In celebration of season 2, I want to talk about an underrated aspect about the season 1’s ending that made it so memorable.

The fact when you realize the story was slowly building into repeating and making a parallel of the very tragedy that kickstarted the whole story, coming together full-circle.

David’s tragedy started by his mom coming up to Arasaka Tower to fix his mess with his school, for his attempt at trying to bypass the system for trying to help his mom and their burdened lives without her knowledge. And in the end, it was for nothing, as his mom went to his school, and in doing so, became a victim of Night City’s slaughter while under the pretense of saving him from his mess.

Now, 10 episodes later, you realize throughout the last half, Lucy was actively trying to work at fooling and resisting the system, protecting David without his knowledge, only to get herself caught. And now David has to be the one to go to Arasaka tower, save Lucy from her mess, and become a victim of Night City’s slaughter, just like his mother before him.

And both end with the saviors placing their hopes and dreams on the people they saved, before meeting their demise, and leaving their loved ones in a downward depressing spiral where those dreams were the last thing in their minds.

Sapien female who’s been born out of her mother’s womb & inhales oxygen to her lungs just to exhale out carbon dioxide in the ozone layer for the rest of her life until the right side of her cerebrum, which allows her to express emotion and the right side of her ribcage gets heavily crushed from a being who’s made of alloys that are fused together from transition and reactive metals from the periodic table which leads to her nervous system shutting down, thus resulting in the end of her life with all brain matter exposed. All she ever wanted was a canis lupus familiaris at its youthful age and ice cream made from milk, cream, and sugar used on a cone-shaped product made from wheat with a homo sapien male with a paramedic jacket and an artificial spinal cord on his back.

I feel like D is going to be the first one from the crew to die.

I'm trying to place myself in Roman's shoes as a Kid basically following a series of mass destruction and killings where we closely follow the characters who are at the centre of it and somehow he doesn't get caught in the crossfire?

That's extremely unrealistic, children and innocent people get killed everyday from less and I'm supposed to expect that an organic kid with no powers holding a camera survives through 10 episodes of brutal warfare?
