DAE love sleeping with the window open, but absolutely hate having to get up and close it at 5:00 AM?
For most of the year (spring, autumn, and even chilly summer or winter nights), my absolute favorite way to fall asleep is with the bedroom window cracked open. There is nothing better than crisp, fresh air.
The problem hits around 4:00 or 5:00 AM:
- The temperature outside plummets, and I wake up freezing.
- Morning traffic starts up, or early morning pollen/dust rolls in, making the room stuffy or loud.
- I’m forced to make the ultimate morning sacrifice: crawl out of a warm bed into the freezing air just to slam the window shut.
If I leave it closed all night, the room gets stuffy and my sleep quality suffers. If I leave it open, I freeze by dawn.
How does everyone else deal with this? Are there any clever workarounds, or do we all just suffer through the morning freeze?
