Breaking into Investment research & transaction advisory from an annuity role; resume feedback and career advice?
I currently work full time supporting internal wholesalers by analyzing annuity replacements, comparing fees, riders, and product features. I’m trying to break into business valuation, equity research, M&A or similar and have had 1 final round interview for a valuation analyst role but did not secure an offer.
I’ve attached my resume. I have equity research, student investment fund, and valuation modeling experience. Is my background competitive for entry-level roles? What would you change about my resume or prioritize to improve my chances?
I am also earning my FINRA 7 license and am planning on enrolling in the FMVA certification.
Any honest feedback is appreciated!
