V3 A5 upper + V2 M27 lower. Shes purdy, kinda dont want it but with how importing/prices are doesnt seem like I have a choice. Still a very fun gun nonetheless, and definetly a looker on the field
Experimenting with a more "CAG" optic stack; wilcox riser and a T2. Larue Lt751 is coming in, but going for a more NV capable setup.

So by now, everyone must've heard that the VFC AK is the "BEST GBBR ON THE MARKET", even by people who have never touched one in real life.
Now, I don't like VFC/APFG GBBRs. I have had many and they all performed like shit past 150 feet or so, no matter the mods. Not acceptable for someone who plays outdoors and now with a handicap of low cap mags.
But I do love me an AK and I decided to pick one up myself, because after all, it's the best gbbr you can buy, right?
I have a love hate relationship with the build quality. It's solid. It's steel. Nothing that shouldn't move moves. It's very satisfying to hold, to rack, to insert and remove mags after some work.
The paint holds it back.
They coated this gun in this flat black paint that looks good when you first get it, ugly after you first used it and realized how easily it scratches. The most egregious part is that they covered the bolt and magazine with it too.
Because of this, the gun needs to "break in", ie cycle enough times to scrape the paint off of the contact surfaces on the bolt, leaving disgusting smelling black paint dust all over your internals. This is one of the reasons the 74U bogs down in full auto.
Same thing with the mags, where the lip is to interface with the mag release, depending on how much paint (or even material) is there, it will make the mag get stuck and you have to knock it out with another mag or a hammer.
I've made a post about this and how to fix it..
Personally, I would have loved a classic finish that I could have weathered over whatever paint they decided to go with.
Easily the worst part about this replica. They do hold a lot of gas and 42 rounds, which is sweet, but come with a bunch of annoying flaws.
One of which is that the output valves will likely come dry, causing worse performance. You have to disassemble the magazine to get to the valve, which now you need VFCs valve key or to ruin the one you have now by filing it to fit for whatever reason.
Lubing this valve will fix that issue, but since disassembly, 2 of my mags have now began to leak. Was it my fault? I would say no. The o ring they have on the two that leaks is the old brown one (I believe), and is known to leak. Great.
Initially, cool down when it's 60F is also annoying. Full auto is off the table and one magazine began to sputter after having been fully cleaned, lubed, and properly filled. Semi auto worked just fine.
After some advice/experiences from others, specifically Catgutt, I adjusted the NPAS to lower the FPS a bit, allowing some more gas to the back of the piston, allowing the rifle to perform much better on full auto without rounds in the magazine. Tested in 63 degree ambient temperature with the magazine weighing 420g empty, it didn't slow down for 8 seconds of continuous fire.
With rounds in the magazine, it will get about 3/4ths of the way before slowing. Ill chalk this up to being a GBBR. View my videos in the comments to show what Im talking about.
The transfer bar to press the valve also holds it back. If it gets dirty, expect misfires, whether it's not stopping when empty or stops when there's bbs.
Then there's the whole issue of them getting stuck in the gun and having to file them to make them work as they should have from the start.
Finally, there's the extended mags. The new gas router gives about a 0.2j bump in pressure. People were saying it's too much, but really, the old mags were unoptimized to begin with if the new routers are giving the replica more power. Those should be the new normal and each replica should have the factory npas to give users the option to choose the power level they want to run.
Let me preface this by saying I have swapped in a 4uad bucking and a 210mm unicorn barrel, as I wanted a flush fit barrel for the aura mist and the bucking was ever so slightly torn since I bought it used. I've seen the accuracy videos online, I know to expect pretty nice performance.
The FPS to begin with was 1ish J. Not good for someone in the US who plays out doors with a 1.5j cap. Using 170psi gas didn't help, neither did putting in a longer, tighter barrel. I had to buy a new nozzle with an NPAS and swap out the original for it to get the power I wanted. Why didn't it just come with the npas to begin with?
The performance, after going through the gun and fixing/filing where it should have to begin with, is actually pretty damn good. 60M accuracy flat with 0.4g BBS. Using it in matches was equally as satisfying as I didn't feel held down by my low cap mag handicap. I was pulling off some very impressive shots. Recoil is just as fun, and over all, I had a great time using it.
Is this the best GBBR you can buy right now? No, lmao. It's not. It's competent and fun, but don't expect to go out there and outclass all the others.
Is it fun, accurate, and easy to use once you worked out all the bullshit VFCisms? Yes absolutely. Should I have had to do all of that? No. No I shouldn't. No one should. Fix your shit from the factory VFC.
But the BEST GBBR ON THE MARKET shouldn't need all these little things done to it before getting it up to its potential. My ghetto blaster worked perfectly fine out the box and had the same accuracy at 60m. My c&c tac honey badger has slightly better range than the AK with the same power, bucking, and barrel.
So maybe to people who have only used VFC rifles, yeah, this level of performance is outstanding compared to what else they have out there. But is it the best? No. It's competent, competitive, and is the standard of what a good GBBR should be (after you did all these tweaks to it..). It will not outclass everything else you can buy.
Should you get it? Yeah, I love it and I am waiting to buy the groza too when it comes out.

