In india we didn't have dolls that came with a lot of accessories, or maybe my parents could not afford those. Today I was going through my childhood stuff and I see all kinds of things I have made for my dolls. I used dense thermocol for these. They didn't lack any basic necessities 🤭🤭

Now let’s discuss it, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Personally I don’t see the price increase justifiable for essentially the exact same doll design years later, I don’t see how a faux fur Stola or an inch longer hair can drive the price so much. Further more the music muse body was first used with the Mariah Carey doll so the excuse that the new body mold is part of the cost production does not add up here, the music muse doll body mold was already available and would have not affected the cost in production, the articulation is also the same as the model muse body, respectfully.

Granted both dolls are pretty you can’t deny this here, one has more realistic facepaint where the other is definitely more cartoonish, that comes definitely to a person choice of preference here.

Wicked Glamified Elphaba Thropp Doll

$75.00

Enter the glamorous world of Universal Pictures’ Wicked, as seen through the eyes of the movie’s award-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell! He created this custom look for Elphaba, inspired by the movement and texture of mushrooms growing out of a mossy tree and infused with the drama of asymmetrical plumage. Elphaba’s jaw-dropping ensemble evokes the dynamic shapes found within nature while staying true to the mystery surrounding the Wicked Witch of the West. A high-collar bolero, angular matte-black dimensional bodice, and voluminous structured organza skirt shield her like a couture cape, accented by her stylized hat and heels. The deep black fabric evolves into a gentle pink, just like Elphaba’s strong exterior softens after a chance encounter turns into a lasting friendship.

The perfectly pink ensemble radiates ethereal elegance, while the organic curves found throughout her gown highlight Glinda the Good’s femininity. A dramatic mermaid silhouette lays the foundation for spellbinding embellishments to shine. The glamorous gal’s crown and heels are fantabulous final touches. They aren't the price I'm comfortable with paying for them but they are cute. If I can find them half off again I would get them

Xian Xian David is such a looker in person. Somebody pointed out the head is yellower than the body but maybe it’s the lighting but I couldn’t see it 😭

I was literally there RIGHT at 12pm EST and they sold out on me 😭 Powder sold out while I was waiting in line and Polish sold out on the checkout screen

All three sold out within a minute

Blaze counts because of her Freddy sweater.

Against all odds, financial responsibility, and several personal threats against the universe, I have officially collected all six Mirror Mi dolls.

Suki was practically a mythical creature, and ironically, Amora, whose entire personality revolves around love, made herself the hardest bitch to love because apparently she didn't want to be found.

But they're all here. All six. Together. Looking expensive and silently judging the person who financially ruined himself to reunite them.

I'm absolutely obsessed. I'm freaking out. I've stared at them for an unreasonable amount of time. I may actually need to be sedated.

Anyway, my collection is complete. My serotonin is thriving. My bank account has requested a restraining order.

10/10. Would emotionally destabilize myself again. 🎀🖤

Now I just need to convince my boyfriend to let me keep them in the bedroom. He says having six little women watching us sleep is unsettling. I told him to stop making our daughters uncomfortable.

They promised us weekly updates, then took that back but promised no more “silence without explanation”. They’ve posted only one “update” on the website in August that seemed like a lengthy AI generated void filler without any real context or updates. Genuinely what is happening and why is everything so messy?

How can small collectors like me ever feel like they’re supporting a creator when I have to battle bots? It’s so upsetting. I really wanted one of them to show my support for Pidgin Doll.

I had my hopes up seeing I had 2 minutes of estimated wait time. I thought I could beat the bots. I really did 🥹

I’m a writer and character designer professionally. I’m so passionate about the Gen5 doll design, but I’ve equally enjoyed writing her backstory and making content for her (shared on *nstagram and T\kTok both @SheisGen5 ✨ ).* This is a video we made to show the Gen5 doll features while keeping things in her time traveling robot world. All have a slightly metaphoric, techy sounding title, but the only one that isn’t a physical play feature is her Empathic Core… that’s just her character, she’s a kind hearted robot 💜

I have them all in my cart I was hopeful, this is the first time I was trying to buy a competitive doll from Atomic, and as I waited to cash out I watched each drop from my cart until 0 were left.

I hope this shows the demand, and they are able to increase future releases. I know part of Pidgin doll is that they are beautiful and rare so they will not want to over saturate but for some of us this would be our first opportunity to get a pidgin doll, the OOAK dolls are above my belt for what I can stomach in a go. I tried for all three knowing one or two may drop from my cart.

Congrats to those who were lucky enough to land a doll. They are all incredibly beautiful and I hope you treasure them.

This is a week after the Jason dolls I pre-ordered were also canceled!

I recently purchased some of the mini dolls from the Mirror Mi line, and they were so cute I had to turn them into keychains! Now they live rent free on my purse with my mini La La Loopsy doll!

Thanks for looking! 😊

I managed to get these two! Lucked out on the blonde. Who else?!

I'm dying for her 🥺🥺🥺 but we do have the Mini Mirror Mi's :D

I'm literally devastated. I got to go on break at 11:58 AM ET. I'm on the website. I have the Pidgin Powder doll in my cart and then I'm waiting in the virtual line for like 2 minutes and at 12:01 the doll is Sold out or "almost sold out" but they won't let me purchase it.

I'm literally so sad. I was in love with this doll. And the fact that I was right there bothers me so much. I'm almost in tears.

I hope there's a possible chance they saw how popular it was and maybe do a second release of these dolls.

And I hope whatever scalpers bought her choke on a startburst.
