Concerts Concert etiquette
Dear concert and showgoers, let’s talk about show etiquette. I love live music and I’ve been going to shows for about 20 years. The last five or so have felt different, and not in a great way. I’d love to get people back on the same page so live music can be enjoyable for everyone again.
Here’s what I’ve got.
Please don’t record the entire show. If a song hits you and you want a quick clip, totally fine. But now it feels like everyone is filming nonstop, and unless you’re in the front row you end up watching the show through a wall of phones. If your people aren’t there, that moment wasn’t meant for them. It was meant for you.
If you’re trying to move closer, keep moving. Don’t wedge yourself between two people who clearly don’t have space and then just stand there awkwardly. Either keep going or go back. If you find an actual open spot where you’re not on top of someone, great, stay there.
Please don’t have full blown conversations through the whole show, especially in the front rows. Talk about the band, the moment, the energy, sure. But I don’t need to hear every detail of your weekly drama yelled over the music I paid to hear. Get dinner beforehand, vent after, but the middle of the set isn’t the place.
This one might just be a small‑person problem, but people treat my size like I’m a convenient doorway. Need a drink, need the bathroom, need to get back to your friends, and suddenly I’m the designated gap in the crowd. Then it’s constant stepping on my toes, bumping into me, spilling drinks, breaking my focus. I take up less space, so people assume that space is theirs to use. It gets old fast.
I know posts like this can make the poster sound cranky, so I want to preface it by saying I absolutely will move if I need to. If someone around me is making the experience miserable, I’ll relocate without a problem. The issue now is that so many people are doing these things that it doesn’t matter where you move. You end up running into the same behavior everywhere
Your turn. What would you love to remind people about when it comes to basic human etiquette at shows and events?

Concerts Selling 2 of my tickets on AXS, is this normal? (Not selling here)
Due to a miscommunication with family I bought 4 tickets but now only need 2, I went to list them for resale and it says £0 payout if sold... Hoping it's just an error and I'm not going to lose £250

Discussion 🗣️ Do you wear ear protection to live music events/gigs?
Hey, i'm really trying to narrow my research in why hearing damage is on the rise and how a lot of Gen Z don't wear hearing protection to gigs/live music events. If you are happy to comment, pls let me know if you do wear hearing protection and if you don't - why. I'm trying to narrow it down to which gender is more and less likely to wear hearing protection. As statistics state Gen Z women are less likely but all i see and hear are Gen Z men saying they don't want to wear them. Thanks in advance!!
I do have a quick 1-2 minuets survey if anyone fancied also! Thanks again :)

Concerts Stubhub pregunta y consejos

Concerts Complicated harness I want to wear
I have a concert coming up, this is the fit but I’m terrified security will take it away when I have to go through the metal detector. Could I just have it in my hands when getting checked at the door and put it back on in the venue or should I just not take it at all??

Concerts admitone.com
is this a good website to buy from? I want to to buy the lil peep 30th anniversary show tickets and this is the only website I can do that from. On lilpeep.com it says Toronto is sold out but admit one still has floor on sale.

Concerts Footage of TLC performance at the Observatory.
May be a long shot but I made it to the big screen when Turnstile was finishing up TLC.
I got to the front, climbed the rail and had the camera right in my face so I went feral like any other person would.
It was near the end if not when the song was ending.
I have long hair, a beard, and was a black shirt with a big cartoon skull on it.
It was just a life changing experience and I’m hoping someone might have footage/pics or know a way I could get a hold of it?
I’ve been dming peoples uploads at a chance and even emailed the venue.
If you think you have something let me know! One love!

Concerts Hilary Duff’s Unplugged Performance – A Concert I’d Love to Experience Live
I have to admit, I’ve come across Hilary Duff’s music several times over the years, but her original recordings never really caught my attention all that much. They always sounded like fairly ordinary mainstream pop, and I usually skipped them. But then I discovered this unplugged performance, and I was absolutely blown away.
Check Hilary Duff at GRAMMY Museum since I can't post links here.
The beautiful string arrangements, violins, guitars, backing vocals, carefully selected drums, and the entire band playing together take these songs to a completely different level. Suddenly, there’s so much warmth, depth, emotion, and musical richness. It’s simply fantastic! The lyrics could still benefit from a little more depth and subtlety, particularly by moving away from some of the overly simplistic sexual references, but musically, this is something truly special.
This is exactly the kind of concert I would love to experience live. Not a massive stadium production with giant screens, fireworks, and thousands of people, where the visual spectacle often seems more important than the music itself. I would much rather sit in a beautiful concert hall and listen to exceptional musicians performing these wonderful arrangements, with every instrument and every harmony given the space it deserves.
I would genuinely be willing to travel a long way to experience something like this. It would be such a shame if performances of this quality were limited to occasional private, invitation-only events.
I sincerely hope someone from Hilary Duff’s team, or perhaps Atlantic Records, happens to read this. I’m convinced there’s a substantial audience out there who would love to experience this kind of performance — people who come for the music itself rather than the spectacle. Something along the lines of the wonderful MTV Unplugged concerts we used to have, where musicianship, beautiful arrangements, and genuine live performances took center stage.
If anyone has even the slightest hint about whether such concerts might happen, please let me know, even via a private message. I’d be incredibly grateful. 🎻❤️

Concerts Surprising my daughter (11f) w/ first concert. What do I need to know?
I purchased last minute tickets to KATSEYE tomorrow and beyond ear protection what else can I do to make sure we are ready for this concert? We have decent seats so she’ll be able to see the stage. But is there any special items fans bring to their concerts or do?

