Looking for a Minecraft YouTube Video Editor, scripter, director or thumbnail creator

Yo! I'm a Minecraft YouTuber working on a scripted SMP series called Disarray SMP, inspired by cinematic, story-driven Minecraft SMP videos.

I'm looking for a beginner or aspiring editor who wants to gain experience and build their portfolio.

The editing style I'm looking for:

• Cinematic storytelling and suspense
• Funny moments, sound effects and zooms
• Smooth cuts, pacing and music
• Minecraft SMP-style editing

I can't pay at the moment, but I'll give full credit in the video description. I'm hoping to find someone who enjoys Minecraft and wants to grow alongside the channel.

If you're interested, comment or DM me with any examples of your editing. Beginners are welcome!

Thanks!

Hola, gente.

Hi everyone. I’m a new video editor—mostly for TikToks or Reels. As I said, I’m new to this, but I’m really trying to learn. So, if anyone wants to work with me, I’m ready to put in my best effort. I won’t charge more than seven dollars, and I only accept payments via PayPal.

Hello, I currently need someone to edit my clips that I precut from my stream. I cant pay you sadly but, if the channel does get monetized you get 100% of the ad revenue the clips make. I'm primarily looking for people to grow alongside my journey. So if you want to fill out your portfolio or just get some practice in this is a place to start. I really hope you like SM64 and Luigi's Mansion because that's where I've pivoted my gameplay.

Hi everyone!

I’m a UK-based video editor using Adobe Premiere Pro, currently building my portfolio in long-form YouTube editing.

I work on promotional videos in my day job and want to expand into personality-led entertainment content, particularly vlogs, travel, challenges, commentary and comedy.

I’m offering a free edit of a short section of your raw footage in exchange for permission to showcase the finished edit in my portfolio.

I’m particularly interested in improving pacing, storytelling, comedic timing, sound design and making videos feel engaging to watch.

You don’t have to use the finished edit if it’s not right for your channel, and there’s no obligation to continue working together.

If you’re a creator with footage you’d like to try out, feel free to comment or DM me with your channel and the type of video you make.

Thanks!

[EDITOR FOUND - THANK YOU ALL]

Hey everyone!

I'm a gaming YouTuber looking into hiring my first editor, and I'd love some advice on realistic pricing before committing to anything.

I run a channel called oBORATo, primarily creating story-driven videos around competitive Hell Let Loose gameplay.

https://m.youtube.com/@oborato

The channel has grown to over 1,000 subscribers, my videos regularly attract several thousand views, and my most successful recent upload is approaching 50,000 views.

I work full-time in engineering and have recently taken on some additional responsibilities outside work. Unfortunately, finding the time to create videos has become increasingly difficult.

I genuinely enjoy content creation and want to keep growing the channel and skillset, but each video currently takes me approximately 30 hours to produce (I'm still learning).

What I'm Looking For

My videos are typically 10–15 minutes long, with a strong emphasis on storytelling rather than gameplay montages.

Ideally, I'd like to collaborate with someone who can:

- Develop compelling narratives from gameplay footage.

- Use music to create emotion, tension and humour.

- Build engaging hooks and maintain good pacing.

- Identify opportunities for narration, which I'll record myself.

- Bring their own creative ideas and editing style to the channel.

I'm not necessarily looking for someone to replicate my current editing style. I'd love to work with someone who can bring a fresh perspective and potentially improve the overall quality.

How Would the Workflow Look?

Initially, I'd review the raw gameplay myself and provide timestamps of important moments, along with context about the match and any potential storylines.

The editor would then help develop the narrative, suggest narration where appropriate, and handle the editing process.

Over time, I'd ideally like to build enough trust for them to take on more of the creative workload.

I'll continue handling thumbnails, titles and publishing.

My Question: What Would You Charge?

I'm completely new to hiring editors, so rather than throwing out an arbitrary budget, I'd like to understand what a fair rate would be for this type of work.

For context:

- Finished video length: 10–15 minutes.

- Content: Story-driven gaming videos.

- Footage: Initially timestamped and organised by me.

- Creative input: Story development, narration suggestions, music, pacing and editing.

- Frequency: Approximately one video per month.

- Potential: Long-term collaboration if we're a good fit.

I appreciate that quality editing is time-consuming, and I'm not looking to underpay someone for their work.

I'd particularly love to hear from editors experienced in gaming or narrative-driven YouTube content.

What would you realistically charge per video for this level of involvement?

If you're interested in potentially working together, feel free to share your portfolio and rates in the comments or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
