Question Is there an in-universe reason why Green Lanterns can change their uniforms?
More like why the Guardians allow them to change their uniforms? And I don't really mean in the shape and size sense, I mean the purely cosmetic changes. Like why can Guy turn his uniform into a biker vest?

Discussion Was reading a bit of the recent GL run, just wanted to share my thoughts on some of it
I'd like to clarify, I was moreso speed running it and didn't read all of it completely, that wasn't my intention, I just read stuff that caught my eye.
Anyway, Carol trying to be DC's Jean grey with the predator đ? I know she rejects it, but still
AYA!!! She's back!!! That's it, just glad to see her in the comics and getting back with razor
I hated that they made Carol one of those girls who just hops around to another guy until she feels like it. I know that wasn't the intention nor Carol's, but to say "I love you Nathan" only to go "I love hal" is a bitch move and that pisses me off
Uhhh......so og parallax is dead.... but the entities......felt fear and a new parallax was made? I thought the entities could only feel the emotion they represent? I thought parallax couldn't be killed?
Ok so green lantern has basically become Naruto with the tailed beasts because it certainly feels like it
Kyle, I'm sorry, I know you want to be the "better" man, but being "better" doesn't mean letting your girlfriend's GLEEFUL MURDERER, live

Discussion Ranx Appreciation Post
I absolutely love the concept behind Ranx, the idea of a sentient, planetary-sized city is so awesome to me and it being a Yellow Lantern member is so much better. I can totally see a titanic city filled to the brim with criminals and monsters (essentially a planet dedicated to Gotham City) being collectively feared by everyone in the galaxy.
It sucks though that I can't find much on it when it comes to images or otherwise, I don't even know much about how some of its districts or buildings look like, regardless, I adore the sentient city

Comics Reading one Green Lantern comic a day until I've read them all Day 289: Green Lantern (Vol 2) #129
General Fabrikant strikes! Sorta.
Writer: Denny O'Neil
Pencils: Joe Staton
Inks: Frank McLaughlin
Colours: Anthony Tollin
Letters: Todd Klein
Cover: Jim Starlin & Tatjana Wood
"The Attack Of The Star Sapphire" - Hal, as GL, is returning to Ferris Air base in the middle of a thunderstorm. At the same time, a junior test pilot was flying around and goofing off as the jet gets struck by lightning. Luckily Hal was close by and saves the plane and the pilot. On the ground, Hal shoes up in his flying suit as Carol is reprimanding the pilot for fooling around and not coming back when asked. Hal joins in and gives him an earful but is still not impressed by Carol due to Hal's double identity. Hal and Tom joke afterwards about if Carol knew about her own double identity as Star Sapphire. Fabian overheads this and decides its the perfect chance to strike.
At Carol's mansion, Fabian sneaks out in his space suit and breaks into the Coast City Police Museum where he steals the Star Sapphire gem. He forces it on Carol but her mind isn't completely taken over. She is under Fabrikant's control, however, and is ordered to kill Hal Jordan. She finds Hal at his trailer, being harassed by the junior pilot. Hal sees her before she blows up his trailer but Hal was able to knock out the pilot and get him tk safety before it was too late. He teacks her back to the mansion where he finds Fabian still trying to pretend. He reveals he's known already that Fabian is Fabrikant.
Fabrikant, no longer needing a disguise, removes all gear to reveal a yellow jump suit. Hal can't touch Fabrikant and Fabrikant demands Star Sapphire to kill him again. Hal gets free after Carol hesitates and plans a trick. He shoots a burst of blinding light at his enemies which allows him to change from GL to Hal and to make it seem like Fabrikant looks like GL. Since there's two of him, Carol doesn't know who to blast, but shoots at GL who falls out a window. Hal reveals his ruse as the illusion drops. Since Fabrikant is down, his control over Carol is broken. Hal asks if, for the moment, they can just act like the friends they were since this exciting danger has passed and Carol obliges as they watch the stars above them.
Conclusion: The end of Denny O'Neil's run is almost touching. He did a lot for character development and provided so many amazing stories. Despite having Hal and Carol be at odds again, ending it with them in a friendly embrace is perfect.
General Fabrikant felt little more than an annoying shit head. There was tons of build up for him to be a formidable threat and his plan of attack came last minute where he barely did anything. Kind of disappointing, especially for Denny's last issue. I wonder if there was more planned.

