General Adam Savage talks good and bad 18650 batteries(the cells that make up your scooter battery pack), with some reps from a company who CT scanned and discharge tested thousands of 18650 cells.

Some good info here about the physical and capacity differences of all types of battery cells.

This scooter just checks off almost everything off my list Joyor T10. The faster I get the scooter the more I want an upgrade to an even faster one.

After just a couple of weeks the scooter begins to feel slow although it’s dual motor 1000W 60V 18Ah. Who else feels like they’re chasing the dragon!?

Been soon 6 month with my Teverun Supreme Ultra 2.0, 4000km, mostly offroading

I still get around 110km/h top speed, i could get more on a really long stretch, funny that there isn't that big of a diff top speed wise with the 13" wheels 90A controller big brother

The longest ride my body can sustain in a day atm is 80km, when i do that at 100% going very high speeds, i usually come home with between 55 to 60%, so you can guess that i charge very rarely this machine, i have got like 25 charge cycle total to attain those 4000km, i rarely see it that way but i am damaging less my battery long term since a charge get me 140 to 180km

+ in 4 month of hard riding i never ever saw the motors going above 65°C, and thats considering i am climbing mountains with a 600m slope at 95km/h often, any speed you can attain, any length of ride, impossible to make it go higher in temp, its basically babying the battery to drain only 10KW from it

Absolutely nothing failed, nor brakes, nor suspensions, nor steering damper nor display, absolutely nothing, not even a damn scratch, only thing i needed to do regularly is tighten the steering damper bracket and the display

I have owned easily 50 different electric scooters in my life, mostly expensive one, i even currently own 6 different ones, the Supreme Ultra is by far the best one i ever owned, i have the money to buy any scooter i want and no ammount of money could bring me this ammount of comfort + speed + range + software possibilities + compact package, that's truly the ultimate machine to my taste, i highly advise it if you can live with a 63kg beast

This is what i sent in with my warranty claim. Have you guys had this happen this soon? Also this is a pain in the ARSE to work on (7260 v6)

I have a video of it smoking but I cant upload it for some reason. Here's what I told the warranty department.

Not sure if all the pictures came through but the harness for the motors and parts of the smaller harness is totally destroyed. To be honest this is a bit shocking to me. Is this a regular occurrence? Is it something I possibly did? Like I said before the scooter only has 10 miles on it. Not blaming anyone but for a $4000 scooter im kind of at a loss for words.

I messed with the settings a little bit but I have no real idea what im doing in there so I didnt really mess with anything. ONLY 10 MILES ON IT!!!

I have been debating on pulling the trigger on the Gspace for about 2 years now after riding my Nami Klima almost daily. Decided to take a look at my local shop and I couldn’t resist. Yes I know the newer 7660 and 8440 look very appealing but this was such a good deal for a tried and tested scooter I couldn’t pass it up. This was their floor model and it is in basically mint condition with low kms. Can’t wait to go for long night rides with the boys. If you own a mars let me know any advice or tips to make this thing even better or even just how you like yours. Would love to chat Mars 😀😀😀

General Recherche trottinette électrique pour trajet quotidien

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for an electric scooter for my daily commute to work. My journey is around 3–4 km, with a small uphill section (6–8% incline over 300 m) on the way there. I'd also like something that's easy to fold and relatively lightweight, as I'll often be taking it on public transport.

I'm not looking for anything particularly fast or powerful, just a reliable, safe scooter that will last me a long time.

I've already done a bit of research into the different features, especially when it comes to maintenance. From what I've read, solid tires seem to be a better option (even if they're less comfortable), and having at least some water resistance is important.

That being said, I'm still a bit lost with all the different models available and the mixed reviews and opinions out there...

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences you could share!

P.S. My maximum budget is €300, ideally less if possible! ^^

Tech Support Noises on brand new scooter.

Hi everyone, got my very first electric scooter, the Segway GT3 Pro.

  1. I noticed a rubbing sound very similar to a bicycle disc brake rubbing. It only happens when I’m slowing down right before stopping. Is there a break-in period for a new scooter for the brakes to settle? I saw a video on how to realign the caliper but I don’t want to do any of that unless I absolutely have to.

  2. In the video you can hear quite a bit of creaking and clanking, is this normal on the Segway GT3 Pro? I’m assuming it’s just the plastics creaking and clunking over the road.

