Journalists like Nikhil Wagle regularly framed narratives against Veer Savarkar by downplaying his contribution for freedom movement by citing mercy petition. Ironic part is the same Nikhil Wagle tendered an unconditional apology for abusing CJI.

In addition to it, Nikhil Wagle was the same journalist who made a career by criticizing Shiv Sena.

Tables turned when Shiv Sena left NDA to ally with INC-NCP to form MVA and the state govt that lasted between 2019-2022, and since then the "journalist" as been a vocal supporter of Thackeray.