Hello guys! Im happy to enter the community of airsoft. After my first game I have decided that GBBR would be a worthwhile investment of my money and time.
Probably I should have started with AEGs, but I couldn’t help myself. Having something so purely mechanical with a soul in it just makes me feel happy, despite the problems, which are already there.
I am located in EU, and after some searching, reading reviews and checking my options, I have decided to buy a Double Eagle G106, as multiple times i heard about efficiency and reliability of MWS platform.
This replica was coming together with a mag from the 4th pic (dmag-b4). So here is my first question, is this a decent mag?
I have also ordered 4 more mags (unfortunately i couldn’t get stanags, as they’re sold out almost everywhere in EU at the moment) — MWS EMG Daniel Defense Gen.2 DE. I didn’t find much info about them either, but I assume these are the latest generation mags, and they’re working well with the DE.
Since I’ve got only 5 mags total i have also ordered SPECNA ARMS Transparent M4-Style speedloader, and here is my second question: it is almost impossible for me to fill up mags with it, even though it has an adapter. It took me 5 min to fill up one, and i couldn’t fit more than 21bbs.
So after more research, i’ve decided to order an adapter, as well as some internal parts. And here is my last question: was that a right adapter choice (i heard that STANAGs from TM have different lip shape, so I took a gamble and ordered the one for guns modify PMAG, as it seemed pretty close to mine)? Does anyone know anything about these mags?
Ps. Internals-wise I was following a recommendation from Explosive Enterprises.
TL;DR: New to airsoft, went straight for a GBBR and bought a Double Eagle G106 (MWS platform). I have one DMAG-B4 and four EMG Daniel Defense Gen.2 magazines, but can’t find much information about their reliability. My Specna Arms speedloader struggles to load them (only managed 21 BBs in 5 minutes), so I ordered an adapter designed for Guns Modify PMAGs, hoping the feed lips are similar. Are these magazines any good, did I choose the right adapter, and are there any compatibility issues I should know about?

Release date should be Q4 of 2026 so in the next 2,5 months, but I have not yet seen any specific date or schedule. Has anyone seen more info about it, such as early reviews, showcases...?

Does anyone here know where there’s a reliable place I can order a sling adaptor? Most websites are out of stock or cost an arm and a leg to get them over seas to United States. Any ideas?

VFC MP7 GBB: failure to fire after charging with the magazine inserted following barrel, hop-up and backplate replacement
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone with a VFC MP7 GBB can help me troubleshoot an issue.
I’ve replaced the inner barrel, hop-up and backplate. Since reassembling it, I’ve been experiencing the following:
When it fails, it looks as though the metal part of the bolt visible through the ejection port hasn’t returned fully forward. I’m not sure whether this is related to a feeding issue or the firing mechanism not cocking properly.
I can also reproduce the issue by slowly riding the bolt forward.
Has anyone experienced this same behaviour with a VFC MP7 GBB? What would you check first to identify the cause?
Thanks!

This is the current state of my VFC SCAR-H GBBR. I've changed the setup of this thing probably a hundred times by now, but recently I've been having fun with seeing how many real PMM parts I can get to work. The answer, so far, is all of them (with varying degrees of modification required). Dremels are now an extension of my arm and I am at least 1% zinc/aluminum.
I will post the "final" build once everything arrives.
("Final" because we all know it never really ends)
For anyone particularly interested in undergoing this kind of project:
- All MLOK accessories are, as expected, drop-in.
- Rear QD sling slot is drop-in (getting a front and left handed rear slot soon so I can confirm if they are also drop-in then).
- Picatinny end plate required filing to fit.
- Selectors require the selector cam to be cut to the correct shape.
- BCD required the back piece's bolt catch paddle slot to be slightly enlarged and I removed the slope on the inside of the front piece.
- Magazine release is the most jank part of this. I had no good way to reasonably modify it so I bored out a much larger hole in the back, enlarged the pin holes, and stuck a longer M3 grub screw through it to hold it in place. It technically does work.

So im not too much into air-soft but i am trying to find a good glock 45 clone with MOS. Ive seen a couple but I don’t know much.
Im trying to find a good system I can use for training that replicates the G45 as close as possible

This is my first VT, a Colt Model 723 that i believe is an early production model. It comes with A2 upper & a pencil barrel. The trigger pull on this thing is ridiculously satisfying

Finally got my hands on the gunday ramjet but my first impressions on it werent too good…
I got the aluminum version as my slide is also aluminum and did not expect it to be heavy like the steel version but it is just way too light (the comp + barrel combined is noticably lighter than the stock barrel on its own), I almost thought there wasnt anything in the box when I took delivery of it.
The outer diameter of the barrel itself is also slightly smaller than that of the stock which causes the comp and barrel to wobble more than I’d like it to..
It looks amazing on the gun but I wish they used more material on it to increase the weight and tighter tolerances on the barrel to reduce wobble as the stock GHK has great tolerances relative to GBB pistols..
Does anyone else have the same issues or know any fix?

Looking into getting a saiga 12 but want to increase the fps with stronger gas but without damaging the internals.
I know regular green gas runs around 120 psi, and every test or review I see use .20 and 120-130 green gas, 260-280 fps.
I want to increase the FPS a little higher to reach my fields fps range, 320-360 fps with .20. I know I won’t get that high of a fps but want to get closer to 300+ if possible.
But Idk much so leave your suggestion, want to leave most of the gun stock. Planing on buying a three 90 mags with it, and I do like to shoot fast.