Concerts Need help with entire sections of missing purchasable seats in AXS.
Hey folks!
So, fair warning: I don't go to a lot of shows and so I don't use AXS often, so I don't know if what I'm about to describe is a common thing for AXS or venues to do.
Double fair warning so as to be clear with the rules: I'm NOT asking for anyone to sell me their tickets, and I'm NOT attempting to advertise for this show I'll be talking about.

I'm looking to try to go to The Smashing Pumpkins in Las Vegas on the 30th of this month, and over the last few weeks I've been checking the ticket maps as I ask my friends about who want to go.
While of course some seats have been taken here and there, in literally every other section except the sections I was looking at (207-212, & 222-227) are just completely gone outside of the rare few resale tickets. Every other section looks around the same, just the seats in the previously mentioned sections are completely missing.
So... Did they get hit by scalpers? Were they reserved by the venue? Is there a glitch?
I'm going to try to contact support in the morning to see what they say but if seats are moving that fast or even being reserved for in person sales then I really want to grab seats through official means as soon as I possibly can.
Any help at all is SUPER appreciated, whether it's troubleshooting or sharing similar experiences. Thank you so much guys!

Discussion 🗣️ What makes a venue great?
I live in LA where we have some iconic, but at times frustrating venues.
The Bowl is as good as it gets, but parking and concessions suck.
The Greek is a much better layout, but the drive up is a hassle.
The Palladium is legendary, but the ambient light never gives you a low enough dark point for incredible show design and lighting.
What venues have you been to that are great and why is that?

Discussion 🗣️ Stadium Arenas
For seeing a music artist in a sports type venue, do you prefer box seats that have the luxury of space , amenities and overall view? Or is the pit or closer rows near to the stage with its immersive and seeing the artist[s] without a jumbo screen more the way to go? Does this vary depending on artist type (musician, vocal versus performance )?
Trying to decide where to spend my money and attention for upcoming concerts TIA!

Concerts Olivia Rodrigo Columbus N2 – Question About Switching Seats!
I’m taking my two daughters (13 and 15) to see Olivia on night two in Columbus! 💜
I was able to get tickets for all three of us, but the seats aren’t exactly together. I have two seats directly in front of/behind each other, and our third seat is in the same row as one of those, but with two seats in between.
We’re also way up in the nosebleed section, if that makes any difference! 😂
My question is, do you think the two people sitting between us would be willing to slide down a seat or two so I can sit next to my daughter?
Obviously, I wouldn’t expect anyone to give up a better seat or move to a different section. I’m just hoping we can rearrange a little so we’re together!
Has anyone had luck asking people to switch seats at a concert? I’m probably overthinking this, but I’d really love to be able to sit with my girls! 💜

Discussion 🗣️ Why does axs say this when listing tickets?
Has anyone seen this before? I'm trying to list some tickets for sale that I got to recouperate what I bought them for as I need the money for something else now but when I go to list it it lists the payout if sold at $0.00 which can't be right. Is it because the tickets are a VIP ticket/part of a VIP package?
Thanks!

Discussion 🗣️ QUESTION!! how do i properly ask for an upgraded seat?
okay so i’m going to to my first concert ever tomorrow at the charlotte spectrum center and i have seats but they’re kinda ass; but i see on ticketmaster that there’s so many available seats so that leads to to suspect that an upgrade is possible. the only issue is that i have no clue how to ask, who to ask, or where to even go, like i said this is my first concert lol. so i was wondering if anyone could help me out in possibly getting an upgraded seat for tomorrows concert? tysm!! and if this sounds far fetch, pls give me grace because once again this is my first concert!!
(btw if there are any glaring typos in this pls disregard, i wrote this at 8 am and i haven’t been to bed yet lmao)

Concerts why do some tickets increase at the last minute, and remain at such an inflated price even after the show has started.
so disappointed, wanted to see charli xcx but the nosebleed prices are 300 even tho the opener, underscores, is already on stage at the time i’m writing this post.

Concerts What time should I arrive at Hackney Church for The Mountain Goats' London show?
It's my first time seeing them, and it's also my first time attending a show with unreserved seating/general admission. Our tickets are in the unreserved upstairs seated balcony. I'm quite short so I usually have alot of difficulty when I'm sat behind someone, so would like to be somewhere in the front row of the seated balcony. I don't mind a side view, just as long as I don't have someone in front of me. Is 18:20 a decent time to arrive and queue up for a good seat in the balcony? Edit: doors at 7pm, there's 1 opening act

Concerts Is it peculiar behavior to want to go to a concert with just my cousin? He mentioned he wants to ask his friend to come
My cousin and I discussed going to a concert together and I said I’m down to go, but later mentioned he’s going to ask a friend too
Apart from anything else, I’m purely curious if it’s out of ordinary to prefer just going with my cousin alone. I’m new to concerts haha

Concerts Yndling
Only gig for me this week! Went to see Yndling at the tiny Rainbow Basement in Digbeth, Birmingham a couple oof days ago. Was really really good. Almost went to see LSD and the search for God the next night but work rosters made it difficult tbh.
