8 Month Post-Prune Update

Hi All, I had made a post back in February this year asking how to cut back an old fig tree I inherited when I bought my house last year in Southern California. The tree was about 20-30 feet tall before I cut it back. I promised I would make an update at the end of the season on how it grew back. Well 8 months later, it grew back even taller than it was before. There are some small fruit on it but they usually shrivel up and fall off before they look ripe. Not really sure what to do with this tree. It drops a ton of leaves at the end of the season and there’s not really much producing from it. I’m debating on removing it and replacing it with a new fig, or maybe taking some cuttings and replacing it with a fresh cutting from the same tree. Thoughts?

Would this fruit mature and ripen, or is it a fluke?

Question Hello from Bangalore! I am looking for big dried figs, size around 48-50mm

What do I search for online, to find this big or bigger figs.

I found same sized at loyal world market but it's priced at 3750 inr per kg (like 40 usd per kg)

Other varieties in bangalore are around 1500-2000 per kilo only.

So looking for more sources for that big fig.

Not sure if it's the right sub.

We have never pruned our tree. Can I prune it now? We are in Southern California. I would like to start sprouts to give away. Any advice?
