I live in the Old Town, and have numerous times told tourists to get out of my private garden, and they look at you as if you're some sort of alien. Are they actually real life NPCs? I also once witnessed one using my bird bath to wash her face - any body else putting up with shit like this?

Hi all,
I live in the Southside and for the last few nights there have been some balaclava-clad guys dressed all in black wandering up and down our road in the wee small hours. Several people have caught them on cameras coming onto their drives with tools, but no break-ins yet; although it seems clear theyāre up to no good they havenāt actually committed a crime yet. On this basis, what if anything can one do? Clearly not a 999 call but is it worth contacting 101 so Police Scotland can build up an intelligence picture of whatās happening, or is this likely to be a waste of everybodyās time? Quite unnerving to know that they seem to be probing for a house to break into. The neighbourhood WhatsApp group is characteristically breaking out in panic but with no seemingly actionable or sensible solutions (not sure we should be recruiting vigilante posses from the semi-retired nor sending up checkpointsā¦). Thanks

Okay let me try this again :,)) (I wrote epic con last time...š¤¦āāļø)
Hello!! My friend who was supposed to come with me for Saturday (24th Oct) to Comic Con ended up getting tickets for Sunday instead due to them being sold out :(( and I dont particularly want to go alone on Saturday.
If anyone wants a companion I'd love to tag along! I usually like to go through the merch stalls to try and find keychains, stickers and posters relevant to what ive been fixated on lately.
Im also going to cosplay!
Im 27 and use he/his pronouns. Very chill guy.

Iām moving into a rented 1 bed basement flat in Canonmills next week. Flat is EPC D, north facing, single glazed windows in the living room and bedroom that donāt open and electric heating.
A little anxious about the move but needed a flat urgently. I know that part of Edinburgh has a few flats like that and I wanted tips and advice on how to avoid mould, survive the winter and not amass a massive electricity bill (which i understand is next to impossible) and other things I need to keep in mind of. Thank you in advance š

Hey everyone! Iāll be moving to Edinburgh soon, Iām in my mid 20s (F) and Iām looking for a gym to join.
Iām a beginner, I used to run and do strength training but it has been a while. I would like to get back into it again and also have the option of joining yoga classes that are beginner friendly and welcoming.
Iām looking for an affordable gym (up to Ā£50 per month) with the least gym bros possible & a friendly vibe. If anyone has recommendations please send them my way

Weād really love to plant a tree or have some kind of memorial thing on Blackford Hill or the parkland around it, in memory of a family member that we lost - Blackford hill v. signicant. Iām assuming this would need permission and there would be a process, if itās even at all possible. Would anybody know how weād go about exploring this? Thanks

Hi all, Iām relocating from Essex up to Edinburgh early in 2027.
Iām likely to live, initially, somewhere along the West Craigās/Gyle/Corstophine/Roseburn corridor.
Will be looking to establish new social connections so am interested in any clubs/groups that meet in these areas.
Main interests are music, theatre, walking football, social choirs. Also interested in whether there are any running groups that offer ābeginnersā events as looking to try and start running a bit more as well.
Oh, and I love a pub quiz!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

I remember watching a Michael McIntyre sketch years ago about him going down to Leith when he went to Edinburgh Uni, to score some hash. There was a line in it about āsome Chinese guy is at the doorā and something about an electric fire
Cannot find it anywhere online.
Does anybody else remember it?

Basically as the title - I've had intermittent TMD issues, and a nightime bite guard, for years. My NHS dentist reckons the bite guard is fine. But recently I've had awful "toothache" that moves from to top bottom teeth and earache plus jaw pain all on one side that took me out of action for 24 hours. Joint and massetter muscles were painful even to gently touch. Plus the other month I did a wee bit of snorkeling and after my jaw was agony and actually locked up totally for a few minutes. So clearly it's time to get a bit more proactive here!
I'll be asking my GP for a referral but that might take an age (or they'll tell me to go and ask my dentist - ditto) or generate advice to do what I've already tried - painkillers, heat/cold packs, bite guard, relaxation, soft foods, TMJ exercises... So meanwhile I'm prepared to spend some money - but where?
I'm leaning towards a physio as I think it's tied in with tight neck muscles and shoulder issues / posture.
Has anyone used Edinburgh Sports & Spinal Physio - they seem to specialise in TMD - for this sort of thing?
Or had a good experience eslewhere? I'm prepared to consider anywhere in Edinburgh and area that's doable by public transport!
Thanks for any pointers (or warnings). (No chiropractor recommendations please!)

Hey, living in Edinburgh, is there anyone from Edinburgh who is excited about AI and build with AI.
