Bedroom Looking for help for the layout of my box room

Post image
• Upvotes

I've been in this room my whole life and it has always felt small, but since graduating I have run out of space completely as I have to store everything including my kitchen and bathroom items from university.

I drew the layout of my room as best as I could on canva, but I'm no architecture student so I'm sure there's many inaccuracies.

My current desk is custom made to fit the corner but the chair gets in the way of opening my wardrobe. I also get bothered that the sun shines right in my face in the morning but not sure if there's any possible alternative as there would be a radiator and the angled wall in the way if I turned it around.

Just looking for help to make my room feel more tolerable to live in until I can afford to move out, any advice is really appreciated 😊!!

Bathroom Bathroom tile selection??

Hey all. Need some help choosing bathroom tiles for our new apartment.

We've chosen to go with the slide 1 tiles for the whole house, which I'm so happy with. But the problem is with the bathrooms. I'm tossing up between slides 2 and 3. I really love 2 but I'm worried it might clash with the rest of the house, while 3 is also quite nice and maybe more cohesive?? Idk what to do. Maybe neither of them are suitable?

We won't be living in it full-time, just when we head overseas to visit family. Thanks in advance.

Bedroom how can i improve the layout of my bedroom?

Thumbnail gallery

the images shown here were made by me, using an app i found. its supposed to represent (an approximation of) my bedroom. one thing to note is that in between my mini storage drawer / nightstand and my bed, lies a ventilation duct thus eliminating the possibility of my bed being rotated 90 degrees to the right. *(i also have a bunch of plushies against the wall on my bed, another reason why its been positioned in the corner, though im willing to relocate said plushies elsewhere as long as it improves my day to day and overall ends in the decluttering of my room)

i feel like everything is always in the wrong spot, or cluttered and i seriously need some advice. gaming is a part of my every day life, so ideally id have an area for gaming / my awake area (shown as the desk). my "closet" is a completely open closet with nothing but a wardrobe and an upper storage area filled with some boxes. (possible to hang some curtains) unfortunately, i do not have measurements nor the tools to acquire them..

for desk positioning, ive tried fitting it into the closet, but my desk is too wide.

is anyone willing to take on this task with me? PLEASE
im open to answering questions as well, so if i left something out please inform me.

I love our sofa and feature wall, but they seem to be very distinct. Are there some cushions or throws or something I can add to make the two "gel" better?

Bathroom How to best cover the window?

We aren’t sure what to do with this bathroom. We’ve explored smart film but that would require pretty risky drilling of the tiled window then fishing the wire into the attic.
We plan to hang a small chandelier above the tub. The view isn’t anything special but we don’t want to commit to frosted glass film over it all the time.
My wife’s style of the home, I believe, is transitional.
We do plan to change the vanity lights.

Other Interior Room Help with this weird little corner in studio apartment

Post image

I'm about to move into a little studio by myself after years living in a larger space with my now ex partner- very much preparing to have a "more stuff than space" problem so I need to make use of every square inch.

The new place has this odd shaped between the front door and the bathroom door that I'm not quite sure what to do with. If it was an actual corner I'd put in something like a locker for coats, shoes, bags etc but the shape makes it awkward.

Anyone have any ideas for what to do here- or even just some keywords that would help me find furniture that would fit the angles? I doubt i could afford anything completely custom built but I am a pretty confident DIYer so suggestions for that would also be useful.

Here is a blue print of my layout of my room along with an actual photo. The layout has the dimensions of my room. I feel like my room is kinda tiny but I wanna make it feel better with what I have. That keyboard in the corner is gonna be a pain in the ass go change because there is no room anywhere else in my house so I put it in my room. Please give me tips or even you can make your own layout and show me a better room layout I can make with the dimensions I have. Anyways thank you

Bedroom Rental bedroom help, working with a dark wall color/carpet and small space

About to move into this lovely little room and need some serious help. It's my first time renting since living with my mom in a hot sec and I really want to make an effort in making my new room reflect me more. My hope is to create an aesthetic that's feng shui, quirky, inviting, warm soft colors/lighting, and slightly feminine.

All the items in the room you see are the owner's and can be moved out or kept in, including the bed. Because the room is so small, I'm considering replacing it with my twin bed which has a white wooden frame/headboard and dismounting the tv since I won't use it. Any suggestions on trying to soften up the dark wall and carpet somehow?? Love green, just not this dark for the room! I'm not sure if the owner will let me use wallpaper. I'm also tempted to rotate the bed so that the head is against the dark wall, but worry about making the wall color stand out more if I did so. Also would love tips on making the space look bigger. All advice welcome and appreciated!

Sorry the last pic is a lil blurry; it's a screenshot from a fast video I took.

