Career advice
What are job opportunities after doing acca. Like I've seen some videos on it but what's ground reality. Is it difficult to find jobs even after passing all 13 papers? What's the success rate and average salary. And is it saturated field?

Is a CPA worth it if end goal is working remote for US company somewhere else and why?
Obviously its worth it but how likely is it to find a fully remote job that will allow me to work from anywhere?

IRS Postmark Policy - Form 8840
Please delete or recommend subreddit if this isn’t the place (I couldn’t really find a good one).
Does anyone know if the IRS foreign-postmark policy (IRM 3.10.72.6.2(4), Rev. Rul. 2002-23) treat a Form 8840 filed by itself as timely if it’s postmarked in Canada by June 15?
Asking for my parents as they’re snowbirds. Many thanks!

Started your own accounting practice? I’d love to hear what you learned
Hey all, I'm a chartered accountant thinking about starting my own small practice. Before I jump in, I'd love to learn from people who've already done it.
If you've started your own firm, I'd really appreciate any of these:
- What's one thing you wish you'd known before starting?
- What was your most expensive early mistake?
- How do you price? Fixed fees, hourly, value-based? How did you stop undercharging?
- How did you land your first 5–10 clients?
Even a one-line answer helps. And if anyone's open to a quick 20–30 minute call down the line, I'd be grateful. I'm not selling anything, just trying to do this properly.
Thanks in advance.
