Hi everyone,

I am looking for a skilled and creative freelance video editor to take over and completely re-edit my wedding footage.

Unfortunately, the initial edits provided by my primary wedding videography team did not meet my expectations and taste in terms of pacing, storytelling, color grading, and audio/music synchronization.

After multiple rounds of revisions with no real improvement, I've decided to bring in a dedicated professional to start fresh.

What I need:

1. Teaser (1–2 minutes, cinematic & punchy)

2. Trailer / Highlight Film (4–7 minutes, emotional narrative with well-synced audio/music)

3. Full Wedding Video / Ceremony Edit

With proper audio balancing, sound design, and clean color correction/grading

Requirements & Project Details:

All RAW video and audio footage is available and ready for transfer.

Looking for an Indian who's experienced specifically with modern, cinematic wedding edits.

Budget: Competitive and negotiable based on portfolio, skill level, and day/project rates (happy to discuss via DM).

If you are interested, please send a DM with:

Links to your wedding editing portfolio or relevant reels.

Your turnaround time.

Your estimated rates or pricing structure.

Looking forward to working with someone who can bring these memories to life the way they deserve. Thank you!

Hello, I'm a beginner on Davinci and I'm trying to build my portfolio, editing for FREE.
Trying to set foot on a specific niche but send me over any ideas or videos you have and I'll let you know if I can edit!

I Used to vlog along time ago but i don't have time to edit anymore, i can shoot content, i am looking for a editor to help me on my journey, this is a long term project.

As a video editor you know the problem: Adjusting audio to -14 LUFS can be a hassle, same with safe zones Checking... so I built them as free web tools.

The ones I use myself the most:

- Safe zone checker: drop a 9:16 frame and see what the caption, username and buttons cover on TikTok, Reels, Shorts and Stories

- Thumbnail checker: see your thumbnail at the real sizes YouTube shows it, incl. the tiny ones on mobile

- LUFS meter: check if your audio hits around -14 LUFS before you upload

- Video to text: transcript and subtitle file from a video or a public link

All here: https://shortformkit.com/safe-zone-checker/ (the others are linked from there)

It's a side project and free. I'm working on a better version of the safe zone checker right now, so if something is missing or annoying, tell me. That's the main reason I'm posting.

Hey everyone, I'm Jun, a video editor based in Brazil. I'm putting together my portfolio and want to do one free edit for one creator.

What I work on:

• Short-form (YouTube Shorts / TikTok / Reels): tight pacing, captions with the punchlines highlighted, memes and sound effects when they suit the video
• Documentary-style long-form: narration-led edits with B-roll, maps/graphics and AI-assisted visuals
• Motion graphics and animated titles, made in Remotion
• Clean, loudness-normalized audio so it sounds consistent on every platform

Sample: https://youtu.be/SefHVh8xugY (a space video I edited)

The deal: one edit, either a short up to ~60s or a long-form video of a few minutes. All I ask is permission to include it in my portfolio and an honest testimonial if you like the result. No catch, no upsell.

Send me by DM:

• A link to your raw footage (Drive/Dropbox)
• Which platform it's for and the target length
• 1–2 reference videos showing the style you're after
• Brand assets (fonts, colors, logo) and a deadline, if you have them

I'll pick one project that's a good fit and get back to everyone who reaches out either way.