Question What exactly are the limits of the Green Lantern ring?(other than just imagination)
Theoretically GL should be the most powerful hero. I mean what's stopping Green Lantern from making something like kryptonite to defeat Superman? An nth metal armor against Thanagarians or Apokolips tech to defeat Darkseid?

Comics Does anyone remember where these two images of Kyle Rayner might have came from?
I have been searching for the past couple of days.
Please help? I will be very grateful.
The same blue coffee cup and domestic setting seem to indicate that the two images are from the same stories?
I suspect that the words in the first image might be GREEN and WONDER WOMAN. Since one word end with EEN, and the other start with WO. So Iâve been searching through Green Lantern and Wonder Woman and Justice League titles.
I have began to do an actual OCR project so that I can scrape the text off large batches of images and try to match the word SORREEEE (the only clue in the second image).
But that would be a lot of work, and I am only in the beginning stage.

Question Sinestro thinks he is morally correct, right?
How can he justify employing this person? âIt will upset the Green lanterns, so itâs chillâ?

Discussion Fan lantern corps
I was thinking up some lantern corp ideas becase I was bored and so I thought about rebellion defiance freedom stuborness as a corp. I came up with some of an oath but I am not very good at rhyming
"In deepest night, in unfair day
we'll stop your wicked unjust ways
against the evil and painful days
we fight for justice you will pay"
I havent gotten an ending yet, I was thinking logicly indigo and violet are taken both being purple-like so if its already got 2 might as well make 3? a neon purple could be cool. also they have the want for change and simmilar ideals to blue lanterns but have a touch of red from the whole fighting for it and the more intense aspects. I'm not sure but thought some of you guys might find this intresting.

Collection Hand painted green lantern ring
Been trying out different techniques on painting some green lantern rings and feel Iâm improving wanted show off some progress. Shout out to EternalMedia on Etsy, bought a bunch of their rings.
For reference the first photo is how they look out of the box
The second photo was my first and very sloppy attempt at painting it, the reason it came out so butt ugly is probably because I tried to use a blend of UV resin and UV powder so I could have that glow and gloss look. Ended up not so great
The least couple photos are my most recent attempt and I think my best attempt, one this I really like about the lanterns ring is the contrast between the the center gem being a bit light then its surrounding.
Might order a couple more of these and keep testing it out but for now I think we got a winner for Halloween!
If anyoneâs got tricks for painting these please let me know!

Discussion The universe is better with the guardians than without it
Yes the guardians have created a lot of problems and it's fun to me on them but let's not forget that they are the only reason why certain threats have an already destroyed the cosmos.
Take the lantern's organization let's analyze what the are guardians doing.
There are single race of aliens that learn multiple languages customs traditions and create environments that are hosting literally thousands of different species with different dietary requirements.
They built magic rings they can fight off most threats in the universe and advanced beings.
Most importantly they give a s*** about other species other than themselves. A lot of beings are very specious and wouldn't help.

Cosplay Lastest ring
Ring number 50.
This one is made from chameleon pla at 40%
This design translate well with fdm printers. This might be the end of my quest for the best STL for fdm prints on lantern rings. Now to get a good filament color.

Question Where to jump in?
Iâve read all the reading orders and different starting points, but Iâm interested in what everyones opinions on the must read runs and which run to start with for someone brand new to GL and really new to the wider DC comics universe (Iâve read tons of Batman but not a single other character).
Do I just start with Emerald Twilight into the Geoff Johns run? Or is it worth backing up to Emerald Dawn or even Grant Morrisonâs run?
Iâm very excited to read Geoff Johnâs run, but want to make sure I understand the GL characters and universe better so I can truly appreciate it for what it does.
