New Sub r/ComicCharcha.

Hey everyone,

I've been watching a lot of standup online and really want to experience it live for the first time. Looking for recommendations for good offline standup shows in Delhi.

A few details:

· Budget: around ₹500–600

· Day: Tuesday or weekend works for me

· Open to any language (Hindi/English) as long as the comic is good

· I like pretty much all the online stuff I've seen, so no strong preference on style just want a fun first experience

Would love suggestions on:

1. Which comedians/shows are worth catching at this price point

2. Any tips for a first-timer (booking, seating, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

How many different shows Punit Pania is doing!

It's insane the disparity between these shows and assuming the set to be quite similar in all of them.

But this is insane.

If I have to go watch Punit Pania, It's available in so many different price ranges.

Been there for her since pushpavalli and here for her nexts.Brilliant stuff!! We need more of women being unapologetically brilliant

I'm the sort of person who doesn't laugh much when watching comedy shows. Not necessarily because I don't find them funny, I just don't get the urge to laugh out loud that often. I like Kenny Sebastian's comedy, especially his deadpan humour and physical comedy, and Vir Das is someone I find really interesting to listen to, even if his comedy doesn't make me laugh as much. I enjoy the way he approaches topics and builds his material.

But this Kanan Gill special genuinely had me cracking up. I loved the full-circle moment at the end, where he referenced jokes from earlier in the show (probably my favourite thing in any comedy special). There's something so satisfying about seeing all these little references come together, and it makes you realise how much thought went into the writing. You spend the whole show laughing at things, and then the ending makes you look back at them differently.

I loved how it brought together nonsense and serious topics. And most jokes had a purpose in his entire 'story'.

I also really liked how it made you think without feeling like it was trying too hard to make some grand statement. It's funny in the moment, but there's something that stays with you afterwards, too. I think that's what I enjoyed most about it.

ps: I am trashy at writing reviews

Anyone who was there this Wednesday 8 pm for this show ???

Who was that guy with long hair ??!!

Also can we take pictures with the comedians after the show/sets ??

Because I left with the fear that they won't allow it ?

First time attending a comedy show. So, is it worth going?

still unfinished
original joke was

"saare journalists aur protestors ko lock kar diya hai tihar jail mei
aur gunde share aam ghoom rahe hai
i feel like tihar jail is the safest place in west delhi right now

bas kuch gunde mei jail ke andar bhi honge

aajkal toh police ki uniform mei ghumte hai

bina badge ke"

Im going to this comedy festival on sunday and pretty excited to see a bunch of shows. Anyone who’d like to join or meet there?

Thinking of going here. Never went to a stand up ever. Would it be worth it? It mentions many big comics are coming
