Pretty cool

i love seattles current scene (juno togiak, my better half, the may after, foxglove, stars paint the sky, no leaders please, dear eleanor) , but i dont rlly know any older bands that come from here (besides lync, unwound, and juno but those are more post hardcore than emo). specifically 2nd wave/ screamo stuff would be awesome but im open to all

Trying to get into the spirit of the season, any other cool Halloween music videos?

How does everyone feel about their upcoming album?

I have two VIP tickets for the December 4th show in St. Pete at Jannus for sale. We won't be able to make the show due to traveling conflicts.

One is the platinum VIP Magic the Gathering experience and one is the gold VIP experience. Both are sold out.

I'm not able to split them up, unfortunately, so both tickets will need to be sold together.

I'm just wanting to get my money back on them so will be selling them at what I paid.

Please DM if interested.

I've always liked American Football but I recently found the band Midwest Pen Pals and thought their guitar kinda sounded similar to American Football. I really like the kinda sound the guitar in both bands have and I was wondering if there was more bands like that? I'm sure there is but I wouldn't know how i would find it so im asking here!

emo girl and emo boy on pomegranate stained pizza box

thank you for looking!

Hello all

I wanted to share a link to my old bands EP that was recorded over 20 years ago

Someone had recently uploaded it to their YouTube account and it got a surprising amount of positive comments, likes, and views.

After such a positive reaction we have decided to release it on Spotify.

We also lost our guitarist unexpectedly a few months back and we thought this would be a good way in honoring his memory.

In 20 years people change and it's interesting to see how this music represented us and the opportunity to reach a new audience

Thank you

The Devil Faces of My Old Friends Beneath Me is 11 years old, but sounds like something that would’ve come out in the past few years. You can hear so much GFx3C, godfuck, & gingerbee in that album. It’s incredible to think that in 2015 an emo band was experimenting with what today we’d call hyperpop-esque production. Were they the first ones in emo to pull a Sleigh Bells and use tons of digital sampling and intentionally overblown bass? Or am I forgetting someone who they would’ve gotten that from? They feel to me like a band that was so far ahead of the curve they don’t get the credit they deserve.

Part 3 of my three part essay on the origins of American Football is up now on my substack: https://substack.com/home/post/p-221333425

Part 1 is the origin story (teenage punk rock years when Mike and I were in high school, cap'n jazz era) - https://substack.com/@steveholmesaf/p-219450490

Part 2 is the origin of American Football during the LP1 era - https://substack.com/@steveholmesaf/p-220102060

Part 3 is about getting the band back together in 2014

Cheers,
Steve

Why has one the greatest emo bands in history not come back? Severely underrated and so good. A reunion show would be nuts.

Came across this video today and was reminded how great they were live. Pollyanna rips so hard. Nogalstia x100.
