Discussion It has been months, are the resources spent on newbsec a completely waste?
Do people actually use them? What kind special benefit does it server normal highsecs won't?

No. I will not play x4.
If you want a single ship experience, why don't you play elite dangerous!
I like that skilling into additional capsuleers is growth. I only wish it were streamlined easier in one client so I do not need 64gb of RAM to run my clients.
Controlling multiple characters is not cheating.
Baldurs gate 3 is exactly that. Did it take away from the experience of the game?
Eve is special to me because you can control a fleet.
If you choose one ship. Fine. If you control 20. Thats still fine. It's a sandbox and you choose how to build however you like.

Are single boxers ruining this game? Those of us that multibox contribute more to the in game economy, to FCCP's income, and participate with more in game content.
We have alts in WHs, Ns, Fw, and Hs, while single boxers don't.
Us multiboxers help keep ship and module prices lower by using our alts for mining and industry.
Single boxers are the real issue. They refuse to contribute to the game. FCCP should ban them.
Mandatory three subscriptions per person.

Genuinely, as the title says. Is multiboxing killing or saving the game?
I seen so many posts complaining about multiboxing killing the game and newbros can't compete.
And I agree to a point.
But what are the REAL player counts?
I have 3 toons, my main and 2 that are inly used for mining/gas huffing and cynos.
But I play with many players with over 15 accounts.
Now when the server says there are 20,000 players online. How many of those are individual accounts and how many come from 1 launcher?
So if multiboxers are counted by accounts online, then they are keeping the gamecafloat by inflating numbers. So in turn are actually saving the game.
Plus lets be honest, Devs are making areas where you need to multibox to succeed.
What are people's thoughts?

why should people not fill this downtime with other characters?
how do other mmos solve this issue?
these are always the questions i have when i see people complain and/or are for multiboxing

The argument could be made that the economy is so competitive that it could considered Players versus Player but that's not what you mean, you're talking about shooting and blowing each other up
What is it that makes you try to cram the vast sandbox of New Eden into Call of Duty in space?
Edit: I concede, EVE is a PvP focused game, even if the actual game mechanics supports all sorts of non-combative behaviour, you always have PvP on your mind even if it is in an evasive way
Separating mechanics and gameplay from mindset and perspective made me realize that even while not engaging in combat, it's still ubiquitous, thus making it a PvP game by any and all definitions
Big thanks to u/themule71 and everyone else who joined in on the discussion

I lose alot of ships in eve (mostly bcs im in hostile space) and lose alot of isk due to that. Upon other things (LSI when i have the spare isk) does anyone have tips for good income in low sec. Ratting i find is good income but at my current skill rating its not the most efficient. Any tips on income methods?

Im looking for a only combat ship to clear the sleepers in sleeper sites in Wormhole space. Want to do these with a friend. So one is only for hacking and finding the sites and the other one is for clearing them.

Things may get better as the holiday seasons for October, maybe even more spooky stuff for The Vanguard and EVE Online connection.

I'm kind of new to eve but moved to a region around delve, and every time I hear news about it or sneak around it, I become really glad I live in slightly more civilized lands. It seems like they're always being attacked by big power blocks and also decide to fight amongst themselves just as much. I know WOMP is becoming pretty big to the east as well and imperium is coming from the south? Why does it look like a war torn country that makes me feel like I need to donate isk to feed the inhabitants. What are the political forces at play?

It must be almost 20 years since I watched Clear Skies, saw the Widow decloak, heard the words “Cloaker Freak”, and thought “one day...”. Finally, JDC V is top of the skill queue.
I don’t really have a use for a BLOPS, but I’m at least going to do a couple of jumps then park or sell the thing. So, I want to jump into a certain quiet low sec system (no station) that is close to my heart, and get back to high sec.
On my second account I have two characters with Cyno V. I think the plan is...
Is this about right, or have I really misunderstood something? Anything else I should know?
In general, if I get the option, would I rather jump into tether range at a freeport, or to a deep safe?

Hello, I saw a 2 years old vid about eve, specifically doing 5 toons factional warfare sites for the pirates so I enlisted and all that, but can't find any small/medium 5 man sites, are they deleted from the game or ppl just rush to do them? Many thanks

Can we please have accepting contracts to split stacks of items? I would love this for distributing stacks of materials for PI planets. It still is insane amount of work to do PI even after the templates.
When requesting materials with character A from character B if character B has the materials the contract is not going to go through unless the requested materials are in exact stack as requested. The game isn't splitting it for us.
Why request? Because you can not paste from clipboard to send stuff but you can paste from clipboard whilst requesting stuff.
Why paste from clipboard? Repetitive contracts where you always want to send the exact same amount of stuff is easy to be put on a chart what you can copy.
What would be a better idea than all this:
-FC giving us the ability to send an already sent out contract again so not having to paste it from clipboards all the time (this option still would require them to put in the ability for the contracts to split stacks)
Tl;dr: I am tired, boss.
