Meme Finance Minister blames easy exits and excess liquidity for equity market’s underperformance
India’s stock market could benefit as global investors rethink expensive AI-focused stocks in markets like South Korea and Taiwan.
Despite the Nifty 50 falling around 13% in 2026, Indian IT stocks recently rebounded sharply, driven by stronger earnings and renewed AI optimism.
India’s opportunities lie in IT services and AI infrastructure, including data centres, optical fibre and power equipment. However, sustained recovery will depend on earnings growth, reasonable valuations and a reversal in foreign investor outflows.

Discussion India gets up to 90% of its permanent magnets from China. So why does everyone suddenly have a "rare earth stock" list?
ok this rabbit hole got weird fast
India imports most of its permanent magnets from China, somewhere between 60-81% by value and up to 90% by quantity depending on the year. EVs, wind turbines and defence all need them. so the government is pushing hard: a ₹7,280 crore scheme, rare earth corridors in a few states, and 20 companies bid for magnet manufacturing
but when I tried to find the actual "rare earth stocks", it got confusing. most of the names people throw around (Coal India, NMDC, even L&T) barely earn anything from rare earths today. it's a side project for them. GMDC looks like the closest to the real thing and even that is still pre-production
so a mining company and a magnet maker can both be called "rare earth plays" with totally different timelines, margins and risks. feels like the gap between "connected to the theme" and "earning from it" is huge here
where do you land?
- I'd wait for actual production numbers before caring
- I'd track it early, even if it takes years
- it's a theme-stock trap, I stay away
and has anyone here actually found a company where rare earths is more than a footnote in the annual report?

Discussion Atleast 50% on Listing Day?
In this shitty downfall, I "predict" that on the listing day of Jio, there will be a huge spike in Nifty...just to compensate.
What do you think?
In all my years of trading, I've never been so flabbergasted with how it's been going.
But such are the markets...

Shitpost Forget equities if you have stocked Isopure whey you would have doubled your investment
I was ordering Isopure whey today and was overwhelmed with price. Opened price history and saw nothing but a equities like uptrend. Never thought inflation can be this steep.

Discussion Everyone's talking about Jio's IPO size, but is anyone looking at the ₹10 lakh crore valuation?
Jio Platforms is looking at a valuation of roughly ₹10.3 lakh crore, which is a massive number even by Indian market standards. The user base and business scale are obviously huge, but the real question is how much future growth is already priced in.
Between telecom, digital services and the possibility of selling its technology abroad, there's a lot to the story beyond subscriber numbers. Curious what people here think. Is the valuation justified, or is the hype doing some heavy lifting?

Discussion KWIL bounced 6% off ₹36 support. Early reversal or just a relief pop?
I’ve been going through KWIL on the 2h, 4h, daily and weekly charts, and thought I’d share what I’m seeing and hear what others think. Not a recommendation, just notes.
The stock went from ~₹22 (March) to ~₹50 (August), then pulled back to ~₹36. Friday’s candle was a +6% bounce right off that level, closing around ₹38.7.
The good part: support held, buyers were clearly more active that day, and it reclaimed the ₹38 area it had lost earlier.
The part that makes me hesitate: volume is tiny compared to the August move, there’s no clean trend yet (it still looks range-bound to me), and there’s a supply zone around ₹42–43 just above.
My own take is that this is an early bounce, not a confirmed reversal. I’d want to see a daily close above ~₹40 with better volume before taking it seriously. A close below ₹36 and the idea is dead.
Also, if someone were to buy right here with a stop under ₹36, the first logical target is close enough that the reward barely covers the risk. Waiting for a pullback or a breakout seems cleaner to me, but I could be wrong.
What am I missing? Anyone seeing something different on the weekly?

Discussion Polycab Q2 FY27: record quarter, revenue up 53% YoY
Q2'2027 Key Numbers
Revenue: ₹9,898.9 cr, up 53% from ₹6,477.2 cr last year
PAT: ₹990 cr, up 43% from ₹692.95 cr
Operating EBITDA: ₹1,422.5 cr, up 39% YoY
PAT margin: 10.7%, up 260 bps YoY and 50 bps QoQ
EBITDA margin: about 14.4%, ahead of the 13.7% market expectation, even though input costs rose to 76.4% of revenue
H1 FY27 Key Numbers
Revenue: ₹18,108.6 cr, up 46%
EBITDA: ₹2,558.7 cr, up 36%
PAT: ₹1,786.7 cr, up 38%
Segments: W&C grew 44% in H1, and FMEG grew 97% to ₹1,754 cr from ₹890 cr
Takeaways
Growth is broad-based. Management points to infrastructure spending, electrification and improving private capex as demand drivers.
FMEG is still a small slice of revenue, but it's the fastest-growing segment.
Margins held up despite higher input costs. Raw material (copper/aluminium) volatility is the main thing to watch.
Sequentially, Q1 revenue was ₹8,209.7 cr, so Q2 was a solid step up.
The stock was trading around ₹8,225, down about 1.3% intraday on results day, so a lot of the good news may already be priced in.
