I've just randomly stumbled upon this series after I saw a picture of Haruhi on 4chan /w/. I went to look for it on Anilist, got even more curious, and inevitably started this eccentric anime. As I finished the series, I feel like it wasn't enough. I know this is a very common reaction for any outstanding piece of art, but this is different from what I've always felt. It feels as though the name Suzumiya Haruhi has been a person I've always known on a personal level, and Mikuru, Kyon, Yuki and Itsuki are people I have deep bonds with. This is my first post on reddit after being an avid reader here for years. I just need to get this out of my system, because I firmly believe there will never be any anime that would ever come close to how this series made me feel. If y'all have any suggestions on which anime I can maybe digest after this, please let me know.

Basically, since it was the 20th anniversary and I had never watched Haruhi before, I challenged myself and watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya following the 2009 order for the first time every Friday from April to October. And then just recently I watched The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya cause I couldn't be arsed to wait till February of next year. It was peak af.

This is not self promotion I'm not a youtuber but I went on a Haruhi pilgrimage when I visited Japan a few weeks ago and made this video for my friend, but I thought some people here could also get something out of it so I'm sharing it

I could totally see it happening, haruhi on rythm guitar and vocals, yuki on lead guitar, mikuru on keys, koizumi on the drums and kyon on the bass (my goat)

It would be so cool, shit would be peak honestly
