Hey guys, I’m new here. Just wondering whats better? The glacial staff or the scorching one and if so whats the best progression route to get the next set. Also looking for good base locations. I still haven’t don’t the signal on the picnic table yet mostly because I’ve been having fun trying to get stronger a bit early. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated

So yeah.. people were NOT kidding with how crazy life steal is, even if the shield gives healing with blocks i just get so much healing it isn't even necessary. but id like some recommendations of where to go from here. currently my load out is sleek path lady's bug armor (i don't have the tier 3 stones recipe yet still just exploring the pond). and i currently wield 3 tiger mosquito needles, 1 with mighty, 1 with spicy, and 1 with fresh, I'm just using the trinket that adds sizzling damage after a combo, and have some standard mutations i don't think i have any for heals if there is any. as i stated I'm just working on the pond right now. currently working on getting the diving suit to reach the abyss, any recs or tips are greatly appreciated!

I'm unsure whether or not this is a bug or an in game mechanic, but i decided to actually start utilizing the smoothies since in the first game i kind of ignored them, but figured they'd be useful here. (they have been great i love them). now me you can call it cheese but i typically like to make a hard save before a boss just so my equipment doesn't break and my consumables are still in tact. but i noticed when running up the AXL fight. (or any fight) if i die after using my smoothies and reload my save before i used them their gone? is this an actual mechanic or is this a known bug? any clarification is appreciated, thanks!

I was just thinking that since the candy staves are the pure form of these "elemental" conditions shouldn't they be the ones that proc them the fastest? I know that with the staff mutation these elements do the best at max but it seems like melee weapons reach max build up the fastest? I know it is probably because of attack speed but even though, I think the staves should always reach the max build up the fastest out of all weapons because it's the purest form. I just don't think it is ok for a melee weapon with added candy damage be able to get to max build up faster. Staff build up is like 15 or 20 per hit when these melee weapons are the same. I think staves should have 25 or 30 while melee should have like 10 or 15. To me it only makes sense. This would make up for the slower attack speed. Faster attack speed weapons do more damage because they are faster and build up faster so overall. Im curious on what people think of this. The mage archetype should be the best at these conditions and its charge attacks should compliment that.

Acorn bits are part of a pretty important meal, Mac N Bees, which increases critical hit chance. But currently their drop rate is seemingly around 20% for 1 bit per acorn. This makes the feel rare. I already have more than enough tops and shells so I'm only hunting and busting acorns for the bits now
My suggestion is to boost this to 60% for 1 bit, 15% for 2 and 2% for 3. It would make foraging for them feel much more rewarding.
Also, I would love to be able to plant dandelion tufts in the garden patch to farm pollen. I think it would make for an interesting mechanic. Farm it in its yellow flower stage for pollen, or wait until the seed phase for more tufts

Weapon attacks have a 50% chance to increase the damage of your next attack by 15% and crit chance by 2%
Weapon attacks have a 50% chance to lower the damage of your next attack by 5% and crit chance by 1%
Only one effect can be active at a time
Effect expires if not in combat

Hey guys, just started a new save few days ago after stopping at the bug race uodate due to lags.
I've seen comments here and on youtube complaining about bugs density being too high. I feel like i am the only one who actually enjoy it. To me it makes the park even more alive and packed in a good way. It also helps that i'm a loot goblin who can't say no to more ressources haha.
A lot of survival game i played had "dead zone" where there is close to no structures no ressources and no monster and i always felt it makes the area incomplete and unalive.
In G2 there is a lot of things everywhere. The fact we are tiny in a park helps packed the map with stuff too, but i never had that feeling in any other game. The night where you barely see in front of you and you get jumped, i just love it. I finally feel like i'm really survivng (until i get to ant club and start annihilate every bugs i see).
I also live that under my base sometime a wolf spider fights 2 scorpions and 1 orb weaver. I get to grab almost free ressources, but the roaming bugs add even more to the games unique feeling.
So far, apart from some bugs and glitches, i have no complains. Props to Obsidian and Eidos Montreal for the amazing job they are doing. Can't wait to see what the 1.0 will be like.

I had a save file with 100+ hours invested. Logged back in to check out the new updates and now Im missing some core recipes I already had (including glue masher), and have no way to re-acquire them. Already turned in all of the existing chips and purchased the recipes.
Has anyone else encountered this and found a potential fix?

I'm playing the rot and ruin PTB any I'm having super bad performance. My frame rate is stuttering and freezing super bad. I have a NASA pc so I have no clue what's up or if its just the build. I tried messing with graphics and checking task manager but nothing is out of the ordinary. Any ideas?

The lighting shining on to my floors has light bleeding through in a bad looking way, is there any way to fix this and if not where could I report this to maybe get it fixed

Anyone know I can build something for free, what I mean is I’m trying to build a base but I really really don’t want to go out and get for example 200+ pebblets for foundations etc. I started a new creative game and can just place things but I have an existing survival save that I want to build on does anyone know if I can build like in creative on that save I have changed the game rules to custom but can’t figure out how to do that if I can

I have no idea where these items are needed. How can I find where on the map these materials are needed?
edit: I was able to locate the location where the materials are needed. Can't undo them though as they are too far underground.
