There could be a different ways to do this.

Some ideas:

instead of telling you that your drafts are full, when you have 20 drafts and attempt to save a new draft, it could save the new draft and automatically delete the oldest draft

Or

Drafts could be set to auto delete after a period of time

Or

Something like the oldest few drafts could auto delete

Any other ideas / feedback related to this topic?

Another idea - how about 30 or 40 drafts instead of just 20

And then if a draft only has under 20 characters, those could be auto deleted first

Greetings and felicitations. Please make all of subreddit's available flairs in a visible in the sidebar, not just the first twelve(?) or selected twelve(?), and in old Reddit as well as new Reddit.

Proposal:

Allow authors to replace, swap, or re-upload an image in an existing post (or edit individual photos within a gallery post) without needing to delete and recreate the entire post.

​Why this feature is needed:

​Privacy & Security Concerns (Primary Reason): Users occasionally post screenshots or photos and later realize they accidentally left sensitive personal information exposed—such as email addresses, phone numbers, current locations, IP addresses, or home addresses. Currently, the only option is deleting the entire post, which destroys all community discussions, context, and upvotes.

​Mistakes & Corrections: Users often notice typos, formatting errors, or visual glitches on images (like infographics, meme templates, or artwork),accidentally leaving in info in an image like sensitive/private info like e-mail,phone number,current location,home address etc shortly after posting. Being able to update the image ensures content remains accurate and high quality.

​Image Swapping for Better Clarity: Sometimes a user finds a higher-resolution version or a better cropped version of an image after posting.

​Possible Safeguards/Implementation Ideas:

​Limit image editing to direct uploads hosted on Reddit.

​Add an "Image Edited" tag or timestamp on the post (similar to standard post edits) for transparency so context cannot be maliciously swapped out.

​Limit image replacements to a specific time window (e.g., within 24 hours of posting) or allow moderators to see the edit history if needed.

I first started using reddit after I left facebook due to their profit/engagement model blatantly pushing extreme and controversial content. I loved how reddit used to be an exclusively “opt in” platform.

The past couple of years I have tolerated reddit slowly moving in the direction of facebook by pushing engagement and controversy. I hoped that it was a growing pain.

The platform is starting to lose me due to the amount of work it takes to curate my feed now. God forbid I participate in one controversial discussion because my feed will be inundated with racist, authoritarian, and gender war bullshit.

There has got to be a better way to filter this garbage out rather than constantly muting subs I never joined in the first place. I figure if the algorithm is clever enough to push controversy surely it could be tailored to avoid it.

Some feedback on the recent "For You" tab feature test. great discovery tool. Keeping recommended content in its own dedicated feed—separate from my subscribed subreddits—made discovering new communities much easier without cluttering my main home feed. I would love to see this rolled out permanently.

I'd like to suggest a simple improvement to Reddit that could increase transparency and help users better understand how communities are moderated.

Currently, subreddits display information such as their total membership and the number of users online. I propose adding another statistic: the total number of users banned from that community.

For example:

• 125,000 members
• 230 online
• 4,850 users banned

This wouldn't reveal usernames, reasons for bans or any personal information. Moderators would retain all their existing powers.

Why would this be useful?

Reddit thrives on open discussion and diverse opinions. Moderation is essential for preventing spam, harassment and abuse, but it's also important that respectful disagreement and good-faith dissent are encouraged.

Making ban statistics visible would give users greater insight into moderation practices and encourage transparency and accountability across communities.

Of course, a high number of bans wouldn't necessarily indicate poor moderation, since some communities naturally attract more spam or rule-breaking behaviour.

I believe this small addition could help users make more informed choices about which communities to participate in, while encouraging healthy, open discussion.

Would others find this a useful feature?

I don't know if this is available on other platforms but it isn't on the mobile browser site (using Firefox Android). Please give us a way to dismiss the "New posts" pop-up. It's annoying (and not user-friendly) having to tap it to get rid of it and, thereby, force a page refresh. I want to be able to stay where I am on the page without that pop-up staying there.

If not for everyone to see, at least OP. I was just typing something out in an edit and accidentally wrote over part of what I originally submitted and lost a sentence. I'm the type of user that will type out stuff in Gmail then copy/paste here on reddit. I've written over my own content a time or two. This would help even more with overall transparency as well if this were something that could he turned on for everyone to see (i.e. past versions of posts/comments).

I’d like to suggest a feature that makes it harder for persistent trolls and accounts that repeatedly spread deliberate disinformation to conceal their behaviour across Reddit, while preserving profile privacy for ordinary users.

How it could work

Privacy by default: Users can continue hiding their post and comment history as they do now. No digital ID, real-name verification, or disclosure of personal information would be required.
Cross-subreddit reporting: Reddit’s backend could identify accounts receiving credible, independent reports across multiple unrelated subreddits for persistent trolling, harassment, or deliberately spreading disinformation.
Evidence-based review: Reports would trigger a review, not an automatic penalty. A high report count alone should never be sufficient, since coordinated reporting and brigading could be used to target people for their opinions.
Temporary profile transparency: If a repeated pattern of bad-faith behaviour is substantiated, the account would temporarily lose the ability to hide its Reddit contributions (posts and comments), making its activity publicly viewable.
Restoration through sustained improvement: The restriction would be lifted once the user demonstrates sustained improvement over a defined period, based on clear criteria for relevant behaviour. Users should also have access to an appeal process.

