I am almost done with the recreation of my Dungeon Tiles.
Version 2 is going to be be the best I have ever made.
And in this latest video I announce my biggest undertaking yet: A fully digital Dungeon Builder with my tiles as the foundation. Build your own dungeons, print the pieces, or play in the dungeon online with your friends.

Recently posted my concept for a tavern scene as a quest board for one shots between campaigns. Here are recent minis made into a scene of two pairs of brothers with some prompts I came up with. Disclosure: I’ve never DM’d and barely started playing D&D so this may be a dumb idea and not how it works at all. It’s been really hard for my group to meet up so just filling the time between trying to learn and get the courage to run something one day. I Invite all suggestions and constructive criticisms since I’m just solo’ing this with help from books and YouTube😅
The Copperbelly Brothers - some drown their sorrows in barrels of ale, some fight them.
Once a legendary fighter, older brother Brokk has never been the same after the slaughter of his company at Moonstone Gap. Now he drowns his troubles in ale and picks fights with anything that looks at him sideways, including furniture. His younger brother Doben, now the captain of the town guard spends his days cleaning up Brokk’s messes which includes an open tab here at the Side Track Inn….for all the barrels he busts and climbs into each night. At least it makes him easier to roll home once he passes out. Tonight, Doben can barely get his first ale before Brokk is already squaring up with a barrel; but Doben knows under all these drunken antics lies a painful secret about the battle that destroyed his brother’s company and his desperate attempts to forget it all.
The Timbletwick Twins: Matt has the brains, Morrick has the limbs, together they almost make one whole Timbletwick..almost. Orphaned as children, twin brothers Matt and Morrick have survived by combining Matt’s sharp wit and Morricks brutish strength. Years ago, Matt lost his limbs saving Morrick in a magical accident in an abandoned artificers workshop. Since then Morrick carries his brother from town to town, barely scraping a living together through odd jobs and clever schemes. Through it all, the brothers are inseparable. Morrick still blames himself for Matt losing his limbs, Matt has never blamed him once. They own almost nothing but Matt insists he feels like the richest man alive and more complete than ever as long as Morrick is by his side. Tonight, Matt watches in amusement as Morrick triumphantly drinks from his boot after the bartender cut him off for the night. Neither realize that someone here tonight just might know of the machine responsible of Matt’s condition and that what’s now gone may not be lost forever.
Thanks for dropping by the Side Track Inn

Our DM is taking a DM break and a player now. So I am suddenly a DM and I absolutely still need to learn to not overdo things 😬. My three sessions so far had: terrain (which I had made before and our DM used), painted minis, physical props like a scroll, and a smoke machine...

My players loved it. I ended up scrapping the disc and just used a torso of a character as the screamer part of the vehicle. The last picture is my reference from the module. And I linked the original post https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDIY/s/BtX5RL18rO

A few weeks ago, someone shared a neat idea for making dungeon tiles by rubbing a printed plate with a crayon or pencil. But I wanted something I could use more generally, so I thought I'd try making just some grids that you could apply your own textures to, and figured 1in squares and hexagons would be a good place to start

Customized a Vasily39 design to make this dice and gear box that looks like an old book. I added some gold filagree and a coiled dragon tongue cover. The inside is lined with felt and foam to protect everything.

Made this Medieval Cathedral dice Tray from a 2ZCreativeLab design. I stained the background wood in Phantom Gray and also used textured granite spray paint for the outer layers. Magnetic closures to secure the storage box.

Made this phone holder in the style of an Egyptian temple from a slightly modified Vasily39 design. Stained in yellow and blue with a little bit of red for the custom torches.

Running a sort of sequel to Out of the Abyss in my DnD 5.5e campaign. Did a few sessions with some fun DIY setups.
-Climbing up the cliff to infiltrate the fortress with a piece of sheet metal and spiders stuck to the side with magnets.
-A large setup with foam stone blocks and 3D printed suspension bridge, stalactite tower, TV map with a "hydroarcanical" dam, and the drider lair with hanging wire spider nest.

Used coin holders with a wooden coin to put inside.. used a 1 inch circle punch and made some tokens!!
I also printed enemy art (so you can fold it into a triangle) and taped it to the bases.
Super easy, cheap, and reusable and changeable.
I highly recommend for any new DM who doesn’t have a ton to spend on minis.

Quick and cheap paper props for my mini (1cm grid) traveling games. They might not be the most detailed but they're step above the wonky drawings from before! Paper, pastel coloured highlighters, eraser stamps for the textures, glue and magnetic tape. And the trees are more stamps on magnetic printer paper with more magnets for trunks. A whole (A4) game board full of props that won't get knocked over by stray gust of wind done in one afternoon! And the whole lot packs flat and fits into an envelope.

I'm not a pro and it has a ton of imperfect spots, but I really like how it came out.
I'm sure you can find this somewhere online to 3d print if you want. But I will warn you that the large spot south west, as well as the opening next to it counter clockwise (where the mini with the hammer stands) throw out dice which inevitably land on the floor. It was driving everyone at the table mad, so I wanted to fix it!
I had lots of ideas, but I thought turning it into a small diorama of a party facing a beholder would be wicked cool. We have one guy clutching his bleeding sides, a spell caster petrified by the beholder's eye ray. Another just being downed by its death ray, while the last one stands defiantly for one last battle.

Firstly, I know this sub is mostly for in-person, physical objects. I play online over Roll20. But I need the kind of creative solutions that DIY-ers like yourselves are good at, so I hope this post isn't too out of place.
I have an ambitious idea for a one-shot that involves my players creating a world as they travel through it. At certain points, they will be asked questions that shape the new world being born. "You see a terrifying creature, what does it look like?" "You find the perfect place to rest, describe it to me." Now I'm wondering how to handle the battlemap.
Of course, the easiest way would just be to rely on theater of the mind. But I enjoy making detailed maps. My other thought is to try and make as many "themes" ahead of time as I can think of and just pull out whatever is closest in the moment--a desert map, a swamp map, a city map, etc. Does anyone have any other ideas?

My kids didn't use the mountain of magnetic tiles I bought for them so I turned them into dnd terrain for my table! The set includes day and night variants of each type.
I'm currently working on the town and paths, and will release them for free as well when they're done.
The grid is 1.5in (2x2 square on 3in tile) but can put the 1in grid on if anyone is interested.
Free download here - I hope you like it! After the town set what should I work on next?
Designed, printed, and painted by me for my campaign.
Note that the STL is available for free: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/medieval-merchant-ship-the-darkentide

After months of modeling, my new ruin set is finally finished. This is by far the largest scenery project I’ve ever painted, and the whole painting process took around 10 days. Painting all those stones, wooden beams, and rooftops was quite a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.
Hope you guys enjoy it! Let me know what you think!
It's currently live on Kickstarter, you can follow the link if you’d like to see more details!
