Clean As A Whistle...
A rather extensive wash and detail today. Prepping up for a Canadian Winter and will start to stack my paint protection product to last me until the spring!

A little while ago, when I was pulling it into the driveway, it started misfiring and shaking loudly. The check engine light came on on, and it said emission system problem. I bought it lightly used 8 years ago and have almost never had any problems with it. I change the oil when it tells me to and do routine maintenance consistently, and it has treated me very well. I got the plugs changed, the problem went away for about a week, and now it’s back. I would love to avoid buying a new car, but I don’t want to fix it if it’s not worth it. I was under the impression Hondas lasted more than 10 years, which was partly a reason I went with a Japanese car. To be fair it has over 200,000 miles. I’m no grease monkey myself, but I know enough to know that “emissions system” can range from a lot of things. Any thoughts?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm asking for advice. My 2016 Pilot suffered an engine failure about 2 weeks ago. The mileage is 175,035. I was aware of the recall and I did check with Honda when I was first issued and I called them right after the engine failed and was told it wasn't in the recall. I read the recall was for Pilots built between 5/10/16-6/3/16. From reading posts here I found the build date of my Pilot and it's 5/9/16. I'd appreciate any help or advice on the best way to contact Honda Corporate and has anyone experienced a similar situation. I know the mileage is high but with my build date being the day before the starting date I'm hoping Honda will do something to help. Thank you for reading and any advice.

I'm not really trying to sell this. But I have it listed on ebay. I just want to get rid of it without putting it in landfill. I'll even offer to pay the shipping if it's not too much. Even if yours is just scratched and you want it replaced. It's on ebay 267799787531 but I'll cancel that and you won't have to pay anything. Closer is preferred (SE USA)
You can have it but you have to DM me your info. Not a scam (trust me, wink wink).

Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a recent experience with my 2019 Honda Pilot Touring.
We’ve been experiencing unusually high temperatures lately, reaching 109°F (43°C), which is definitely not something we’re used to.
About a week ago, I arrived home, turned off my Pilot, and noticed that the cooling fan kept running. I waited about 30 minutes, but it wouldn’t shut off.
Interestingly, there were no warning lights or error messages on the dashboard. However, I also noticed something strange: the audio system had completely stopped working. No sound at all.
At that point, I got concerned and decided to disconnect the battery to prevent it from draining. I contacted my local Honda dealership and scheduled a diagnostic appointment.
After inspecting the vehicle, Honda technicians determined that three relays had failed and needed replacement. The parts had to be specially ordered.
They allowed me to take the Pilot home while waiting for the replacement relays, but with the fog lights temporarily disabled.
About four days later, the new relays arrived. Honda installed them, performed several tests, and confirmed that everything was working normally again.
So far, the cooling fan and audio system are working perfectly, and the issue hasn’t returned.
I’m not sure whether the extreme heat contributed to the relay failures or if it was just a coincidence.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their 2016–2022 Honda Pilot? Especially a cooling fan that won’t turn off combined with a complete loss of audio?
Just sharing my experience in case it helps another Pilot owner dealing with the same symptoms.

The lights in the pull-down sun visor with mirrors. Does anyone know what the bulb is and what the LED replacement bulb is?
I searched the part number and then searched led replacement and I was sent no where near the correct bulb.

Hey guys! Just picked up a 2026 Honda Pilot Black Edition last night. Traded in my Subaru Outback Wilderness. I loved that car but my wife and I are expecting and traveling with a new child plus all their additional needs AND two dogs we needed more space. That being said, what do y'all suggest for crossbars and Cargo Carrier? Looking for something that could fit a few suitcases. TIA! Pic for anyone curious!

My trusted Honda mechanic retired. Sigh. I am at 200k miles in my old girl but want to keep going. Nothing seems wrong except for a more bumpy noisy ride. What do I ask for when I go to a mechanic? I know timing belt is in the next 20k miles/

Can anyone identify what this leaking hose is underneath the 2005 Honda pilot? It plugs In under the alternator and routes to the front of the radiator. It is very oily and I’m thinking power steering. Any help would be much appreciated!

