Avid fan of Final Fantasy, making it a point to get the Collector’s Editions if possible. Wasn’t able to snag a preorder slot for Resonance but the fiancée surprised me with this!!! 😍😍😍

Resonance holds a special place because the mobile version was a way to escape the stress of professional school. Can’t wait to start playing later!

Her Mechabo evolution quests have you hunt the rarest enemy in each region, with the spot it shows you having like a 60% chance of spawning the enemy. And like a 30% chance of spawning Cactaurs.

In the desert the green Cactaurs give a lot of MR, while the silver ones by the forge give 2500 XP a pop and also a lot of MR

Just wanted to let people know about a hidden item (Black Garb) thats found in the castle only while its on fire.

After beating the hell rider or whatever that boss is called if you had left you should see a knight statue, if you walk into the statue you'll enter a hidden room with a chest containing the black garb!

As far as i am aware, its only obtainable during this sequence of the game as after the story in the castle you will be unable to get back into the castle cause "its being repaired" so if you dont want to miss an item make sure you grab this before continuing onto the main boss of the castle on fire section.

It provides +26 Defense, +23 Magic? Or Magic Defense? & +8 Speed

Definitely having a blast. But im for sure blowing through pheonix downs like crazy in every boss fight.

Some pro tips that's helping me if anyone else is also struggling

• Get deathblow on everyone. It doesnt miss during stagger. So during your damage windows you get guaranteed crits which really help wear enemies down (and restore MP if you have that ability)

• You can use Terras double damage ability on Finas limit burst. It should be in the bottom. When she gets limit bursts she can chunk for a good 4-6k

• Utilize rain to protect all to save yourself from a wipe. If a big hit is coming just accept the fact that you lost rain. He'll take ×4 damage and die but the rest of your team is at least alive to revive him

Hope you guys are having a good time! Let me know if you guys found some broken combos with visions yet. So far Noctis seems super underwhelming but his 25% evade chance works well on Rain. I also dig the auto bravery. Helps in overworld battles a ton cuz some regular mobs are so tanky

Okay yall, I honestly thought I wasnt going to enjoy this game. I really thought "I already played this game." And i didnt need the story. Then I played the demo. It limited my ability to play effectively, till the game came out. . . . And oh my goodness, I honestly think I feel like Im playing the mobile game, just on the switch. Im okay with it. It took some getting use to, but I am only playing on expert, and im realizing, just into Ramuh that there's a tiny bit of strategy and leveling required to do. I love it, and actually feel like this is an example of a good Final Fantasy (Personal opinion).

So far, Im grinding Lid's visions out before taking on Ramuh -.- (playing my way!)

Don’t really have time to play the story so I’m mindlessly grinding cactuars only for the 78 AP, Rain has the Master Ring equipped so it makes sense that he’s ahead, but why is Lasswell so far behind? They all started at the exact same exp and have been battling together the whole time.

So I’m fighting the second esper on the second continent. He absolutely is clapping me in expert. My party is lvl 15 except for Lid who’s only levels up once. Has anyone beat it yet? Wondering if I need to come back after continuing the main story

God damn beautiful. The two main blades (Crimson Saber and Purple Lightning) and Fina's now, Bahamut, the archsorceress (no spoil on her name), the crystals, the water reflections. Truly breathtaking. Strangely, this one was not credited in the post.

Having played the demo and getting well and truly absorbed into the game... The full game is... Amazing.

Hearing the music from all the old games when you enter the sanctum... Just reminds me of far more simpler times... Nothing but the game. Happy times.

Right after the events of the Dwarven forge. They spawn in this spoit under this bridge, 2500 exp each.

Just finished a heavy gym session, got cleaned up, downed my post-workout protein, and settled into the chair right as the game unlocked.

I actually had my progress from the demo ready to transfer over, but something about starting completely fresh on Expert difficulty for those bonus MRPs just felt right. If we're going to dive back into Lapis, we might as well make it a proper challenge from minute one. :-)

How is everyone else tackling day one? Did you guys carry your demo save over, or are you joining the fresh Expert run club?

EDIT: Just finished today's session after reaching Martira and getting my first two visions at level 6 on expert mode. It took me 2 hrs and 13 minutes of in-game time. Do you guys know you can enter the hidden backdoor behind the inn in Martira for a treasure chest?
