I launched the games through the Wii menu for a few weeks before realizing the time played tracker thingy doesn't work if I don't start the games directly from the emulator UI. Is there a way to edit the time played value? I can see the true playtime in my save file (at least in a few of the games), so it's no big deal really, but it would be nice if I could manually change the values to reflect reality.

Edit: I've found the TimePlayed.ini file, but I have no idea how to interpret, or change, the information found in it.

Edit 2: Thanks to Raidenchino I managed to correct my playtime! TimePlayed.ini concists of the game ID codes and time in milliseconds as a hexadecimal value. So first I figured out that game codes corresponded to the games I wanted to edit, and then I used a hexadecimal converter to get what I should paste instead.

Example:

I've played 8 hours, 48 minutes and 19 seconds (31,699,000 in milliseconds) of Endless Ocean (game ID: RFBP01). The converter told me that 31699000 in hexadecimal is 1E3B038. Looking at how the file padded the values I then changed the line to say: RFBP01 = 0x0000000001e3b038 (that's 0x000000000 followed by the converted time) and then the playtime was correct when I started Dolphin after that!

If you follow my example and you've played a lot more (or a lot less) you might end up with a longer or shorter time value - and then you need to either add or remove some zeros - the main thing, I'm guessing, is that all lines are the same length for it to work.

These are all the music tracks, the rest are soundbytes of the emcee. Is there a way to listen to these to find out which one it is? I assume the beta track is still within the game files since people found it in the first place.

Does anybody have current info to get the MotionPlus working via dolphinbar? I've tried the "MotionPlusConnected = True" hack but the code has changed and it doesn't seem to work anymore. Anybody have any other tips?

I've downloaded Dolphin on my other computer with no issues, but for some reason, I get this every time I try to download it on this one. Idrk what it means or how else to fix it but I've tried installing and reinstalling a bunch of different times and with different versions. Any tips? I just wanna play my copy of Windwaker, man 😭😭

is there any way to change my motion control settings to continuously emulate motion input? I have had this issue in other games before but I can't pass this level without fixing it now. Any help is appreciated!

In my pc it goes from 20 to 14 fps in the first mission and i have been trying to fix it and its the only game where that happens it’s running very slowly and keeps freezing I've been trying with open gl, vulkan and direct 11 and 12 with and without overclock speed with and without MMU and changing the ubershaders but nothing seems to work or i don't know how to mix the configurations i have amd graphics and a ryzen 7 in my pc in case that helps.

I recently just jailbroke my PS4 and got some of my roms onto Dolphin but I'm having issues with it reading the roms. Like I have Paper Mario TYD and it's hack Book of Mario Thousands of door. The emulator says there's two disks and going into the Root folder of my PS4 and the original game and the hack are two separate ISOs and the titles are different.

The same also goes for Pokemon XD but in the other way. For some reason it reads it as 2 disks, 2 separate ISOs in the root folder. But it's playing the XG Next Gen Hack instead of the main game. Is there anything I'm missing in settings?

Its my first time using an emulator I was trying to play Mario but the game looks like this What could i do to fix this?

EDIT: This Issue was solved by u/TheEvilStapler, Apparently if you live somewhere that changed their timezone (often by removing Daylight savings) on Windows, then Dolphin gets bugged. I just changed my timezone to an older one and it worked. So all the Albertans, Manitobans, and apparently Northwest Territorians who may be facing this issue right now, there you go.

I don't know where else to go at this point, so here is the issue.

As the title says, I can't open any game in dolphin, it seems like whenever I try, it can't even load the first frame of the game, Wii or GameCube (rvz, iso, ciso, none worked, and all shut dolphin down in the same way). Not only does this close the game, but also the Dolphin window that I opened it with. And unfortunately there is no error message that comes with it, it just shuts down.
I have tried basically everything to fix it (that I know of).

I have...

1. Restarted my computer.
2. Removed everything in my user folder
3. Updated Dolphin (which did need updating, but did not solve the issue)
4. Download the correct VC_redist.x64 and then restarted my computer. (allowed me to update dolphin, but still did not fix the issue)
5. Disabled Dual Core
6. Tried every backend graphics option (Direct 3D 11, Direct 3D 12, Vulkan, Open GL, etc.)
7. Internal resolution set to native
8. Deleted Dolphin off my computer, and reinstalled it
9. Set the Audio Backend to no audio output to see if it was an audio error (it wasn't)
10. Triple checked my driver (it is up to date, and has run dolphin in the past)
11. Unplugged my controllers just in case

An probably a few other things.

I am running this on Windows 11, and this is my graphics card: AMD Radeon(TM) 860M Graphics

This error happened both on Dolphin 2606, as well as the updated one 2609a.

No other thing on my computer has not worked, this Dolphin issue is the only thing that it can't do right now, let me know if anyone has any ideas of the source of this problem. I will give any further information if needed.

People keep telling me that Wii games run on Dolphin so well it feels like a native port, but every time I launch a game on Dolphin (the recent example being Silent Hill Shattered Memories), I run into all sorts of slowdowns, graphical glitches, permanent input lag, even while using the safest and most recommended settings possible. Yes, there is relatively stable fps and graphics are mostly accurate, but it doesn’t make these huge issues disappear.

Also, settings are overly complicated for a mouse and keyboard user. You can’t map two keyboard buttons to same function without manually typing comma between some variables (why do I have to “code” to set up controls?) ; there is no obvious way to map Wii-mote rotation to “holding a keyboard button while moving a mouse”.

I understand that enthusiasts are doing this for free, but is there something wrong with my computer or my brain, or do people just deal with the same issues and still consider emulation to be equivalent to the native version in their discussions?

This post is not intended to be disrespectful. I acknowledge the fact that devs are doing it for free and do not owe me anything, but I just don’t get why something so unpolished would be recommended so much to regular users who just want to play an old game, without the necessary disclaimers and warnings about having to waste a lot of time dealing with these issues, which persist throughout the years.

I've heard that Dolphin's performance on these android based emulated systems isn't that great but I feel like it's gotten even worse recently. Without even touching my settings games that used to run like a dream when I first got it now stutter and occasionally crash, namely things like Soul Calibur 2, NBA Street Volume 2, and Bloody Roar Primal Fury. GameCube used to be the best bet performance wise but now PS2 games are the ones that work smoothly for me.

Anybody have any tips on what settings I can tweak or if there's a specific older version of the emulator I should install instead?
