Humor All I’m asking for is a Green Lantern movie with Kyle Chandler as Hal🙏
And Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro, can’t forget my goat either.
Just have the movie set in like 2013 or somethin.

I feel a need to remind so many of you that rule #1 of this subreddit is simply entitled "CIVILITY." If you liked Lanterns or not, insulting others over a difference of opinion isn't a right. It's a privilege. And many of you so-called fans are being downright insulting to people who happen to have a different opinion than yours. I don't care if you liked Lanterns or didn't like it. If you're going to disagree, do so with CIVILITY. This is neither gatekeeping nor toxicity, it is an appeal to civility. Behave yourselves. It's possible to disagree without being insulting.
EDIT: Alright, I misspoke about one thing - the difference between rights and privileges. Yes, I got that wrong on a technical level... but the way some of these people behave, it's an abuse of a right. Freedom of speech is not freedom to be an irresponsible jackass. There's still a social contract. And insults are still a violation of the very first rule of this sub.

inspired by Mogo and the yellow lantern planet sized living city and the purple one, I created some of my own characters
Vodro - red lantern - dwarf planet turned a comet
a dwarf planet that got pissed off by the fact that it wasn't dominant in its orbit got the ring which allowed it to move by itself without need for something else's gravity. still mad it became a giant bullet destroying anything in it's way by going through them at near light speeds
Hcac'von - (former) orange lantern - a gas giant
one of the orange lantern rings got lost in space slowly collecting dust and gasses becoming a core of a gas giant. the ring allowed it to become sapient which led to it's greed making it clash into planets to collect their matter so it's rings would become even larger
Kraxlok Maw - black lantern - Black hole (very obvious I know)
Mentil 5 - blue lantern - a moon
Vi'on - star Sapphire lantern - a nebula (which would make it the largest lantern to ever exist I think)
I don't have any lore for the last 3 or any ideas for the other lantern corps

Playing around in photopea and created this based on the Geoff Johns GL logo. Wanted to share here in case the mods want to use it.

I'm playing with my niece visiting this weekend and decided to dig through an old dusty toy box of mine. Sure enough I find my Kyle Rayner action figure that I used to have. I remember all the good times I used to have before I even understood everything about Green Lantern.

I've been reading the Kyle Rayner green lantern run for the first time and Alan Scott has played a really big role in it as a mentor to Kyle throughout his whole hero journey, its a really cool relationship Alan the first Green lantern and Kyle Rayner (at the time) the last green lantern. He has a closer relationship to Alan than other GLs and I really wish this was explored more in modern issues (also bring back Alexander Nero)

Since pretty much every live-action Green Lantern has been divisive at best, and that nobody has actually attempted to adapt his first appearance uniform (despite other heroes receiving similar treatment) I thought I'd try my hands at this myself.
I'm currently working on a horror-themed GL project featuring Hal Jordan in his early years. I've been cycling through several ideas such as flightsuits, fighter jets, spacesuits (that's been done before though), his bomber jacket, and his Neal Adams suit.
I didn't want to make any drastic changes. I didn't want to add any padding, just wanted something that looks faithful and tries to be accurate. I left the major pieces as they were. I just added some additional creases, subtle trims and broke the waist up so that it looks sleek. The patterns on the torso are inspired from fighter jets. (the back needs a lot of work)
I went for the metallic look because that's the easiest way to make the suit looks more powerful. Though I'd also like to try out other materials if time permits. Maybe fabric that reflects the military vibe of the Corps. Or make improvements on the metalic material, like adding lustre, pearlescent sheen, very subtle, pulsating construct wireframes etc.
What do you think? If you want to share your ideas on how to improve it, I'm all ears

Why did r/LanternsTVseries get so toxic?
From day one/episode one, everyone was at each other's throats.
If you liked the show, it's because you're not a real fan, and you prefer good writing over spectacle.
If you didn't like it, it's because you want a ton of bad CGI fight scenes over character driven drama. And you lack media literacy.
I enjoyed the show, but was really let down by the finale.

Arisia Rrab is one of the most iconic and well-known characters in the Green Lantern universe. Together with the artist EnnexEnne, who created some truly beautiful artwork, we decided to produce a fan-made comic for other fans of the character. It tells an original story about her early adventures in Sector 2815, where she began operating following the death of her father. We opted for a silent narrative, conveying the entire story through the character’s actions rather than words. In this short tale, Arisia must confront a band of space pirates known as the "Worf," who have taken an entire town hostage during one of their raids. On behalf of both myself and the artist, I hope you enjoy it!

Okay, so as time has passed, each Earth Lantern has acquired special abilities.
I understand all the peculiarities, but John's situation is beyond me. I understand that it has to do with the New Gods and that for that reason it can keep constructs alive, but not much beyond that.

I'm loving the great pr that lanterns tv show has done for the corps. People used to look at me me crazy when I said that green lantern comics are some of my favorite. The infamous hal clip of him getting beat up by henchmen was used everywhere to troll his fans.
Hopefully aqua man gets some good representation on the big screen as well.

Tried to do an original design and just went with a flow.
It's kind of a work in progress since im still thinking what to do with the arm (shoulder patches, armor sleeves, etc)
But overall it was so fun to making it straight out of my head.
Let there be light, lanterns:3
