Hi everyone, I'm 26M in NYC looking to join band or find musicians to play together for fun in hopes of becoming more serious. I've played guitar since I was 13, would like to play mostly alt, shoegaze/heavy shoegaze, dreampop, grunge, indie, etc. I’m based in Brooklyn, and have my own amp and pedalboard. I know of rehearsal studios in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, but looking to start writing with people and jamming so we can play live. Have connects to bookings as well.

Biggest influences (currently) are: Radiohead, Hum, Slowdive, Turnover, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, Men I Trust, LCD Soundsystem, Smashing Pumpkins, but again open to literally anything!

Basically the title, I’m available weekends only since I work a lot and don’t have much going those days, I’m not a beginner nor advanced but slightly less than intermediate on guitar and bass I just started I just want to try to jam with others I primarily like alt/indie music, punk, shoegaze, a little nu metal and 80s Latin rock hmu if interested I just wouldn’t know where to go jam.

Had a great thing going with a singer and it kept falling apart year after year. I have 3 albums worth of material to put vocals and/or lyrics to.

I play guitar, bass, and can fool around on drums and keys. My main personal goal is to be a producer and make killer songs to somehow sell. I like playing local gigs and would be happy playing full band. I’ve already got a bassist/cellist that writes and sings as well.

The music is very Americana Rock. Some stuff is straight country. Some is hard rock. Some are ballads. It’s Eagles meets Queen meets Tom Petty meets Black Crowes meets Chris Stapleton meets Alabama Shakes meets Florence and the Machine.

I just want to get back to it because I’ve got all this stuff going to waste.

Heyhey, I've been wanting to find some other musicians to hang out and play with. I'm 19, I've been playing for ~7 years, my theory is alright (kind of), and my technical skill is pretty good, I guess. I usually play finger style and I can play slap decently well, if I need to. I have about 2 or 3 years of gigging experience from playing in small clubs/venues in the area. I'm an okay writer, but I think I'm better when I'm bouncing off ideas with someone else.

I like to play stuff from king crimson, tool, tally hall, primus, destroy boys, bad waitress, nirvana, and vial. I have more experience playing in punk and alt rock/metal, but I can try out other genres.

All I ask, if anyone considers me, is no AI stuff and to not be a bigot. I'm trans and just want an environment where that's okay.
