and everything is legit.

But when I got my registration car in the mail from Pennsylvania's DMV and PennDOT, it just says "1998 Acura Integra" on it. Every other DC2 I've owned in the past always said "Type R" on the registration, but this one doesn't.

Am I trippin?

The VIN# is JH4DC231xxxxxxxxx and matches all over the car. Windshield, firewall, door jamb, transfer case, and under the carpet all have matching JH4DC231 VIN on them. Serial number plaque rivetted on the rad support is the same serial number on the center console. All of the numbers are legit and everything. It's on the registry.

Pennsylvania done fucked up, or is there some shady shit happening? My Integra LS said JH4DC4 and clearly marked "LS" on it's reg. All of my other Type R's were JH4DC231 and all had "Type R" on the reg. But not this one. Fucking weird.

I just want to sort this out just in case my wife and I ever decide to sell this thing after the restoration is done, because I don't want an innocent buyer to think we're ripping them off when it's a legit car.

Well, maybe not "favorite," but hood pins in my hinges is definitely in my top 5.

There's SOOO much more room when the hood isn't in the way - and the pins make it so much easier to remove the hood.

Question Is this a real DC2 Integra Type R?

Hi everyone, I spotted this Integra while driving in Levittown, PA. Has jersey plates but when I put them into plate checker, nothing comes back. Is this a real DC2 Integra Type R? (Edit: I forgot to add the photo to the post, I put the photo in the comments)

Can't figure out temp issue

My fans come on only when my obd2 reads 220F then it shuts off at 215 like clockwork. My lower rad hose doesnt feel hot until that happens either. Tried replacing the thermostat but its the same issue. I ran the car for like 30 minutes with the rad cap off, topping it up as needed to bleed the system and im 99% sure i installed the thermostat right side up. My only guess is head gasket causing some trapped air in the housing that'll never bleed and the temp in that area reading lower than my obd2 causing the thermostat to stay closed longer than it should.

Third Generation Loose wires after installing tucked harness

Post image
3 Upvotes

Basically I had spent yesterday installing a tucked harness since my old one was completely clapped out. I cut all the extra wires with no pins on the subharness from the original ecu harness and I think these are part of that just got stuck when I was pulling out the old harness? Not too sure, if you have any idea where these go please let me know! Putting everything back together tommorow so hoping for some advice/ hoping the car starts!

Hello guys, can I ask where I could find parts for my Integra DA9? I am currently residing in Asia right now and have terrible access to parts. Is there any websites maybe I could try looking? Any help or leads would do. Thank you very much

Oil leak

Post image
6 Upvotes

I bought a bone stock salvaged GSR (salvaged due to being stolen) from an auction a while back and swapped the motor into my LS. It sat for about 6 years because I didn’t have time to look into the crank no start. I finally made the effort to get it running turns out my timing was off got it TDC and got it running. It looks like the previous owner did some work on the head since it looks repainted. I’ve drove it about 400 miles now and noticed it was leaking oil. I cleaned the surface to get a better look at where it may be coming from. It looks like it’s from the gasket where the head and block meets. Any suggestions on what may cause this?

Ecu confusion

I ended up getting my hands on a manual ecu which is needed to get rid of my cel for my manual swapped integra but I’m pretty sure this one came off an integra with an immobilizer so I don’t know what I should do about that

Thinking about getting these for my silver Integra. Any thoughts? Kinda hard to decide on a color for rims. Also, what size tires for the specifications of the rims?

Bad idle

car is idling bad, recently smogged it and there’s no leaks and i just changed my iacv and it’s still doing this. When the car gets up to temp the idle jump will go away until i come to a stop it will jump for a few seconds then go back to idling normally.

Half inch of clearance here. Old radiator was busted through and i already had this slim fan setup so i bought a thick radiator hoping itd fit a half inch better. Any aftermarket headers or upper mounting brackets that help out here? Dont wanna melt my fans on their first drive and dont really wanna buy another rad 😬
