I'm making a Halloween art inspired by Halloween Lolita Fashion, I hope to finish it on the 31st.

Sayori and MC are essentially direct emotional, inverted and flawed mirrors of each other.

Evidence to support this theory is that at the very start of the game, MC is a completely loner, a NEET, and a complete slug and an introvert forced to introduce himself to very intimidating women to him. He is absolutely at his lowest point. However, on the flip side, Sayori is at her absolute peak of happiness. She had helped jumpstart a literature club she is the vice president of. A place where everyone is completely comfortable at and this makes Sayori’s selflessness completely fulfilled and satisfied. She is also incredibly ecstatic she’d convinced her favorite person in the world, MC to begrudgingly visit and eventually crumble under pressure and join. She is absolutely happy.

Furthermore, at the very end of Act 1, MC is at the peak of happiness and fulfillment. He has successfully caught a date with a girl at the festival, hung out with them by either baking or decorating for the event. And firmly believes he has “cured” Sayori’s depression and validated her feelings with an ultimatum. Looking at Sayori, however, she is at her very lowest. Her emotional bottles have completely filled up and are now overflowing in one big breakdown. She is contemplating simply ending it in a false belief that nobody will miss her and this choice would make MC eternally happy not having to carry the “burden” of caring about her.

Finally, skipping all the way to Act 4 (The Special, Good Ending) Sayori finally has full closure with complete self-awareness and Monika’s non-existence. She is able to successfully thank the player for spending time with them and helping them smile. Her final moments are of fulfillment and realization that the club isn’t as bleak as she thought. Though she still needs to end the virtual machine realizing it would just hurt everyone. In the other hand, MC’s autonomy is completely wiped. He gets no closure or explanation for his trauma and is erased from existence shortly afterwards. His final moments being his happy ending being torn away and he went completely un-acknowledged.

In conclusion, this is why I believe Sayori and MC are direct, flawed and inverted mirrors of each other.

As the title suggests, I will make a meme out of every single readable dialogue text in DDLC. All restrictions include:

No-Pics-Tuesday: To remedy this on r/DDLC I will post any memes meant for Tuesdays a few hours just before the "No-Pics-Tuesday" curfew takes effect every Monday.

Every single readable dialogue text in DDLC: All these memes will be on a consistent piece of dialogue frame/text from DDLC. Some pieces of text dialogue, especially from acts: 2 and 3, will not be included and skipped, as the dialogue text has to be readable, at least in the original act 1 form.

DDLC+: Any bonus content and side stories dialogue from DDLC+ will not be included; I will only include dialogue text from the base free game of DDLC.

Prologue viewer discretion text: The dialogue text before the main menu asking: "That you are over the age of 13 and that DDLC has disturbing content and isn't made for kids." Will not be included.

Repeat dialogue: Any dialogue text that is repeated directly after the previous text box, will not be included, mainly to avoid things getting too repetitive. Some dialogue text from acts: 2 and 4, are an exception to this, with including Doki routes contrasting with acts: 1 and 2.

Doki Routes and casual run: On the posts before the poem minigame sequence at the end of each club day, depending on the comments, you all have the ability to make me choose whichever route (Doki) you want me to continue with for the next day. I also will not go through the other routes if they aren't selected. I will not retrace and collect any dialogue I missed due to the comment suggestions and treat it like a regular, casual, single playthrough of DDLC, and not a 100% run.

Choice and Pop-up text boxes: If there is a choice box directly after a set of dialogue. I will include the choice box with the previous dialogue text on that set day. With, depending on the comments, you all can make me choose whatever option you want me to select moving forward. Any choice boxes that repeat and do nothing will not be included, again, to avoid more repetitive text. Pop-up boxes will be included as its own separate day only if they don't repeat or do nothing. Pop-up text boxes with a: "Yes or No" option will be included with the dialogue text previous to it on that day, With also, depending on the comments, you all can make me choose: "Yes or No."

The poem minigame: The poem minigame will not be included along with its associated pop-up text box.

Monika's act 3 20 sets of RNG dialogue scenarios: Near the end of act 3, when you stare at Monika forever before you delete her, she can have 20 sets of dialogue scenarios to talk to you during that time. These will not be included, as it isn't necessary to wait with Monika for eternity to complete DDLC, and this would get too repetitive real quick. Also, I don't think RNG will make things fair.

Spoilers and TW's: During very intense and big scenes, I will mark them with a spoiler warning, with also trigger warnings if necessary, should the day need it.

Future revisions to these restrictions and quality updates will be added if necessary.

Yes im complaining about mc again

Before any of you "MC isn't a character," "people" give me shit, hear me out

First of all, the lore reason for his exclusion makes sense. MC is tied to the dating sim stimulation. He doesn't have a separate character file that can be used in other things. But I honestly dont like that the side stories were tied to the meta stuff in the first place, and im sure there's something that could have been done to include him

Also, the side stories are an AU, not a prequel

Second of all. MCs relationship with sayori is very important to sayori and the games story. The fact that the side stories are focused on characters' relationships but dont include the undeniably most important relationship is crazy to me. I really want to see how MC would handle her depression, like trying to understand better or getting over his savior complex and guilt around it, as well as the fact that monika already knows about her depression, could lead into MC and Monikas side story with her helping him navigate it, theres so much potential here, not even mentioning natsuki and yuri

Third. It could have fully characterized him. MC has all the groundwork for an interesting character, a personality, personal problems, and history, but it never gets expanded upon. This is an issue i have with ddlc in general, we know of things like Yuris self harm,Natsukis shitty dad, and all of MCs personal problems, but none of it is ever expanded on, all we know is that it exists

Fourth, a counterargument i see a lot is that the side stories are supposed to be about the friendships, without romance, but why does MC being included automatically have to make it romance? Are men and women just not allowed to be friends? Plus, the fact that the characters' tropes are toned down in the side stories, which would include MC too, so he'd be less focused on dating one of them
