Now let’s discuss it, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Personally I don’t see the price increase justifiable for essentially the exact same doll design years later, I don’t see how a faux fur Stola or an inch longer hair can drive the price so much. Further more the music muse body was first used with the Mariah Carey doll so the excuse that the new body mold is part of the cost production does not add up here, the music muse doll body mold was already available and would have not affected the cost in production, the articulation is also the same as the model muse body, respectfully.

Granted both dolls are pretty you can’t deny this here, one has more realistic facepaint where the other is definitely more cartoonish, that comes definitely to a person choice of preference here.

In india we didn't have dolls that came with a lot of accessories, or maybe my parents could not afford those. Today I was going through my childhood stuff and I see all kinds of things I have made for my dolls. I used dense thermocol for these. They didn't lack any basic necessities 🤭🤭

I bought this doll at an estate sale and have been really loving her, but I’m getting frustrated at what seems to be an attempt at a peekaboo haircut? The first photo is some of the hairs, these are the ones that stick out, the others are buried in her longer hair. I’m also struggling to determine if her bangs were done by the creator or the pervious owner. She has no branding on her anywhere and I can’t find any dolls that look similar. I want to avoid a full new ‘do if possible, I really enjoy the length and texture of her hair, but if the only option to get it how I want is the reroot (or wig..?) I’ll start researching how.

I’m a writer and character designer professionally. I’m so passionate about the Gen5 doll design, but I’ve equally enjoyed writing her backstory and making content for her (shared on *nstagram and T\kTok both @SheisGen5 ✨ ).* This is a video we made to show the Gen5 doll features while keeping things in her time traveling robot world. All have a slightly metaphoric, techy sounding title, but the only one that isn’t a physical play feature is her Empathic Core… that’s just her character, she’s a kind hearted robot 💜

Against all odds, financial responsibility, and several personal threats against the universe, I have officially collected all six Mirror Mi dolls.

Suki was practically a mythical creature, and ironically, Amora, whose entire personality revolves around love, made herself the hardest bitch to love because apparently she didn't want to be found.

But they're all here. All six. Together. Looking expensive and silently judging the person who financially ruined himself to reunite them.

I'm absolutely obsessed. I'm freaking out. I've stared at them for an unreasonable amount of time. I may actually need to be sedated.

Anyway, my collection is complete. My serotonin is thriving. My bank account has requested a restraining order.

Now I just need to convince my boyfriend to let me keep them in the bedroom. He says having six little women watching us sleep is unsettling. I told him to stop making our daughters uncomfortable.

They promised us weekly updates, then took that back but promised no more “silence without explanation”. They’ve posted only one “update” on the website in August that seemed like a lengthy AI generated void filler without any real context or updates. Genuinely what is happening and why is everything so messy?

How can small collectors like me ever feel like they’re supporting a creator when I have to battle bots? It’s so upsetting. I really wanted one of them to show my support for Pidgin Doll.

I had my hopes up seeing I had 2 minutes of estimated wait time. I thought I could beat the bots. I really did 🥹

I have them all in my cart I was hopeful, this is the first time I was trying to buy a competitive doll from Atomic, and as I waited to cash out I watched each drop from my cart until 0 were left.

I hope this shows the demand, and they are able to increase future releases. I know part of Pidgin doll is that they are beautiful and rare so they will not want to over saturate but for some of us this would be our first opportunity to get a pidgin doll, the OOAK dolls are above my belt for what I can stomach in a go. I tried for all three knowing one or two may drop from my cart.

I recently purchased some of the mini dolls from the Mirror Mi line, and they were so cute I had to turn them into keychains! Now they live rent free on my purse with my mini La La Loopsy doll!
