The reference was a picture of him in his youth

Trying to draw a creepy vibe in this portrait sketch. It was fun to revisit this old drawing. Any feedbacks appreciated :)

Edit: First image is redraw

This is new for me. For years I've been frustrated attempting photo realism and failing. I was competent when I was younger; when I had ample time and focus to practice. But I'm a lot older now and that effort never seems to equal the output. So I've started spending an hour or two every night just putting pencil to paper instead of doom scrolling. Sometimes I'm happy with the results. Sometimes it's just lines. But I'm starting to enjoy the time spent making them.

A quick and effortless drawing from our tallest canid, the aguará guazú. Inktober. Gangly.

It's not much, but I'm trying to learn something new.

First time looking into techniques, brushes and how to do digital too.

Any tips?

Did this using mostly charcoal, gotta say its such a fun medium!!

first time drawing a pokemon, used 0.7 mechanical pencil took 3-4 hours

I want to be one of those people who can draw a good face from memory, we'll get there one day!

Constructive criticism appreciated
