Help 2002 Taurus Shift Cable?
Hello! Recently bought a 2002 Taurus! The shift cable was snapped so I’m looking to replace the whole cable and bushing. It’s a steer mounted gear shift, I have bought the cable to install it but I’m having a hard time finding walkthroughs or tip videos that would reassure me I’m doing the process right.. anything helps really!

1999 Ford Taurus SE. Sway bar end link issues.
I installed new end links in this thing and forgot to grease them. So I decided to just go ahead and grease them while installed. Ibreached the last. One on the passengers side and the thing would not take grease. I jacked up under the control arm to relieve pressure, changed the angle it was sitting at, heated, and tried forcing grease through. The zerk fitting is working fine. I removed it and tried it by itself. Does anyone know any other way to make this work?

Help Plastic thing hanging from rear view mirror
This piece was hanging from the rear view mirror when I got in my 2008 Sable. I think my son knocked it loose while messing with the dashcam. Both of the numbers show zero results on Google. Any idea what this is and can it be fixed?

2018 Police Interceptor Center Console
Recently bought a 2018 Ford Taurus PI, and naturally, the entire center console is gone.
What are my options?
Do i go to a pick-your-part place and get one out of a civilian model? Is that even possible, if so, what years should I be looking for?
Is there another type of center console that is compatible with this year, like from an Explorer/Edge/Flex etc?
Or do I need to find like an OEM shop online that has them?
Picture is from my driver's seat
Thanks in advance!

Super sad my music doesn't play!
I LOVE my music. Its literally everything to be able to get into my vehicle and listen to music while driving.
I just got a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited and the sound doesn't work for the radio or cd or Bluetooth. I did a speaker test and speakers work fine. I google it and it says common issue with the ACM needing replaced.
I checked fuses, I got a new battery in it, I reset the system. Nothing helps. Do I really need to replace the ACM because that's super costly and I just dont have time to pull apart my dash and send it off to be fixed and put it back in. Anyone else have this issue?!

Hello! New Ford driver.
Hello all, I just recently purchased a used Ford Taurus with 61k miles with only 6 previous drivers. I did pull the car history and everything came back clean, I’m wondering for drivers who have had fords or currently have one, what is the longevity of it? It’s 3.5L V6 engine.
Correction: it’s had 4 owners, I am 5th!

Head replacement, 3.5l
A friend was having the water pump leaking slowly. I offered to help as I have done this twice with success. As he was driving to my home, he had engine failure. The left secondary chain is off. Examining the head, I see a crack in two of the sparkplug tubes.
Has anyone replaced the head with success? If so, did you get a head from a yard, refurbished, or buy new? Is it worth it? It doesn't look as if the pistons are damaged, using a camera.
Thanks.

2017 Limited no audio
Hello. I have a 2017 Taurus Limited with the Sony audio system. There is no audio on am/fm, Sirius, Bluetooth or CD. I can hear the button presses and navigation prompts. I’m guessing it’s either the audio amp in the trunk or the ACM. Anyone else have this problem?

Is this fixable? Or will I need a new upper intake manifold?
Long story short, I was taking my EGR valve off to diagnose an issue I've been having but when undoing the left bolt it caused the intake manifold to crack this piece off. Is this in any way fixable? Or am I stuck buying one from a junkyard? If so what years and models are interchangeable for a 1995 Ford Taurus GL V6 3.0L

Help Skid plate for Ford 2016 Taurus SEL
The engine splash guard/skid plate fell off my Ford Taurus earlier this year and I have been unable to find a replacement. All of the ones that I've ordered haven't fit and I am at a loss about how to find one that does fit without going to the dealership and paying a lot of money for it.
Here are the ones that I have purchased that didn't fit:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRRQ6RG6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
https://www.ebay.com/itm/395563799982
The one from Amazon was the closest to what I remember the original looking like, but it was too small. Attached is the photo the mechanic took when they tried to install it.
I called around to local scrap yards and they all said that they don't sell the skid plates, so that's off that's not a possibility.
Does anyone know where I can find one that actually fits my car?

2005 Taurus SE brake fluid loss
After inspecting all my brakes on my 2005 Taurus SE, I discovered it's leaking at the brake proportioning valve. It seems that item is discontinued. Anybody run into this problem? Is the wrecking yard my only option? Thanks in advanced.

2013 Ford Taurus Please Help 🙏🏼
Hello, I recently bought a 2013 Ford Taurus with only 10,500 miles on it from an Elderly lady close to my family. It’s a great car in decent shape but it sat out for a while on her property and collected a lot of dirt and debris on it. The issue I’m having is when we get very heavy rain fall somehow the water is getting into my overhead liner and then into the center console lights. When I say getting in so mean to the point it’s actually soaked and leaving wet marks on the liner and also leaking out of the light. At first I thought it could be getting into from the sunroof but before this past storm I taped the sunroof completely around ( absolutely terrible idea and was a real pain to get off). During that storm I came out after work and it was soaking wet and leaking again. My next thought was it has to be the windshield, so today I say in the car and had my friend spray around the windshield right on the edges and with pressure and somehow nothing got in. I’m looking for advice or a solution that does not includes taking the entire headliner down because in this car it is a long and really intricate process to do. I also get severe pudding under the cowl on the drivers side. If anyone can help please comment or message me and I Also have pictures showing if anyone needs to see to get a better idea. Thank you in advance John

The last owner had it flushed about a year ago and the 2nd to 3rd shifting issue was already happening I just take off slow and once it gets through the gears its good to go. Or I should say it was. Now the slipping is getting bad. Im about to buy a trans filter get it replaced see.if that helps.... I cant afford to replace the transmission.... anyone else have this issue have any suggestions??

2011 sel seat upgrade
I have a 2011 Sel with the heated leather seats and I was wondering what it would take and if it was possible to swap limited heated and cooled seats into my car. I was also wondering if it could just but the infotainment from a limited or sho to get the cooled seats into buttons.

2015 Ford Taurus situation (advice appreciated)
My 2015 Ford Taurus (3.5L V6, 123k miles)
is currently stranded at a dealership in Louisiana with a leaking internal water pump. The dealership quoted me $4,200 to fix it. I know it's a massive, labor-intensive job because it's behind the timing cover, but the quote is basically the entire trade-in value of the car. My home base is in Georgia (~500 miles away), so I absolutely cannot drive it home like this. I’ve told the dealership to hold off on repairs while I try and decide whether I should tow it back home and sell it or possibly sell it here in Louisiana. Should I look for independent mechanics in Georgia cause I haven’t been able to find any in Louisiana? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Help Steering Assist Fault Service Required - Service AdvanceTrac
I have a 2015 Taurus Limited and am getting this message on the screen. I have completely lost power steering. I checked the fuse, and it looks good, and I am not seeing any power issues. Has anyone else run into this, and how did you fix it?
Everything I am seeing points to a costly trip to the shop. I am hoping this is something I can fix myself.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

2002 Ford Taurus no start move shifter
2002 Ford Taurus
Occasionally won't start unless you move gear shifter
Replaced neutral safety switch, everything is aligned
Replaced the bushings for the column because it has a real loose shifter.
Figured it may have been a security issue since security light would come on and then you wiggle shifter and it would start.
Replaced the key, replaced the transponder ring around the ignition.
Are there any other ideas??