ETA: Unfortunately owner does not allow painting or adding more holes to the walls!

I'm struggling to work out the best furniture layout for me and my partners bedroom and would love some suggestions 🙏

  • Queen-sized bed
  • Separate walk-in wardrobe, so no need for clothing storage
  • I'm renting, so can't make any structural changes

I've attached a floorplan with measurements, show me what u got reddit!

Particularly interested in where you'd position the bed and what you'd do with the remaining space.

Wondering if anyone has any better ideas than my bedrooms layout right now. I share a room with my 6 year old, the bed is a loft (twin on top and full on bottom). It looks cramped (it is) but it somehow works ENOUGH. I’d like it to feel like I’m NOT stepping over furniture which is my biggest issue. Added a more accurate sized latter.

Dining Room Help me make a dining area and living space for socializing

Hoping to take our tiny living space in our tiny house and make it more suitable for entertaining for meals or hanging out.

We want to move the TV out of this room and are thinking getting rid of the wall unit storage thing is probably necessary as that wall is pretty much the only one in the house that will accept it.

Keeping the couch and the lounge chair are a goal, all else pretty much is open to replacement. Hoping to add storage, have an overall cleaner look and have a place for guests to hang and even a dining area that would accommodate 4-5 people

Any ideas are welcome- thanks!

This space has long bothered me. It's an awkward layout and just not super warm, cozy, or functional. We primarily use the sliding door to come in and out from our garage. I am open to new layout ideas, new colors, anything! We are on a lower budget. We cannot change the grey floors unfortunately.

Other Interior Room Awkward corner behind door

So I have this really weird space in a corner. As you can see its open space/my kitchen to the left and I would option to have the door open/secret storage behind the door but its my bathroom, which means I want to have it closed.
The door also can be swung fully, so the door handle can also strike the furniture behind it in worst case.

The side with the button/electronic is like 50cm and the one with the door is like 30cm.

Help? X)

Hello all wonderful people! I recently cleaned out this whole room for me to have a blank canvas for a gaming room. The thing is I get too overwhelmed with the possiblities so I thought some of you could help me. What I need help with is coming up with ideas on what to add to make this a cool gaming room. I was thinking making it using GTA VI colors and going for that vibe in here. What do you guys suggest I put in here? (Keyboard can be moved)

Bedroom Bedroom Layout Opinions

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi guys, I’m looking for any feedback on which bedroom layout would be the best for the apartment I’m moving into soon. The room has three doors and a window, and I tried designing around those elements. All the layouts feature two nightstands, a bed, tv + stand, desk, and a sofa/loveseat. I’d like to be able to move a togo style loveseat in front of the tv for better viewing and then back to its spot.

I’m currently leaning towards the second option, even though it disrupts the path between the two doors as it allows the loveseat to fully fit in front of the window, instead of half. The dimensions aren’t exact, but there also might be a space limitation with the desk in option three, I’d have to see.

Dining Room how would you improve this dining nook?

Thumbnail gallery

I feel like I'm not maximizing this space as well as I could. Due to the layout of my house...this space is primarily used as my WFH "office" because I only have a laptop...which is why I have a more comfortable desk chair on the left. I know the chairs don’t match, but hard to justify another $400 chair just for the occasional times someone else sits across from me.

I kkkw the elephant in the room is "using your dining room as an office is weird" but hey, small houses are small. I would really love a way to have an even more comfortable seat here, stretch the legs and hangout by the kitchen table more throughout the day, even this office chair leads to my body getting sore.

I feel like I could incorporate some sort of breakfast nook with a bigger table? It would be nice to have 3-4 people be able to sit here instead of 2-3 (and if it's 3, I bring up another chair and the table is clearly undersized for that).

However...there's not a ton of room for a huge table and chairs, so I'm not exactly sure what to do. Any thoughts? Thanks much!

Bedroom Help with horrible closet shape

Post image
1 Upvotes

We have a walk in closest that is the worst shape for my brain to try to figure out a functional layout for. Right now it only has rods to hang stuff on the walls but both my husband and I need drawers so I’d like to figure out a layout and build out a nice looking closet system that has mostly drawers and shelves with some spots to hang things. It’s a very awkward shape. I measured the walls best I could and a couple of the measurements might be off half an inch or an inch but it’s hard to tell cause of the angles and I don’t normally do this type of thing. I took a picture of a drawing for the layout

All the sites to enter in rom dimensions I tried where only for normal square rooms or only had one angle for a wall.

Any help with a free site that I can enter this is and mess with or just layout ideas that would fit is all appreciated.

We’re trying to decide between these two dining chair options. Which one would you choose if this were your house?
