Discussion CRITIQUE on my shows visuals would be appreachiated!

Im making a series over on youtube, called ''beyond the stars''. I tried improving the visual quality by upgrading to an ipad + toonsquid combo. Heres some screenshots from the end of Episode 1, where toonsquid was used for coloring.

I wanna make sure my visuals look clean and as profecional as i can make them. I dont have after effects or simular fancy software, so i tried my best with what toonsquid had to offer + my limited knowlage of the software at the time.

I want an outside opinion on these screenshots, please be as critical as you want, i WANT critique!

Currently there is no animation done as I'm still in the modeling phase, but once I have enough done I'll be sure to post it here!

Also, the two pictures are the poster for the film and a little sneaky peek at what the monster looks like!

I Made This! WIP after credit scene for the Evil Eye pilot

Both Harlem and the little kid are voiced by AryVA.

I need to work on the timing and get better at lip syncing and sound mixing. But what do you think? Is the art style appealing (with what’s finished). And now that I’m hearing it again I think I accidentally used the wrong take when the kid screams for his dad so I’ll have to correct that later.

The context here is that Harlem is a nudibranch alien that can warp and his species do that by inverting themselves to travel between dimensions. He has gigantism and is not supposed to be seen.

Here’s how the art works- I use Clip Studio Paint. Characters are drawn like this- simple G pen outline, hand drawn scribble layer below that, special texture folder clipped to white layer below to act as a mask. So the texture folder has a “Chowder” effect under the hand drawn scribble layer. Then I add shading and whatnot. Because Harlem is supposed to be in the bushes under tree cover, I added some shadows to resemble leaves over him.

New Show A beautiful small indie show (Detective Green and Dean)

I have been watching this indie show for ages now and its simplistic animation and darker colours really make a vibe of the show and with only around 500 - 50 views per video I think it would be amazing if it could get a tad more recognition, please just check this indie show out

It is a about a detective that covers the "Tooth Fairy" Case where children have got all their teeth rip out, Detective Green and his comic relief ghost called Dean try to learn more about the case and catch the Tooth Fairy

I Made This! First time rigging and animating an original character in Blender. Honest feedback welcome!

Hey guys,

Like most of us, I spent years binge-watching animated videos on YouTube, always thinking "apna bhi time aayega." Finally downloaded Blender, struggled through the UI, and created this character named Ashu.

The plan is to make short, funny, and relatable animated stories and sketches.

Check out the intro clip and let me know your thoughts! What everyday Indian situations or stories would you love to see animated next?

Just wanted to give a shout out to a cool show with a lot of potential. Still in the animatic stage, but has an interesting premise and some great characters. There's also a prologue episode for anyone interested.

New Show Crush TV Studios needs a ton more kickstarter support for them to continue their Total Drama parody Clash Island!

Crush TV Studios recently released Clash Island episode 1, the first episode of a total drama parody they are making. However, they have received very little support on their kickstarter campaign and are at extremely high risk of not being able to continue production as mentioned by a post on their Youtube channel. The first episode is incredibly well made, and I really hope it can get the backing it deserves to continue with future episodes. The kickstarter campaign has about 21 days left to reach the funding goal of $21k.

Hiring! [Volunteer] We’re a 47-person indie team making an animated pilot (Update + Recruiting)

Hey everyone! My name is Christian Nash, and I'm the creator, animator, and director behind The ChristianAnimations Show (TCAS), an independent, anime-inspired animated pilot that I've been developing for the past four years.

I started this project when I was 12, and since then, it's grown into a collaborative production involving artists from different backgrounds who are helping bring this vision to life. Today, we're officially halfway through storyboarding! We're also working on animatics as we move closer to the animation stage.

When a teenage animator wins a local contest, he doesn’t just earn bragging rights, He paints a target on his back. Now hunted by the Anti-Animation League, Christian must fight not just for his art, but for the very creativity that keeps his world alive.

This video is our latest production update, featuring some of our storyboards, animatics, character designs, and a look at what we've been building over the past four years.

Our goal is to create a stylized, action-packed series that combines anime-inspired energy with expressive visuals and emotional storytelling. If you're into things like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, or Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, you might find something interesting here!

We're also looking for collaborators! We're currently looking for:

- Background artists

- Storyboard artists

- Animators

- Editors

- HR

Please note: These are currently unpaid, volunteer positions on an independent project. We're working toward funding, but compensation is not guaranteed at this stage. We want to be upfront about that so everyone can make an informed decision.

Interested in joining the team or learning more about the available roles? Check out our recruitment page: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeCWLwSUgYfXJ3W0-qO6bUIbotg8ofm7Ub-9XUf1b--M0yYYw/viewform

Thanks for taking the time to check out what we've been working on! We're excited to keep pushing forward and bring TCAS another step closer to reality ❤️💙🩷

Discussion CatsForSpace. Why do the lines look blended together?

For some reason, my animation have lines that looks blended together, I tried to fix this in postprocessing. But it didn't help.

Also how I do animation has changed, listening to Mario music while making these, so that might be causing the rashness.

I prepare the animation before the last one is finished, then after the last one, I do this one, then prepare the future one. So that would be how. And NOOO! I forgot the eyes!

New Show Mandelbrot Hall has one of the best pilot episodes I've ever seen

Link to the pilot episode

I haven't seen nearly enough people talk about this show, so I'm making this post to draw more attention to it. Been following this project for a while now, and now that's it finally come to fruition I'm happy to say that this first episode is extremely effective at presenting its characters and general premise while keeping you engaged at all times... It's a fun mix of Backrooms-esque/liminal space ideas, supernatural/psychological horror and casual college vibes, animation is really stellar, feels like the building itself is constantly changing shape, morphing in and out of different states, and there's some cool stop motion stuff in there as well...

Please please please go support this and tell as many people about it as possible, because I absolutely believe this deserves to be the next big thing (or at the very least that it should be expanded into a full blown show)