  3. I’ve noticed the tire pressure on both front and rear wheels to be deflating quite quickly. Pumped it to 30F/35R per GT3 Pro recommendations and it went down about 5 psi both wheels overnight. Tried 40F/40R and when I got home I rechecked and it was at 30/35. I have a Milwaukee portable tire inflator as well as a smaller portable inflator for a bike. I purchased a valve extender and locking tire chuck so I’m not twisting the pump onto the valve to mitigate air escaping.

I’ve never owned an e-scooter before so I want to make sure these are all issues I can and should fix immediately.

Thanks

Tech Support Got tired of the tiny turn signal switch on GT3 Series, so I fixed it myself. 🚀

A small upgrade that makes a noticeable difference.

After several prototypes and refinements, I developed this custom turn signal switch upgrade for the Segway GT3 series.

Designed for improved ergonomics, a more comfortable feel, and a better overall riding experience.

Buying advice What e-scooter should I get?

I currently have a Xiaomi electric scooter 1S that I don't use anymore since it doesn't offer much range compared to when I first got it, and because I'm currently adapting it to comply with new Italian laws.

I was thinking about the Xiaomi electric scooter 5 mostly because it's relatively cheap and offers great autonomy, however I'm open to different brands.

REQUESTS

Must haves:

- ≥ 40km range (about 25 miles)

- 25 kmh max speed (about 15 mph)

- turn signals integrated

- front suspension

Really appreciated:

- double suspension system

- ≥ 60km range (about 37 miles)

Appreciated but not essential

- TCS

Budget 400/450€ (~450/500$)

General What would riding an electric scooter everyday look like?

If you use an electric scooter as your regular commuter around your entire town then you would need to think long term about your purchasing decision.

If you ride the scooter a lot everyday like for more than 1 hour you’ll probably need something with a long range battery and a very strong sturdy build quality.

That means you probably won’t be able to carry your electric scooter upstairs and if you wanna take the scooter out of town you’re gonna need help from a friend who owns a truck.

It also means you’ll most likely need a whole lot of money saved up to buy an electric scooter like $4,000 or possibly more. Like a serious amount of money. If you’re going to buy an electric scooter and use it on the regular as your everyday personal vehicle.

The other option is you could try to buy a car or a motorcycle but that will be way more expensive and it’s a much more complicated process than just spending $4,000 On an electric scooter.

You'll have to get a drivers license, register the vehicle, find insurance for it, buy gas, and just do a lot of extra stuff. Which is a lot harder and more stressful than buying a crazy scooter like the Segway GT3 pro or the Solar Hyperion RST.

So getting a car or motorcycle is probably like $30,000 and I bet the process is a pain in the ass. I have seen cars at Ford and auto stores and all the prices are above $10,000 significantly. The prices are through the roof and there’s no way you’re gonna have that type of money.

Especially not out of your pocket.

$4,000 or $5,000 could get you a car but it’ll probably be a shitty one. My older brother bought a car in the past, his car was automatically leaking and he almost wasted $20 at the gas station

Tech Support E2 error

So i'm trying to fix my nephew's e. Scooter its presenting an E2 error i've tried unplugging the motor unplugging the power i've replaced the throttle, and sometimes it'll read the throttle, and I can press it. And hear signal going to the motor the motor will hiccup. Go for a sec, then flash E2 again it's a really cheapo model a Roinside UP2G but without it, he can't get to school should I keep trying to figure it out or should I just let his mom know that she needs to cough up for another escooter i'm using a lot of money on gas helping to drop him off any insights would be awesome

General What firmware Cfw configuration do you recommend for the F3 Pro?

What firmware configuration do you recommend for the F3 Pro?

Hi, community. I'm writing to ask what configuration you recommend. My priority isn't higher speed—it's greater climbing power—since the area where I ride has several hills, and the current torque isn't powerful enough.

General Does anyone actually use high speeds?

I was originally considering buying a 30mph Segway Ninebot model, but ended up getting a 15mph E2 model because I found one marked half off.
This is my first e-scooter, and I normally bike.
Even going at only 15mph, it feels wildly unstable unless I’m on perfectly fresh asphalt, and the tiniest crack can mess me up.
Going 30mph would have to be suicidal.
Does anyone actually use those speeds?
