Discussion if they wanted this tv show to succeed in the future...

Suggestion of TV Series “Ink Master” show formatting.

Lose the previous ideas of flash challenges that are not tattoo related.

Lose the concept of coaches and teams, this should be a one-on-one ruthless competition.

Restrict judging to “must meet” the daily Skill of the day (composition, adaptability etc)

Host has no reason to be a judge if odd number of judges are present.

Exception: unless the need of a tie breaker and host should be last, not first, to speak before judges.

Consider adding one Guest Judges, that have expertise in Style of the day.

Entrance Elimination Challenge:

24 Contestants should be more picked in a spectrum such as:

More than 10 years, more than 5, less than 10, and less than 5 years' experience tattooing.

8 contestants should be picked in each group.

Each group of 8, in a 4 Hour tattoo challenge of their choice.

Half get eliminate and half will go to completion, each 8 is judged on [total of 6 x [1-10pts]]

Style, composition, quality, completeness, line work, shading and/or color application.

Competition

Each Round of the competition will be broken down in the following:

Skill of the day to be defined, see list below

Signature Flash Challenge: [1-10pts] 90mins

• Flash card tattoo, Artist choice of line work

• Winner of flash challenge, assigns the skull in Technical Challenge

Technical Challenge: [1-10pts] 4 hours timed. (list below)

• Tattoo line work provided by judge x3.

• Location identical for all canvas and cannot be changed.

• Judged on Style , quality of lines, shading, colour etc.

• NB: failure to do meet style of the day equates to an automatic -7pts penalty on score.

Show Stopper: [1-10pts] 6 hours Timed

• Must Meet the Skill of the Day

• Any Style, Any Location, canvas defined.

Each end of day all contestants are tallied up on their earned points

i.e. Flash + Technical + Show Stopper = Points of the day

Revealed Top Artist of the day = Gets to choose the style of the next day

Reveal three bottom artists of the day then, eliminating the lowest scored one.

Rince and repeat until 6 contestants are left

Semi Final Elimination 6 go in, 3 come out.

Head to head semi final round Robbin

Highest scoring contestant (total accumulated points this far) chooses whom they want to call out

Lowest of the two scoring contestant select style and subject, then they get to call out someone.

Same rules apply again until each have called out someone as well has chosen a style and subject

Once 6 hours have past the contestant that got call out has to tattoo their own style and subject in another 6 hours tattoo.

Judging will be side by side, best moves on.

Finale

24 Hours tattoo any style any subject

12 hours technical tattoo selected by judges of 3

6 hours tattoo selected by season voting of public on style, subject and technical. (poll online)

Suggested Skill of the Day (difficulty order to be defined)

Discussion Kelly that's not how people pray.

The canvas of this tattoo kept asking her to lower the hands and she kept rejecting it, even when the canvas at first was also wrong because nobody prays with their hands on their belly, those hands she drew are still wrong, nobody puts them on the side of their chin, they should be between the breast and under her chin.

I think that's bad work and it was supposed to be redemption, that poor canvas probably regret it when he got back home.

Question Does Ink master more money from Youtube than they get from Paramount+?

I started watching Ink Master from YouTube clips, and I have no idea how Paramount determines a show's profitability. But their most-viewed video shows the full challenge, from when they announce what the challenge is to the critics, but now they've mostly just been doing complications. Like, I get that they don't want to reveal the full episode to make people watch it on Paramount+. But a year after the season drops, I think anyone who wanted to watch it has already done so, and people who don't care enough to get a subscription won't, so you might as well post the full challenges on YouTube to squeeze as much revenue as you can from content that you've already filmed and edited as you can. And you never know; the video might go viral and bring more people to Paramount+.