Most dealerships are offering $55k OTD with TTL so far but I feel like we can do better.

I installed VCM tuner II on my 2015 pilot but sometimes (not everyday day) the eco mode sign comes and go.
Is this normal?

I'm looking for a pilot that will be a spare vehicle, not our daily driver but the occasional Sam's/Cosco pick up. It would be a third vehicle so probably less than 8k-10k miles a year. I'm seeing some at dealers 2016-2018(I like that gen) for 200k+ miles but less than 9k. Are they reliable enough(on average) to take the chance for a spare vehicle? Any advice is welcomed.

Update for anyone wondering that read the first post. The dealership took a microphone harness from a new pilot and installed it. It did not resolve the issue. They said they would have to do further research and search the tech forums. They gave me a loaner while they have it.

Looking to replace the DRL/high beam 9005 bulbs. Finding some is pretty easy, but I want some amber or yellow bulbs and those are 65 watt. The manual says the 9005 bulbs that the Pilot uses are suppose to be 60 watts. So it ok to run 65 watt bulbs if the stock ones are 60 watts?

2026 Pilot Touring, just bought it in mid-July. A week after purchasing, my windshield got hit with a stone off the road and I had to have it replaced. Ok, shit happens. About a month ago, after a wash, I noticed a small chip in the new windshield. Ok, again, shit happens. I had this one repaired, as it wasn’t very big.
Well, on my way home on a road trip yesterday, got ANOTHER stone off the highway, and I have to replace the windshield AGAIN. Before this vehicle, I had replaced ONE windshield in my life, ever (been driving 40 years). Is there something with the aerodynamics in this vehicle that attracts stones??? I wouldn’t think so, because that sounds ridiculous. Or, which sounds much more feasible, windshield glass simply sucks now? More likely explanation is, I just have shit luck. 🤣🤣

2011 second gen.
At around 20mph when I take my foot off gas and let car coast, it aggressively/minor jerks when speed drops.
Feels like its almost dragging & im sure its down shifting here and there but feels more aggressive then a down shift.
I changed the tranny fluid like 3-5000 miles ago cause the torque converter is felt was hopping at 25-30mph and that stopped it. But slowing d9wn feels so aggressive.
Any ideas?

I bought my 2020 Honda Pilot Touring in 2024. I am going on my 5th battery. The MOST system was popping and the dealer replaced the unit and harness (supposedly). I've read that the bad harness prevents MOST from going to sleep and it runs constantly which zaps the battery. The all knowing AI said that it is covered under a recall: 23V-431/TSB 20-058. Is anyone else's Pilot eating batteries? If so, did you find a solution?

We have a 2017 Touring purchased new, it’s been phenomenal so far. Just 55k miles, On our roadtrip it threw the P0420 and P219A, after refuelling the code went away - “Emissions systems problem”. I don’t have VCM disabled. I took it to the dealer and they are saying since no active code is present they can’t do much. I showed them the mail I received regarding TSB 20-100 which specifically mentions the injector issue. How do I get them to honour warranty ?
The vehicle drives well, but it’s been doing this thing with the codes.. sometimes it comes on then off for a while. I also don’t do short trips. I don’t have oil burning issue so far. I will be installing VCM Tuner 2.

I recently bought a 2007 Pilot with 151,000 Miles. Midas would not change the Trans fluid bec of how dirty it was. After reading stuff on the interwebz , I am glad I didnt. They said to take it to a Trans Shop .
I read alot of people on prob this page , saying just dont touch it, a flush could pronounce any already issues that were there. Seems to be a very controversial topic.Thoughts ?

Looking to purchase this model with 33,000 miles and in excellent shape for $37000. Any issues with this year I should be concerned about? Thank for any insights and support.
