Discussion New to DNB Production
I have recently got into producing drum and bass tracks. I have uploaded a few tracks on SoundCloud which are all sample based. Would anyone be willing to give some tips or feedback? Feel like the hardest two things are giving the overall sound enough depth and structuring the song itself. Any pointers would be appreciated.
EDIT:
Forgot to include SoundCloud

New Release Melodic Drum & Bass live by the Black Sea | Digitakt II
A little outdoor Drum & Bass session from the Black Sea coast in Ukraine 🌊
Playing melodic DnB live on my Elektron Digitakt II, surrounded by the sea and a beautiful sunset.
All drums, bass and melodies coming from one groovebox. No laptop, just hardware and the moment.
Hope you enjoy the atmosphere!

If you would've made me ID this, I had definitely said Kimyan (Law).

Chase & Status - Never Enough, Just a Bad Mix of Turnstile and Hanumankind – Big Dawgs
Like the title says. I heard the song come up on Charlie Tee's Radio 1 show and immediately heard the Big Dawgs synth come on thinking they were doing a remix. Instead we got this weird mix of Turnstile and Big Dawgs - so they just threw a drum track on and called it done? I get that sampling is a big part of what they do, but this is just mashing two songs together with no cohesion and calling it their own.

What would you recommend for mixing and producing DnB. I am torn between the krk rokit 5 G3 and G4.

I built a free site where a label page shows everything, not just the releases. Here’s Souped Up
Been DJing D&B since the 90s and got fed up jumping between Beatport, YouTube, Skiddle and SoundCloud to follow a label properly.
So I built DNBHQ. Free, no ads, no sign up needed. Each label page has every release, every artist on it, their upcoming gigs with tickets, and their sets you can play right on the page.
Souped Up as an example:
https://www.dnbhq.com/label/1384720
Still building it, so I'd love to know what's missing or what you'd want on it.

Delta Heavy Mixing Live Q
When I head home for Thanksgiving I’ll have a chance to see Delta Heavy in Philly at a really small venue with my sister. They’ll play a 2 hour set. I’m a little older now, but my sister and I used to attend dnb shows whenever we could through the 2010s. One of our favorite nights was when Logistics tore down DC in a tiny venue maybe 8 years ago. I remember thinking that a longer set (90+ minutes), an unpretentious space and tiny crowd gives djs license to play sets that showcase their talent on the decks by giving the crowd what it needs when it needs it while mixing in and out of subgenres.
I‘ve seen some dancefloor djs thrive in that space (old school culture shock ftw!) but I have no clue what Delta Heavy‘s reputation is at the moment. I feel like my taste has graduated some from aggressive dancefloor but I don’t get to go to shows very often with my sister anymore as we are in our 30s and in different parts of the country.
Will it be worth going? Are they legit enough on the decks to deliver the goods for 2 hours?