Important safeguards
I’m not suggesting that unpopular opinions, political disagreements, honest mistakes, or simply being wrong should qualify someone for this restriction.
Misinformation is false or inaccurate information shared without necessarily intending to deceive; disinformation involves deliberately creating or spreading false information to deceive or cause harm. Disagreement with a correction alone should not establish malicious intent.
The system would need transparent criteria, safeguards against coordinated reporting, and a review process independent of individual subreddit moderators. No single moderator or subreddit should be able to impose this restriction on someone across Reddit.

Why I think this could help
Public post and comment histories can help users assess whether someone consistently participates in good faith, repeatedly trolls discussions, or spreads demonstrably false claims. When an account conceals its history, identifying these patterns becomes more difficult.
The objective isn’t to eliminate anonymity or punish dissent. It’s to make it harder for repeat offenders to conceal a consistent pattern of bad-faith behaviour, while allowing users who demonstrate sustained improvement to regain their privacy settings.

Would Reddit consider a system like this, with privacy as the default and temporary, reviewable restrictions reserved for substantiated repeat behaviour?

My Idea would be for a better Mod Panel Queue under "Removed" all Content 7 Days or older gets Auto Deleted. Right now It stays forever which is not needed.

If it is Removed or Deleted there is no reason to keep It in that Queue that I can see.

Another Option would be to send It to a Trash Can for Deletion after 7 Days.

Hi!

I'm sure it's been suggested multiple times over the years, but I'm currently following some posts. I no longer wish to follow them, and they were a lot of posts (probably 50 or so). I wish there could be a feature to actually just be able to stop following the posts you're following. Maybe a tab on settings that allows you to see all the posts you're currently following, with the option to delete the 'follow' option on each post.

It really would be helpful, as instead of actually going through each sub and finding which ones you followed you simply have the option to find them all in a single page/tab and delete them all or the ones you wish to unfollow.

I really appreciate any responses.

As most of you may know, many subreddits have participation requirements for new users, and for good reason, whether it's karma- or time-based. Any new user who doesn't meet these criteria will have their post or comment deleted, shadow-banned, and/or they'll sometimes\* receive a message or email explaining why. This is fine (mostly). However, these requirements can be vague, confusing, or even discouraging for new users, even if there is a good point to be made about their vagueness. This is worsened by the fact that you receive the message -- *if you receive one at all -- after you've already worked on the post or comment, which brings me to my suggestion:

I think Reddit should be upfront and outright disable the textbox and/or buttons for posts or comments if the user doesn't meet the participation requirements for the given subreddit.

To take it a step further, include an overlay that covers the textbox (or add a blurb somewhere else) with a warning to the effect of "You don't have enough karma to post here yet" or whatever. Could even include a link to the rules page for more details AND/OR a list "starter subs" alongside the warning as well. Whatever they do, be more outright with it.

Makes it easier to scan through the comment section and decide if a comment and commenter should be given extra scrutiny.

I have to go through my blocklist every few weeks to check the hundreds of accounts I have blocked to see if they're banned, to remove their spot so I can keep blocking.

Please implement that if a user is Perma Banned/Suspended or Account deleted, it removes them from peoples block lists automatically since they would never come back with that account.

Often when I'm typing out a comment in the Android app, I need to task switch in the middle of doing so. It may be to go to my browser to grab a link or image, or perhaps I'm double checking a fact or quote.

When I task switch back to the reddit app, I am greeted with a question whether I want to save my draft. Pressing yes closes the reply window, meaning I need to press reply to the correct comment again and only then continue writing my message.

I would much prefer if the typing window just remained up where I left it.

It seems to me like task switching makes the app assume I tried to close the window. It is quite frustrating.

This would allow authors to be aware of all deletions.

Recently with the introduction of the new home feed ui i’ve found I’m typically getting old posts (like 5 days old) at the top of my feed.

I would like to be able to still get “best” posts as the sorting method but also be able to prioritize recent posts.

The sort by new option typically surfaces low quality posts so i never use it.

Couple of options:

1. (less feasible) Algorithm shift to put recent best posts at the top, which It sort of does but recently i’m seeing old posts

2. Add an option to select a preferred date range in the best filter

more likely to get interactions if don't have to stretch thumb so much

I realize reddit relies on free moderation, but it has turned into the Stanford Prison Experiment. Subreddits have many mods, but it only takes one moderator to perma ban a redditor, and the reason they have for doing so is of no importance of reddit.

Reddit's view is that it's the moderator's subreddit to rule over, but I think that perception under represents the importance of online communities to people who can't receive support from any place else, especially LGBT+ redditors who might live in conservative regions. A spurious subreddit ban can mean a loss of familiar friends, and place to talk about their lives, and no recourse. Because of network effect, there is no other reddit, and no alternative as emerged in over two decades.

These communities are valuable enough on the individual level that I'd be willing to pay some kind of subscription, if it offered me better representation and recourse when a subreddit bans me for reasons that are not listed in their rules, and are dubious otherwise.

I'd bet even an AI could do it cheap. Show an LLM what I'm being banned for, the rules of the subreddit, and ask it who it agrees with. If the LLM sides with the subreddit, so be it. If a subreddit says "we can ban anyone for any reason" then at least they would be making their intentions clear from the get go.

I realize this would cost money. I think some sort of reddit premium service that affords a redditor representation and defense against poor moderation would both make money and save a lot of people who are losing access to an important resource.

like the new comment guidance stuff for subreddit rules it should give you a warning here. seems possible since they do seem to flag immediately after you comment and give you an automated ban from subreddit and sometimes sitewide.

anyways this is inspired by me fucking up *again* by not reading the sub in home feed before commenting or in case of first forgetting im banned.
